    In a labelling machine labels 10, 11 and/or foil blanks 15 are cut from rolled-up strip material 25 and supplied to a station from which they are removed and applied to bottles. They may be removed from said station by glueing segments 3, 4 and 5 pivotally mounted on a rotating carrier 1. In the apparatus shown in fig. 1 the foil blanks only are cut from a strip by a cutter 27 and drop into a box 14 at said station. In other embodiments figs. 4 and 6, the cutters (57) are pivotally mounted on a turntable (56).     The device works as follows.

    When working with ready-made labels, the glue segments 21 capture, when rotating, from the label binder 12 located on their way and feed them to the clamshell cylinder (not shown in the figures).
    If necessary, the filing of the film blank 19 and the label simultaneously glue segments 20 and 21 capture, respectively, the workpiece 19 from the support plate 13 and the label from the label holder 12 and feed them to the clamshell cylinder.
