专利摘要:
1388010 Frames of filter-press cells RHONE-PROGIL 22 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 59420/72 Heading C7B A polyester frame, for a filter-press cell for electrolysis of alkali metal chloride solutions to produce chlorine or chlorate, comprises a lower zone 1 for receiving electrolyte, e.g. through inlet 6 and apertures 7, and either an anode or a cathode, and an enclosed upper zone 2 for receiving gas produced by electrolysis, e.g. chlorine for discharge through duct 4, and forming an extension of the lower zone, communicating therewith by apertures 3. Ducts 5 may be provided in the frame body in the lower zone for recycling separated electrolyte in the upper zone to unite with electrolyte introduced through inlet 6. A filter-press cell comprises a plurality of such anodic and cathodic frames 13, 14 of different heights, alternating with bipolar electrodes 15, each comprising anodic and cathodic parts 16, 17, e.g. Ti sheets covered with Pt and steel grids, with mixed metal sheet 18, and diaphragms 24. The anodic and cathodic frames are preferably respectively connected by a single outlet duct 25, 26 for gas (chlorine and hydrogen) separated in the upper zones; electrolyte inlet and outlet ducts 27, 28 are also connected. The bipolar electrodes described in Specifications 1388008 and 1388009 are referred to. 公开号:SU843769A3 申请号:SU721869482 申请日:1972-12-22 公开日:1981-06-30 发明作者:Буи Пьер;Коллар Даниель 申请人:Рон-Прожиль (Фирма); IPC主号:
专利说明:
The invention relates to the construction of apparatus used for the production of chlorine and alkali by the electrolysis of alkali metal chloride solutions. A filterpress type electrolyzer containing frames with perforated partitions separating the space of the frame on the upper and lower parts and channels formed in the side walls of the frames and electrodes located in the lower parts of the frames, diaphragms and gaskets is located between the frames. The upper parts of the frames are made in the form of chambers open from the front sides. When assembling the electrolytic cell, the frames are installed in such a way that the chambers of the upper parts of all the frames are combined to form a single channel. The pads are located around the perimeter of the frame. L The disadvantage of such an electrolyzer is the increased power consumption due to significant current leakage and the difficulty of mounting the frame due to its large size and the complex shape of the gaskets. . . The purpose of the invention is to reduce energy consumption by reducing leakage currents and facilitating the installation of the electrolyzer. This goal is achieved by the fact that the filter-type electrolyzer contains frames with perforated partitions dividing the space of the frames into upper and lower parts and channels the side walls of the frames, the electrodes placed in the lower parts of the frames, the diaphragms and the gaskets located between the frames, the upper parts of the frames. from the front sides are provided with walls, and seal. The gaskets are located along the perimeter of the lower parts of the frames. FIG. 1 schematically shows the proposed electrolyzer; in fig. 2 -. Electrolyzer frame. The cell has monopolar electrodes 1; bipolar electrodes 2, frames 3 and 4, sealing gaskets 5, diaphragms 6, end plates 7. Monopolar electrodes 1 are equipped with current leads. 8. Rama has bo: owls walls 9 in which the channels 10 are filled. The frame space is divided by a partition 11 with openings 12 into the upper part 13 and lower part 14. The upper part 13 of the frames is closed on the end sides by walls 15 and 16 and thus the upper part of each frame is camera isolated from the camera adjacent frame. In these chambers the gas-liquid mixture separates into them from the lower parts through the openings 12. The choke 17 serves to discharge the gaseous products of the electrolyzer: chlorine from frame 3 and hydrogen from frame 4. Since the volume of chlorine and hydrogen is different, the height of the upper parts Frame 3 and 4 are different and are chosen so that a complete separation of the gas-liquid mixture occurs. (Fittings 18 and 19 are used to inject fresh electrolyte. Due to the fact that the upper part of each frame is made in the form of a chamber isolated from the chambers of other frames, current leakage in the electrolyzer is significantly reduced, which reduces the consumption of electro-allergy. In addition / the execution of the upper parts of the frames in the form of insulated chambers makes it possible to arrange sealing gaskets around the perimeter of only the lower parts of the frames. At the same time, the gaskets have smaller dimensions and a simpler shape than in the known electrolyzer, which facilitates assembly of the electrolyzer.
