    1486719 Anti-skid systems FIAT SpA 16 May 1975 [30 May 1974] 20869/75 Heading F2F In a pneumatic anti-skid system having a valve 22 for controlling the release of air from the brake actuator 24 when incipient skidding is sensed and a further valve 18 for controlling the subsequent re-application of pressure from the compressed air source 10, an accumulator 30 is connected in paiallel with valve 22 so as to be charged (via check valve 34) to brake applying pressure before valve 22 is operated to its release position and to discharge to the brake actuator (via check valve 32 and valve 22) when valve 22 is returned to its normal, illustrated, position. This results in a rapid rise in brake applying pressure until the accumulator and line 20 pressures equalize; thereafter the rate of increase in pressure is governed by the characteristics of valve 18. Valve 22 has a metering discharge outlet 26 and its operation is controlled by signals from a wheel condition sensor 28.

    (54) ANTI-BLOCK PNEUMATIC BRAKE VEHICLE SYSTEM
