An apparatus for producing tires suitable for use on vehicles from elastomers, especially from rubber by injection-molding is disclosed. The apparatus has a multi-part cord defining an inner side of a mold cavity for receiving separately prefabricated reinforcements of the tire. The cord can be reduced in size to define the external periphery by relative displacement of individual parts for the removal of the tire from the mold. The mold core with the reinforcements is inserted into a multi-part injection mold by which the core is completely enclosed.

The invention relates to the manufacture of pneumatic tires and is intended for the manufacture of tires.

The aim of the invention is to simplify the equipment for implementing the method.

The pre-assembled frame 1 is molded to a toroidal 'shape' and, together with reinforcing elements, for example, a belt 2, is placed on a rigid mandrel 3, which is then installed in the mold 4. The belt 2 is put on the frame with tension, which ensures its centering relative to the frame th molding when casting and giving it a convex shape.
The sectors 5 of the mold 4 are closed, the latter is locked and injection molding of the elastomeric material in the cavity of the mold forms the sides 6.7 of the tire (FIG. 1). Then the sidewalls are vulcanized. After that, the mandrel 3 with the frame 1 located on it with molded sides 6 and 7 together with the central parts 8 and 9 of the mold is transferred to the second mold 10 (Fig. 2), similar in construction to the first mold 4, but having cavities 11 in sectors 12. Further, by injection molding of the elastomeric material in the cavity 11, a cushion layer and a searchlight are simultaneously formed.
In this case, the sidewalls and tread can be cast from various materials. When a tread is formed, its material fills the mold cavities 11 until 6 and 7 are connected to the side. Then vulcanization is performed, while the tread material is firmly connected to the sidewall material, resulting in a monolithic tire.

The proposed method allows the formation of sidewalls, a cushion layer and a tread in uniform molds, slightly differing from each other in the design of replacement parts, which prevents the equipment for the manufacture of tires for pneumatic tires and reduces the cost of manufacturing the latter. whereby on a pre-assembled frame with reinforced elements they are formed by molding under pressure, the sidewall and cushion layer are vulcanised, the framework is molded to a toroidal shape, the protector is molded by injection molding and vulcanized, with a touch that in order to simplify the equipment for carrying out the process, a frame to the toroidal shape is molded before the formation of sidewalls, and a cushion layer is formed simultaneously with the casting of the tread.
