1375022 Glass forming machine HERMANN HEYE 9 Nov 1971 [14 April 1971] 51985/71 Heading C1M The press plunger and/or mould clamp of a glass processing machine is driven by a roller 323, 291 running on a curved cam track 331, 293 and a servomotor 307, 283 connected between the roller and the clamp or plunger, the servomotor being controllable in dependence on the position of the roller to provide motive power to move the clamp or plunger. The motor is preferably a rotary vane compressed air servomotor. The motor 307 for driving the plunger is controlled by a rack 321 on which the roller 323 is mounted and which at its other end meshes with a gear wheel mounted on the shaft of the motor. The motor 283 for driving the mould clamp is controlled by a crank arm 290 carrying the roller 291 and operating through a spring 807, gearing 809 and shaft 815 on the drive shaft 829 of the motor. At the lower end of the punch holder 7 there is a holder 10 with a bracket 11, opposite to which the levers 12, 13 of the closing unit 14 are mounted on the holder 4 of the intermediate ring 5. The intermediate ring 5 is supported by a detachable holder 4. Each preform 15 has only partially lifting on its drawing device 1 The machine has a number of racks 17, on which chains 18 and 19 are reinforced with transporting carriages 20, each of which has two sterns 21, on which two halves of the separating ring of the holder 22 are perpendicular to the plane of the drawing (see Fig. 1). The holder 22 has two rings 23. Inside the housing 24 and at some distance from it is the inner housing 25, hermetically welded to the baseplate 26 and the housing 24. The hollow space 27 formed by both the enclosures conducts cold air for the punch 8. Inside the housing 25 the charge 26 and the support plate 28 there is a through axial bore through which the sleeve 29 passes downwards, and the guide tube 31 passes upward into the housing 30. The sleeve 29 has a flange 32 which is connected to the flange 33 of the guide tube 31 by means of a screw 34. In the sleeve 29 there is a support sleeve 35 in which a movable clamping sleeve 36 is installed. A rod 37 passes through the spring sleeve 36, with which it is connected by a lead finger 38. The upper end of the sternum 37 passes through the upper part of the guide tube 31 in such a way that it can in it to move. There is a sealing ring 39 in the upper part of the guide tube. There is a pressure spring 40 between the upper part and the spring sleeve 36. At the lower end of the rod 37, the bracket 11 is connected to the sleeve 41, which has slots, and the clamping screw 42. The vertical position of the bracket 11 can be changed depending on the distance between the intermediate ring holder and the lower end of the rod 37, in order to ensure the required closing value holder 4 power. FIG. 2, the dotted line denotes an internal groove 43 in a sleeve 41 having slots. This groove interacts with the wedge 44 of the rod 37 and provides the corresponding position of the bracket 11 relative to the rod 37. The upper part of the guide tube 31 has a slot 45 in which the transverse element 46 of the rod 37 moves so that there is no relative rotation of the rod relative to the guide tube. The elements of the split holder of the intermediate ring 5 are shown in FIG. four. The gear 48 mounted on the driven-drive-driven 6 of the shaft 47 is the first gear link 49 of the drive 6 of the holder 4 of the intermediate ring 5. The gear wheel 48 is meshed with a gear 50 which is another size branch. . The transfer 49 is connected to the halves 51 and 52 of the collet-shaped element of the holder 4 of the intermediate ring 5. Each half of the 51, 52 collet-shaped element through two pins 53, 54 and 55, 56 is connected to the supporting element 57 and 58 of the halves 51 and 52: The supporting elements 57 and 58 with the possibility of rotation mounted on the pin 59. On each of the bearing elements 57, 58 one of the levers 12 13 of the closing unit 14 is located. Each of these levers is mounted on one of the axes 60, 61 and is usually pressed against the stop pin under the action of the spring 62, 63. When the holder 10 moves downward, the clamp 11 contacts the locking levers 12, 13, which pull down its free end. Due to the constant distance in the light between the downwardly bent ends of the clamp 17, a pressure force arises in this downward pressure, which acts in the horizontal direction, which presses both bearing members 57, 58 and thereby both halves 51, 52 of the clamped member, thereby increasing the locking force of the intermediate ring holder 5. The invention will improve the accuracy of fixation of the form, and thereby improve the quality of the glassware obtained on the device for pressing them.
