    1474989 Spinning yams D S O TEXTIL 27 Aug 1974 [27 Aug 1973] 37482/74 Headings D1F and D1W A fancy yarn, which may vary in effects e.g. in colour and/or denier/thickness, with or without loops, is formed by a first or core yarn, a second or effect yarn and a third or binding yarn. A method of making the yarn comprises drawing the first and second yarns at different respective speeds together between a pair of rollers the pressure between which can be steplessly regulated (to form the fancy effect) the drawing being effected by a set of rollers; feeding the first and second yarns to a rotating hollow spindle carrying a package of the third yarn which is unwound therefrom; passing the three yarns without twisting through the spindle bore; thence through a false-twist device mounted on the spindle, at the exit end of the bore and upstream of the drawing rollers in order to twist the first and second yarns together and to bind the third yarn thereabout in a zone between the device and the drawing rollers. As shown, core and effect yarns 1 and 4 supplied from bobbins 2 and 5 and tensioned by braking devices 3 and 6, are drawn at different linear speeds through guides 7 and between pressure rollers 8 and 9 (adjustably loaded by a variably compressible spring 12) slipping on yarn 1 but not on 4. Drawing is effected by rollers 13 and 14 which are preceded by rotating hollow spindle 15 which carries, and supplies the third yarn 18 from, a package 16 and, by means of wire loop or coil spring extension twister 19, applies false-twist to form the final yarn which is wound on a bobbin 21 by drum winder 20. The dimensions and shapes of the fancy effect may be varied e.g. by changing the speed of rollers 8, 9, relative speeds of rollers 13, 14, and 8, 9, regulating the tensions in the yarns and/or pressure between rollers. Mechanical drives are derived from a motor through shafts 27, 30 and belt and pulley transmissions shown schematically.

    The invention relates to the field J for producing fancy yarns.

    The known device does not allow to obtain yarn with different shaped effects.
    The aim of the invention is the expansion of technological capabilities. By increasing the variety of shaped effects on the yarn.
    The objective is achieved in that the proposed device has a feed pair of cylindrical rollers with a means for loading them, located at the top of the hollow spindle, and an exhaust pair of rollers located between the spindle and means for & receiving shaped yarn, means for loading the feed pair of cylindrical rollers made in the form of an adjustable spring, the axis of the hollow spindle and the touch line of the cylindrical 30 rollers are located in the same plane and intersect at right angles.
    The drawing shows the proposed device for producing Shaped yarn.
    A device for producing fancy yarn contains packages 1 and 2 with core and surge threads, brake devices 3 and 4, a supply pair of 5 cylindrical rollers with a spring 6 for their load, located at the top of the hollow spindle 7 with the element for false twist 8, the exhaust pair 9 rollers located between the spindle 7 and means 10 for receiving fancy yarn. The hollow spindle 7 has a package 11 with a fixing thread. The axis of the hollow spindle 7 and the ka’’ line. The cylindrical rollers are located in the same plane and cross (repent at right angles.
    The device operates as follows. . ·
    The rod and surge threads are pulled from the packages 1 and 2, brake devices 3 and 4 pass and are sent to the feed pair of cylindrical rollers. Due to the difference in the thickness of the core and surge threads, the core thread has a speed equal to the speed of the exhaust pair of 9 rollers, and the surge thread has the speed of the feed pair of rollers. When passing through the hollow spindle 7 and the False twist element 8, the core thread is twisted with a surge thread, and when the spindle is rotated, the threads are twisted tightly with the thread coming from the package 11.
    A variety of shaped effects on the yarn create’s by changing the speed of the feed pair of cylindrical rollers, changes in the force of pressing them and the tension of the threads when feeding to the supply pair.
    Then the twisted yarn goes to the exhaust pair of 9 rollers and goes to the tool 10 for receiving fancy yarn.
    The proposed implementation of the device allows you to expand technological capabilities by increasing the variety of shaped effects on the yarn.
