1509578 Pipe joint PONT-A-MOUSSON SA 13 June 1975 [5 July 1974] 25299/75 Heading F2G In a pipe joint allowing for relative angular movement between pipe member, a pipe end 1 is received into a socket 3 and retained by the bayonet type engagement of a radial wall portion 14 and at least one radial projection 13 which extends from locking members 12 secured, e.g. by welding, adhesion of cable band, to the pipe end. A sealing ring 10 is received into a cavity 5 defined within the socket and retained by its shape, or a split ring 11 on the pipe end. An alternative embodiment differs in that the end of the locking segment remote from the socket defines a cavity closed at its end by an inwardly extending radial wall locking being effected by the abutment of a ring member welded to adhered to, or integral with the pipe end against a wedge disposed between confronting faces of the pipe end ring and locking segment wall. The joint is formed preferably of cast iron.

Known locking compound 'sewer pipes, with (their mutual angular movement, comprising two pipes, one of which has a smooth finish, while the other - one is provided with a bell having one side slot seal ring and on the other hand - at the free end of the groove the thrust protrusion with a groove directed inward and the bayonet-type locking device in the form of a locking part, one part of which, external to the socket, is fixed to the smooth end of the pipe, and the other has a radial dumb corresponding groove (1]..
The disadvantages of the known locking compounds are the complexity of its manufacture, installation, as well as its certain high cost.
In order to eliminate these shortcomings in the proposed compounds, the locking part is made in the form of a cylindrical segment.
The proposed blocking connection of sewer pipes is cheaper and easier to manufacture, the installation of the connection is much easier, since during the installation it is required to move 30 only relatively light cylindrical segments.
In FIG. 1 shows a blocking connection of sewer pipes, ® longitudinal section; in FIG. 2 - section A — A in figure 1; in FIG. 3 - blocking joints of sewer pipes with their mutual angular displacement and with two cylindrical 10 segments, longitudinal section.
The blocking connection of the sewer pipes includes the smooth end of the pipe 1, which is inserted into the socket 2 of the pipe 3. The socket 2 contains a shoulder 4 made in a cylindrical section 5, which is connected through a truncated cone 6 to the second cylindrical section 7. The cylindrical section 7 is axially bounded by 2 persistent protrusion 8, which is equipped with a groove 9, approximately square section.
An annular seal 10 is placed in the nestle formed by the smooth end of the pipe 1, a cylindrical section 25 and a shoulder 4, which is limited by a split ring 11 mounted on the pipe 1.
The blocking connection is provided with a blocking part in the form of a cylinder “Г-” of the segment 12, the inner surface of which is adjacent to the outside of the pipe 1. The end of the cylindrical segment 12 is provided with a radial protrusion 13 with an outward (bell) flat, radial bearing surface 14, and the other side it has an inclined surface of 15. 4
The protrusion 13 has a cross section of an almost square shape, the width d and the height h of which allows it to pass through the groove 9.
The assembly of such a connection is as follows.
First, the end of the pipe 1 is introduced into the (bell 2. The end of the pipe 1 is directed through the hole in the collar 4 of the bell 2. Then, with the help of a tool necessary for this purpose, the ring seal 10 is introduced into the annular gap between the pipe 1 and the cylindrical section 5. The ring seal 10 in this case,> is compressed radially between the pipe 1 and the cylindrical section 5. Then, a split ring 11 is inserted, pre-mounted (also as a seal) on the end of the pipe 1 so that it fits near the edge of the cylindrical section 5.
After that, the connection is blocked. The cylindrical segment 12 is inserted into the pipe 1, the protrusion 13 of the cylindrical segment is introduced into the groove 9. The inner surface of the cylindrical segment 12 is pressed against the outer surface

The segment 12, the inner side of which is adjacent to the outer side of the pipe 1. The end of the cylinder of the Richa segment 12 is provided with a radial protrusion 13 with a reversed outside (socket) flat, radial bearing surface 14, and on the other side it has an inclined surface 15. 2. Then, using the necessary tool for this purpose, an annular seal 1p is inserted into the annular gap between the pipe 1 and the cylindrical section 5. An annular seal 10 is radially compressed between pipe 1 and the cylindrical section 5. Then a split ring 11 is inserted, pre-mounted (also like a seal) on the end of pipe 1 so that it fits near the edge of the cylindrical section 5. After that, the connection is blocked . The cylindrical segment 12 is mounted on the tube 1, the protrusion 13 of the cylindrical segment is inserted into the groove 9. The inner surface of the cylindrical segment 12 is pressed against the outer surface of the pipe 1, the cylindrical segment 12 is rotated until the desired angular position is reached and the radial surface 14 of the protrusion 13 is brought to the inner surface the protrusion 8. The part of the cylindrical segment 12 located outside the socket 2 is attached to the pipe 1 by means of a weld. Claims of the blocking connection of sewer pipes with the possibility of their mutual ANGULAR O1; clones comprising two pipes, one of which has a smooth end and the other is made with a socket that has a nest on the one side for the ring seal and on the other side a radial end an inwardly thrust ledge with a groove and a locking device of a bayonet type in the form of a locking part, one part of which is external to the socket attached to the smooth end of the pipe, and has another one ny protrusion corresponding to the groove, characterized in that in order to oblegche-. neither the installation nor the cost of manufacture, the locking part is made in the form of a cylindrical segment.
