The trapezoidal cross-section or profile of an endless driving belt is shaped by means of an uninterrupted row of thin metal plates transversely mounted on a metallic pull band over the entire length thereof. The plates are pressed against each other by tensile stress in the pull band. The pull band may advantageously be subdivided into two separate, parallel band strips each these two strips being inserted from oppisite sides in sideward slots provided in the metal plates. The alignment of each plate in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the band is maintained by coupling means between all contiguous plates preventing lateral shifting of each plate with respect to its adjoining plates but allowing a slight mutual tipping of the plates around an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the pull band and parallel to the plane thereof.

This invention relates to a general mechanical engineering.
Known drive belt with a trapezoidal profile. Containing at least two bearing metal tapes stacked on each other and transverse plates of metal 1 mounted on them.
In the known belt there are high specific loads on the contact surfaces, since the load is distributed unevenly, therefore the transmitted power is small.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the transmitted power and simplify assembly.
This is achieved in that the belt is provided with additional transverse plates having flanges for supporting the main plates and mounted between them on the carrier tapes, all plates being fixed from the longitudinal transverse displacement, each plate having a protrusion in the middle part entering the recess of the adjacent plate , parts of the main plates lying outside the neutral zone are flanged from the end to lock; size of additional plate on the axial axis of the belt

Invention Formula
1 "Endless drive belt with a trapezoidal profile, containing on one over another at least two supporting metal tapes and mounted on them transverse plates of solid material, such as metal, which is more so that, in order to increase the transmitted power and to simplify the assembly of the belt, it is provided with additional transverse plates fixed against movement.
2. The belt according to claim 1, wherein the additional transverse plates are made with flanging to support the main plates and are mounted between them on the carrier tape.

3. The belt according to claim 1, characterized in that each plate is made with a protrusion in the middle part, which is included in the recess of the adjacent plate. - - 4.
