The invention relates to devices for continuous cutting of longitudinal ribbons, mainly to mechanisms and aggregates that cut metal strips into strips with curvilinear, in particular sinusoidal, edges combined with them.
The aim of the invention is to improve the quality of finished products and increase the durability of knives.
FIG. 1 shows a device for continuous cutting of strips of material, top view; Fig 2 - the same, front view; on fig.Z - two cutting cylinder; figure 4 is one of the cutting cylinders; Fig. 5 shows a section of two cylinders in working condition when cutting strips from a belt.
A device for continuous cutting of strips of material comprises a base 1, on which a base 2 is located, connected through rotation drive means 3 and spindles 4 to a motor. The bed 2 is made in the form of a pair of racks 5, which serve as supports for the upper 6 and lower 7 cutting cylinders.
The cutting cylinders 6 and 7 of the state of the two shafts 8 and 9, on which several sets of knives are fixed by means of dowels.
Each set of knives consists of two knives 10 with counter curvilinear cutting edges and two knives 11 with curvilinear cutting edges directed in opposite directions, while the knives 10 on the shaft 8 form cutting pairs with overlapping knives 11 on the shaft 9. Each of the knives 10, 11 is cylindrical in shape with a boring on the side of the end surface with a cutting edge and with an insert 12 of a carbide material on which the cutting edge is formed.
On shafts 8 and 9 between the knives 10 and 11 there are several sets of gaskets. Each set of gaskets consists of two internal compensating gaskets 13, located in the bores of knives 10 and 11, two bushings 14 mounted on the shaft between the end surfaces of the internal compensating gaskets 13, at least two radially elastic, elastic gaskets 15, intermediate spacers 16, a spacer gasket 17 and two external compensating gaskets 18. shafts 8 and 9 of the cutting cylinders 6 and 7 by means of the spindles 4 for transmitting the synchronous rotation irrespective of the distance between the axes of the shafts 8 and 9.
The device works in the following way.
When cutting with a device for continuous cutting of strips of material is elastic in the radial direction, the stop gasket 15 of the upper cutting member
the cylinder 6 is pressed upwardly by the material 24, while the elastic gasket 15 of the lower cutting cylinder 7 is pressed downwards.
The gap between the cutting edges of the knives 10 and 11 is maintained and adjusted by intermediate spacers 16 and spacers 17.
