Three burners are supplied with pulverised fuel entrained in air from a splitter (1) and are brought to combustion under optimum conditions by adjustment of the secondary air flow (11) to each. Means, (6 and 11), are included by which the rates of flow of primary and secondary air can be determined and signals from these, and a representation of the total fuel supply are supplied to a computer (30) by which the amount of fuel flowing to each burner is deduced from the ratio of the air supplied to the burners.

Claim
1 ”A method for determining the fuel consumption for each burner connected to a divider, to which atomized fuel is supplied in the primary air stream, by measuring and individually regulating the supply of secondary air to each burner and determining the total fuel consumption for all burners, that, in order to improve the accuracy of determining the fuel consumption in each of the burners, additionally measure the flow rate of the primary air supplied to the divider, the flow rate of the secondary air is adjusted until the dose reaches the total of air corresponding to the optimal combustion conditions of this dose the total amount of fuel supplied to the distributors, and the ratio of air flow fed to each burner, determine the amount of fuel supplied to each burner "
