This invention relates to a lifting machinery industry, in particular to a drive for escalators.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the drive and reduce the size of the escalator.
1 shows an escalator with a drive, side view; in fig. 2 - a drive in the form of a single electric motor, the planetary transmission of which is engaged with the main shaft and the shaft of the handrails; Fig. 3 shows a drive in the form of a single electric motor, the planetary transmission of which is in engagement with the main shaft; in Fig. 4, a drive in the form of two electric motors coaxially arranged on one side and two planetary gears in engagement with the main shaft and handrail shaft; Fig. 5 shows a drive in the form of a block of two coaxially arranged on one side electric motors and one planetary gear engaging with the main shaft Omj in Fig. 6; a drive in the form of two blocks of two coaxially arranged electromotors and four planetary gears that are engaged with the main shaft and the shaft of the handrails in FIG. 7 — constructive performance of the electric motor with the external rotor.
The drive of the escalator consists of an electric motor 1 and a planetary gear 2, the output shaft of which is parallel to the main shaft 3 steps A and shaft 5 of the handrails 6.
The gear 7 of the transmission 2 is in direct engagement with the gear 8 of the main shaft 3 and the gear 9 of the shaft 5. The housing 10 of the distribution gear includes gears 8, 9 and through the lever 11 is attached to the support 12. The main shaft 3 steps 4 and the shaft 5 of the handrails 6 are interconnected by a chain transmission consisting of sprockets 13 and the drive chain 14, in the case when the planetary gear is engaged with the main shaft 3.
The escalator drive can be made in the form of two distribution gears of electric motors 1 and two planetary gears 2, which are in parallel with one main gear shaft 3 that are installed in parallel on one side of the housing 10.

The electric motor 1 with the outer rotor 15 has a shaft 16 with internal splines 17 for the input shaft 18 of the planetary gear 2. The shaft 16 on ball bearings 18 is housed in the stator 19 of the electric motor 1, which is flanged on the body of the planetary gear 2. The input shaft 18 of the planetary gear is designed as gears.

1. The drive for escalators containing an electric motor and a gear, kinematically connected with the main shaft of the steps and the shaft of the handrails, is different in that in order to increase the efficiency of the drive
and reduce the dimensions of the escalator, the electric motor and the gear train, made in the form of a planetary gear, are included in a block installed between the main shaft of the steps and the shaft of the handrails with a common central axis parallel to them, and the output gear of the planetary gear is in direct engagement with the main shaft steps.
