The invention relates to chemical plant protection agents, more specifically to attractant agents that attract male insects, and can be used in agriculture for controlling population density and mass trapping of insects. The purpose of the invention is to find means of attracting males. This goal is achieved by using as a attractant for Cossus COSSUS males a mixture of (Z) 5-β-dodecen-1-ylacetate with (g) -3-dodecens-1-ylacetate or (E) -5-dodecene- 1-ylacetate, or (g) -3-decen-1-yl-acetate in a ratio of 1-9: 1, respectively. (g) -5-Dodecene-1-ylacetate (Z-5-C - Ac) is part of the natural pheromone of Cossus cossus females (g) -Z-decene-1-ylacetate (Z-3-C-Ac), ( Z) -3-dodecene-1-ylacetate (Z-3-C) and (E) -5-dodecene-1-ylacetate (E-5-C, -Ac) do not possess atrantrant activity against male Cossus cossus . The attracting composition according to the invention can be used in traps containing mechanical devices to prevent the removal of insects trapped. The mixture can be used as such or dissolved in an inert solvent, emulsified in water or deposited on a solid carrier — clay, cloth, paper, sawdust, polymeric materials, and the like. Antioxidants, UV stabilizers can be added to the mixture. Suitable carriers may be oils and fats. SP CD CN (Z) 5C, -Ac, (E) -5-C, j-Ac, (Z) -Ac are described in the literature. (Z) -3-C, Q -Ac can be obtained by acetaping Z-3-decen-1-ola acetyl chloride. Example 1. Preparation of (Z) -3-Ae- cen-1-ylacetate. 0.011 mol of acetyl chloride is added dropwise at room temperature to a solution of 0.01 mol of (Z) -3-Ae-cen-1-ol in 20 mp of anhydrous benzene in the presence of 0.011 mol of pyridine. The mixture was stirred for 2 hours at room temperature, poured into water and extracted with hexane. The extract is washed with water, a saturated solution of sodium chloride and dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate. After evaporation of the solvent, 95% of the final product is obtained (IR (cm) 700 /). Example 2: Traps treated with adhesive and equipped with antioxidant-treated rubber switchgears. The traps were placed 1.5–2 m from the ground. The number of insects in the trap was checked every 3-4 days. The research results are presented in the table as the average number of males per trap during the week. The mixtures of isomeric Z-5-C, -Ac and Z-7-C, -Ac have a repulsive effect on Cossus cosusus males. The data for capturing Cossus COSSUS males are shown in the table.
