The invention relates to the peat industry and increases the degree of peat dewatering. The method of peat dewatering is carried out as follows. Raw peat through the loading mechanism 1 enters the hopper 2 for pre-submerging and is fed to stage 3 for mechanical dewatering. Then, the previously dehydrated peat feeds - in one or several chambers. They get saturated steam under pressure. Centrifuges are used as cameras. Thus, peat is subjected to simultaneous exposure to saturated steam and centrifugation. After unloading from the chambers, the peat is additionally dried by blowing it with air heated by the heat of water extracted from the peat during centrifugation. The invention relates to a method for peat dewatering.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the degree of peat dehydration.
The method of peat dewatering involves loading and drying it in successively placed sealed chambers under the action of saturated steam and unloading the squeezed peat from to chambers, while simultaneously with the action of saturated steam the peat is subjected to centrifugation, and the pressure of the saturated steam is taken from 2 to 35 bar, mainly from 5 up to 15 20 bar.
In addition, before being loaded into the chambers, the peat is preheated with the heat of water extracted from the peat during centrifugation and subjected to mechanical dewatering. And after unloading the chambers, the peat is additionally dried by blowing it with air heated by the heat of water extracted from the peat during centrifugation.
The drawing shows an apparatus for carrying out the method.
Raw peat through the loading mechanism 1 enters the bunker 2 for preheating and then 30 is fed to the stage 3 of mechanical dewatering. At the same time, a belt or chamber filter press can be used for decontamination, and a centrifuge can be used. Pre-dewatering water is drained off via conduit 4 and, as a result of preheating, has a high temperature. The pre-dewatered peat is then fed to 40 one or more centrifuges 5, and saturated steam is fed into these centrifuges under a pressure of from 2 to 35 bar, preferably 5-20 bar. After centrifugation, the peat through the junction chamber 6 enters the additional dryer 7. The dried peat through the discharge mechanism 8 is fed for further use.

the lock chamber 9 is fed to the heat exchanger 10 and returned via conduit 11 to the bunker 2 for preheating. The heat exchanger 10 here serves to preheat the air, which is fed through line 12 to dryer 7, which provides the optimal heat balance for the whole process.
Pipeline 4 discharged. Preheated water from mechanical dewatering can be transferred via pipeline 13 to the peat loading section by means of a pump 14. This water can be mixed with peat to form a slurry, and hot water can be used as a transporting medium.
Within the framework of the technological process, it is possible to transfer the pairs in the chamber 6 through the pipe-guide line 15 to the bunker for preheating.

1. A method for dewatering peat, including loading and drying it in successively placed sealed chambers under the action of stationary steam and unloading pressed peat from chambers, characterized in that, in order to increase the degree of dewatering of peat, simultaneously with the action of the stationary couple, peat is subjected to centrifugation and the vapor pressure is 2–35 bar, preferably 5–20 bar.
