The invention is concerned with a blocking valve for liquids, which valve comprises a body (1), which forms a cylindrical valve housing (2) that is provided with flow openings (3), and a spindle (4) turnably mounted in the valve housing, the said spindle being turnable between a blocking position covering the flow opening in the valve housing and an open position liberating the flow opening, and the said spindle comprising a stationary body part (5) and a blocking part (6). In order to avoid the detrimental effect of inside pressure and pressure impacts in the valve on the seal (7), on one hand, and the effect of pressure and pressure impacts outside the valve on the blocking part (6), on the other hand, the procedure in the valve in accordance with the invention has been such that the body part (5) substantially surrounds the central blocking part (6), fitted stationary relative the body part, from the side of the valve housing (2), that the seal (7) for sealing the valve housing (2) relative the flow opening (3) is fitted between the stationary body part (5) and the stationary blocking part (6), and the pressure at the seal (7) can be adjusted in a way in itself known.

This invention relates to the field of pipe fittings.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the reliability of the valve by preventing the valve from being able to spin the sealing and sealing elements from the inlet pressure in the closed position of the valve.
Fig. D shows a shut-off valve for liquids, a section; figure 2 is a section aa in figure 1; Fig, 3 is a view of B in Fig.1 (part of the wedge pair).
The shut-off valve for liquids contains a housing 1, in the cylindrical inner cavity 2 of which inlet 3 and outlet 4 are made. The housing 1 houses a hollow rod 5 mounted rotatably with the aid of the handle 6. The rod 5 is integrally formed with an external guide element 7 in which the central locking element 8 is installed.
Between the outer guide element 7 and the central locking element, element 8, an annular sealing element 9 is placed, sealed relative to said elements 7 and 8 with sealing rings 10 and 11 and loaded with a cup-shaped spring 12 through a balancing ring 13.
A wedge pair is placed in the cavity of the rod 5, the first part 14 of which is located concentrically to the axis of rotation of the rod 5 and is equipped with an adjusting screw 15, and the second part 16 is installed perpendicular to the axis of the rod 5 with the possibility of collapsing in the hole 17 and is made with an annular flange 18 interacting with cup spring 12.
In the first part 14 of the wedge pair, there is a slot 19 with flat walls 20, and in the second 16 there is an axial hole 21. Through the indicated hole 2G and slot 19, a centering rod 22, rigidly fixed at one end on the locking element 8, is fitted with a free end a threaded nut 23 securing the locking element 8 to the brush 5.
By means of the centering rod 22, the locking element 8 can be located at the required radial distance from the rod 5. In addition, on the centering rod 22 in the region of the slot I9 there are flat guide surfaces that exclude it along

gate and, accordingly, the rotation of the locking element 8 around their axes.
Using a handle 6, rotate the rod 5 with the outer guide element 7 and the locking element 8 and block the inlet 3. At this time, the annular sealing element 9 placed between the guide 7 and the locking 8 elements is pressed against the housing 1 and sealed by the action of the belleville spring 12. inlet 3. The valve is closed.
The valve is opened by turning the handle 6 of the rod 5 in the opposite direction. In addition, the inlet 3 communicates with the cylindrical internal cavity 2 of the housing 1 and, accordingly, with any outlet 4.
The required force of pressing the ring sealing element 9 to the housing 1 is adjusted by means of an adjusting screw 15, which moves the first part I4 of the wedge pair downwards. Part 14, by acting with its wedge surface 24 on the wedge surface 25 of the second part 16 that responds to it, moves in the radial direction and presses the sealing with the necessary force. element 9 to the housing I through the spring 12.
The exclusion of the radial movement of the locking element 8 relative to the stem 5 prevents the shut-off 8 and the sealing 9 elements of the opening 1 from being pressed by the inlet pressure in the closed position of the valve.
