A main bearing supporting the output shaft is secured to a frame member made of a steel plate at a plurality of positions on both sides of the output shaft and the cylinder of the compression mechanism is secured to the frame member or to the main bearing at positions between the cylinder side securing position of the main bearing and the output shaft as viewed in a plan view.
