A means for degassing paper pulp stock, comprising an elongated horizontal cylindrical tank, a distribution pipe parallel to the tank and wherefrom departs a plurality of consecutive jet tubes for introducing pulp stock into the tank close to one end of the tank, an exit tube located close to the opposite end of the tank and towards which the pulp stock flows on the bottom of the tank, members to maintain the pulp stock level constant in the tank, an additional exit tube for returning to circulation the excess pulp stock that has entered the tank, and members for producing a vacuum in the tank. The distribution pipe and the flow therewithin are directed in opposition to the flow within the tank. The cross section area of the flow diminishes towards that end of the tank where the jet tubes are located, the diminishing flow cross section area extending at least over the region of one jet tube.

The mass loading level is kept constant in the reservoir by means of overflow 8. The jet tubes 3 are vertical. Their number can vary widely.
The device works as follows.
The aqueous suspension of paper pulp is fed into the distribution pipe 2, and the flow in it has a direction opposite to the direction of its movement in the tank. In the jet pipes 3, the stream is divided into separate streams.
From the leftmost jetting tube 3, the flow first of all reaches the bottom of reservoir I and is ahead of all other individual flows. From the extreme right of the jet tube 3, the flow comes out last. In this way, the difference in advance advance time is created between the individual streams which keeps them apart, separate streams. Using overflow 8, the mass level in the tank is kept constant. Through the conduit 5, the excess mass is recycled. As the mass strikes upward, strike the ceiling part of the tank and, due to the vacuum in the tank, the gas contained in it leaves. The mass is then sent to a collection container, preferably to the press box of the paper machine. The cross-sectional area of the flow is reduced at the end of the reservoir where the jet tubes are located. This is due to the fact that the bottom of the reservoir at the end where at least one jet tube is placed has a conical section 7. The inclination of the reservoir bottom is about 15 in vertical section. With such an inclination, the mass velocity is greater than 0.15 m / s, as a result of which the fibers are not deposited on the bottom of the tank, the possibility of changes in the mass concentration is eliminated and the reliability of the device increases.

DEVICE FOR REMOVING GASES FROM WATER SUSPENSION OF PAPER MASS, containing an elongated horizontal cylindrical degassing tank, a distribution pipe mounted parallel to the tank for orienting the suspension flow in the direction opposite to the direction of flow of the tank, equipped with several successive jet pipes for feeding the suspension into the tank with one end, a collection tank connected through the inlet pipe to the opposite end of the tank a, a pipeline for removing excess suspension from the tank and means for maintaining a constant level of suspension in the tank and creating a vacuum pressure in it and in the collecting tank, characterized in that, in order to increase reliability in operation by preventing changes in the concentration of the mass, the bottom of the tank the end, where at least one jet tube is located, has a conical section.
