专利摘要:
Process for reducing the caking and dusting tendencies of urea granules by treating the granules with 0.1-0.3 wt.% of a polyalkylene glycol having a molecular weight of approx. 200 to approx 600. Preferably the polyalkylene glycols used have been formed from monomers with 2-5 C atoms.

This invention relates to a technology of mineral fertilizers and can be used in the preparation of granulated urea.
The proposed method consists in the treatment of granules of 0.1-0.3 masD polypropylene glycol of the general formula
)
n OSH2-is-it
sn,
where n,
having a molecular weight of 200600.
It is preferable to use a propylene glycol floor having a molecular weight of 300-400. Mixtures of polyethylene glycols and propylene glycol can also be used. Satisfactory results are also obtained using copolymers of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol 5 having a molecular weight of 200-600. Under normal conditions, propylene glycols with a molecular weight of 200-600 are non-viscous liquids that can be applied to the beads without the use of solvents, for example, by mixing the granules with polypropylene glycol or by spraying.
The coating of the granules can be carried out either at room temperature or at an elevated temperature, for example, pr 20-75 C. The coating can be carried out directly. After granulation, after cooling the granules, and also after storing the granules in warehouses for some time, for example, shortly before loading.
The coating of the granules before transportation may be preferable to the application of the coating immediately after granulation. In the first case, extraneous products are not introduced into the process along with the product that is being recycled. As a consequence, it is possible to switch the urea production process for use as a fertilizer to the urea production process for technical purposes.
Example 1. Urea granules, having an average diameter of D 2 mm + + 4 mm, obtained by spraying urea melt in the air, practice 162
Tically, water-free, containing, after cooling, moisture in an amount of 0.1.2%, is placed without additional treatment in boxes for storage at a natural pressure of 1 kgf / cm. After storage for 40 days, the susceptibility of the granules to caking is 20%. Under the tendency to caking is understood
the number of granules (in percent,
remaining in the form of lumps after dropping them from a height of about 60 cm. After transportation, these granules show a tendency to drink, corresponding to 250 mg / kg. The propensity to drink is determined by losing 1 kg of the sample in the fluidized state B for half an hour and determining the amount of dust generated in the storage filter.
PRI mme R 2. Urea granules, having dimensions and properties, correspond to the process described in Example 1,
treat 0.3 wt.% polypropylene 1-colic having a molecular weight of 400 (W1H-400). After coating, PPG-400 coated granules show no tendency to caking. The tendency to dusting is reduced to less than 50 mg / kg.
Example 3. Samples of urea granules having a tendency to be uncoated
scaling, corresponding to 20%, and a tendency to dusting, corresponding to 250 mg / kg, are treated with PPG-400 in co-ly of O ,, 0.2 and 0.3 wt.%. Regardless of the amount of agent for
the coating, the tendency of granules to caking after the treatment of P1H-400 decreases to 0. The tendency to dusting decreases to a value less than 50 mg / kg.
The result of using polypropylene glycols having a different molecular weight in the range of 200-600 in caking and dusting is illustrated by the data given
in tabl.
The results of the experiments show that the susceptibility to caking increases slightly with increasing molecular weight and the amount of agent for the coating.
Use as an agent for coating polypropylene glycols with a molecular weight of 200-600
predominantly compared with the use of higher molecular weight products. Due to the lower viscosity of polypropylene glycols with a molecular weight of 200-600, these products are easier to pump and evenly spray onto the surface of the granules, and the resulting granules are less sticky and have a flowability better than coated granules.

tiem from more high molecular weight products. Low molecular weight polypropylene glycol is readily soluble in water, unlike high molecular weight 5 liters of products that can only be used after heating. In addition, low molecular weight polypropylene glycols are cheaper than products with a higher 10 molecular weight.
