The invention relates to magnetic recording, namely, devices for magnetic recording-reproducing a television signal. A device for magnetic recording-reproducing a television signal is known, comprising a magnetic head mounted rotatably with respect to a movable magnetic tape. The known device, with the relative simplicity of its design, allows one to secure a magnetic recording-reproduction of a television signal of 1 J. The disadvantage of this device is the difficulty in processing the result of reproducing a television signal recorded on a magnetic tape. Closest to the invention is a magnetic recording / reproducing device for a television signal containing a magnetic head rigidly fixed on a guide drum mounted for rotation inside a movable magnetic tape covering it along a helical line and mounted with the possibility of recording recording lines on a magnetic tape located at an acute angle to the edge of the tape. This device allows the relative simplicity of processing the reproduction result of a television signal recorded on a magnetic tape 2. A disadvantage of the known device is the impossibility of reducing the dimensions of the guide drum due to the need to preserve the possibility of exchanging the waveforms. This is due to the fact that the diameter of the front drum and the angle of its coverage along the helical, magnetic tape lines must strictly correspond to the length of the recording line and the sharp angle between the line and the edge of the magnetic tape. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the size of the device while maintaining the ability to exchange waveforms.
