    A sill 1 intended for a sliding door 7, which is comprised of a number of radially interconnected pivotally mounted and in guide grooves 2, 3 door leaf elements 8, 9, is formed according to the present invention by a frame plate 4 which is provided in pairs from the middle area 5 of intended door opening 6 forming elevation 10 in pairs downwards slightly sloping portions 11, 12. On the underside 13 of said frame plate 4 is attached a longitudinal and transverse stiffening 14, said guide grooves 2, 3, intended for receiving lower door leaf storage. / guide 15, extends through said frame plate 4 along the area of the elevation 10.     The stiffener 14 arranged in the inner space 16 of the sill is formed by a longitudinal profile or homogeneous metal strip 19 and with transverse ribs 20, 21 which extend in opposite directions 22, 23 in groups at mutual distances A, B, C from each other. Preferably, the said transverse ends 22, 23 have the ribs 20, 21 having a shape which corresponds to the intended inclination of the sloping portions 24, 25 and the floor of the sill, and terminating at a distance from its resp. side 26, 27.
    Arranged in the inner space 16 of the sill is preferably arranged a heater (not shown) which is intended to heat at least the outwardly facing portions 25 of the sill 1 and through-going recesses 28 of resp. ribs 21 years arranged in a row to form a conduit.
    Finally, recesses 29 in the corners of the threshold are arranged to be connected to door frames 30, 31.
    The nature and function of the threshold should have been clear from what has been described above and what is shown in the drawings, but the invention is of course not limited to the embodiment described above and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, in particular as regards the nature of the various parts, or by the use of equivalent techniques, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the claims.
