FIELD CUTTING PROCEDURE AND PLANT FOR CARRYING OUT THE PROCEDURE This invention relates to a wood chipping drive method according to the preamble of claim 1.
Today, wood chippers are operated directly with the help of an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine can be, for example, a tractor's diesel engine, whereby the chipper is driven through a socket on the tractor by means of a hinge shaft. The wood chipper can also be driven with its own diesel engine, but the wood chipper is also driven directly by the transmission of a diesel engine, electric motor or mechanical power line. A disadvantage of the current process described above is that the internal combustion engine has a high speed. The speed is usually maximum during chipping. A further disadvantage is that, when the chipper is fed a large amount of thread or a thick tad in relation to the chipper's properties, the large amount of chipping causes the combustion engine speed to decrease and the chipping effect to decrease at the same time and the internal combustion engine to be significantly loaded. Alternatively, the speed of the internal combustion engine must be as & for the time that the chipping of the large amount of tram takes, whereby the internal combustion engine is significantly loaded.
An object of the invention is to provide a drive method for wood chipping and a plant which, through its use, makes it possible to keep the speed of the internal combustion engine constant regardless of the amount of wood chipped. A further caveat is that the chipping effect is constant regardless of the amount of wood chipped. A further object is that no mechanical power line needs to be used, whereby the various units can be placed freely.
The above-mentioned disadvantages can be eliminated and the above-mentioned drawbacks can be achieved by means of the drive method for wood chipping and the plant according to the invention which is characterized by what is defined in the pitched part of claim 1 and in the pitched part of the first device claim. The preferred embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
As the most important advantages of the invention it can be mentioned that the speed of the internal combustion engine can be kept constant regardless of the amount of wood that is chipped because an electric storage means provides the necessary additional force when chopping a large amount of wood, and a torque converter helps to keep the chipping effect constant. A further advantage is that the chipping effect of the wood chipper due to the electric storage means 2 and / or the torque converter is constant independent of the amount of wood chipped. A further advantage is that the load on the internal combustion engine is small because the speed can be kept constant. It can be installed to be Mom's internal combustion engine's optimal speed range, whereby industry consumption is at a minimum in relation to the internal combustion engine's torque, ie. the efficiency of the internal combustion engine can be installed at sift best value. The life of the internal combustion engine increases significantly. A further advantage of the invention is that the rotational speed of the wood chipper can be installed constantly, the wood chipping effect being constant regardless of the amount of wood that is fed or of its type. Since the rotational speed of the chipper's rotor or flange is constant, the cutting speed of the knives which cut the tract is also constant, the knives being worn at least when the rotational speed of the chipper is installed according to the optimal cutting speed of the knives. The chipper's knives do not overheat. The knives also do not collect trabeck, for example, because the cutting speed of the knives does not become law. The wood chipper can be left at the wood chipping site, and the drive machine, which for example drives a tractor, can be used for some other purpose. It is clear that with the help of the invented drive procedure for wood chipping, large energy savings and large financial savings are achieved when chipping wood.
The invention is described in more detail in the following with reference to the accompanying figure.
Figure 1 is a schematic view of a plant which applies the drive method for chipping according to the invention.
The figure shows an internal combustion engine 1, an electricity production system 2 with a generator 2a, an electricity storage means 2b and a frequency converter 2c. The frequency converter 2c may be a generator frequency converter 2ca and / or an electric motor frequency converter 2cb. The figure also shows an electric motor 3, a torque converter 4, a wood chipper 5 and a power line 6.
The invention relates to a drive method for chipping which is used for chopping wood, which chipping is driven by one or more internal combustion engines 1.
As the figures show, it has now been invented that an internal combustion engine 1 drives one or more electricity production systems 2, the electricity production system 2 drives one or more electric motors 3, which electric motor 3 drives a chipper 5. The electricity production system 2 can be an edge, for example a tractor shaft. electricity generation systems that are currently used, for example, during power outages. The internal combustion engine 1 drives one or more generators 2a in the electricity production system 2, and the electric power generated by the generator 2a drives the electric motor 3. The electricity production system 2 is a direct current system, and the one generator or the several generators 2a and the one electric motor or the multiple electric motors 3 are permamagnet machines .
In the electricity production system 2 according to the invented drive method for chipping, there is one or more electricity storage means 2b. The storage means is preferably an edge DC battery or a high power capacitor, it is also possible to use both of them in one and the same system. The electric storage means 2b provides electric power to the electric motor 3 which drives the wood chipper 5 when the amount of wood chipped is large, i.e. The electric storage means 2b functions as a driving equalizer for the chipper 5, whereby the internal combustion engine 1 can have a constant speed. Furthermore, the electricity production system 2 charges the electricity storage means 2b or the electricity storage means 2b when no wires are fed to the chipper 5. Figure 1 shows a location / connection for the electricity storage means 2b, but its location / connection may be different to that shown in figure 1.
According to the invention, the electric motor 3 drives the chipper 5 by means of one or more torque converters 4. The torque converter 4 can be a known planetary gear which, for example, has a triple transmission, whereby the diesel engine can run at the rotational speed which is most advantageous. The torque converter 4 reduces the rotational speed from the electric motor 3, for example, to one third, whereby the rotational speed of the wood chipper 5 is also reduced to one third, but the rotational torque (rotational force) also triples, which means that the wood chipping 5 has a constant cutting effect its type. If a large amount of chipping is fed to the chipper 5 for chipping, the torque converter 4 prevents a reduction in the rotational speed of the chipper 5.
According to the invention, the electricity generation system 2 comprises one or more frequency converters 2c. The frequency converter 2c (an inverter) hails the torque of the electric motor 3 constantly and the rotational speeds are steplessly constant. With the aid of the frequency converter 2c, the voltage can be increased, for example to a direct current of 750 volts, whereby the power lines 6 can be thin because the so-called the electric waste is small.
According to an invented design solution, one or more generator frequency converters 2ca are located after the generator 2a or connected / connected to the generator 2a. According to an invented design solution, one or more electric motor frequency converters 2cb are located in front of the electric motor 3 or connected / connected to the electric motor 3.
The invented chipping drive method operates so that the internal combustion engine 15 drives the generator 2a which produces electric power, and that the voltage of the electric power generated by the generator 2a by means of the generator frequency converter 2ca is raised, for example, to a direct current of 750 volts led to the electric storage means 2b and the electric motor frequency converter 2cb from which the electric power is passed on to the electric motor 3, and that the electric motor 3 drives the chipper 5 by means of the torque converter 4. The invented plant comprises one or more internal combustion engines 1, one or more electricity production systems 2, one or more electric motors 3, one or more torque converter 4 to drive a wood chipper 5.
The plants for the invented drive method for chipping can preferably be carried out using an assembly of known devices. One skilled in the art will appreciate that the invention is not merely limited to the above-mentioned alternatives, but many modifications are possible within the scope of the idea of the invention as defined in the appended claims. As a modification alternative to the invention, it can be mentioned that electric power can be used to drive or replace the internal combustion engine to drive the electricity production system.
