专利说明:

[5] An international standard for how a height-adjustable network is to be arranged has not yet been adopted.
[6] The present invention relates to a net with a height-adjustable net useful for primarily a tennis court. Nevertheless, the invention can be used in playing fields in other ball sports.
[7] According to one aspect of the invention, there is provided a device having features according to the device specified in claim 1.
[8] Further embodiments of the invention are presented in the dependent claims.
[9] The net according to the invention consists of a lower fixed net part and an upper net part which is arranged to be raised and lowered. The lower net part is attached at its two short sides to a lower part of post parts which are fixed to the sides of the playing field. The post parts, to which the lower net part is attached, are fixed post parts positioned on the playing field according to the rules of the game. The upper net part is double folded along a line along its longitudinal direction, whereby a fold is formed along said line. When said fold of the upper net part is tensioned freely along the fold, a hanging part of this upper net part, here called net parts, is shown on either side of the fold. In cross section, the upper net part will thus be designed as an upside-down V, where the fold of the upper net part corresponds to the tip of the letter V and the two hanging parts correspond to the stacks of the upside-down letter V.
[10] According to one aspect of the invention, the upper mesh part is attached at its short ends to telescopic, in the fixed post parts, running cylinders. These cylinders can also be called upper post parts displaceable axially in relation to the fixed post parts. The upper mesh part is attached to the cylinders in such a way that the fold will be located in the plane of the lower mesh part and over the upper longitudinal edge of the lower mesh part.
[12] Thus, by the described arrangement, the upper net part can run in height and on both sides of the lower net part. The upper mesh portion will further cover the upper longitudinal edge of the lower mesh portion on both sides thereof. This arrangement of the interaction of the two net parts means that balls which are hit and stopped by the net cannot fall down between the two net parts.
[13] A, usually white, band is folded over the fold of the upper net part and is sewn or otherwise attached on both sides of the fold, a channel being formed just below the fold line of the band. In this channel runs an upper wire or equivalent. Lower wires, or the like, are similarly arranged at the lower longitudinal edges of both hanging net parts. The upper wire is attached to the upper attachment points of the movable cylinders, while the lower wires are attached to lower attachment points of the cylindrical movable along the lower post parts. The lower attachment points are preferably arranged at a horizontal distance from each other to keep the pending network parties. By displacing the movable cylinder vertically along the fixed post parts, the upper net part can thereby be raised or lowered more or less down over the lower net part and with at least the lower parts of its net parts on both sides cover the lower net part along at least its upper part. Since the band folded over the upper longitudinal edge of the upper mesh portion compresses it along the portion covered by the band, a cross section of the upper mesh portion will have a cross section similar to a tuning fork for tuning musical instruments.
[14] A wire running along the net is arranged inside the folds of the upper net part and is arranged at its respective ends at an upper point of the upper post part, which is axially displaceable in height relative to the fixed post part,
[15] Lower wires are arranged to run along the lower longitudinal edges of the net parts hanging from the fold, the respective ends of said wires being fixed at a lower point of the upper post part.
[16] The ends of the lower wires at a short side of the hanging net parts are fixed at said upper post part at attachment points which are separated from each other and located on each side of a plane through the lower fixed net.
[17] In the following, a number of embodiments of the invention are described with reference to the accompanying drawings. The drawings show only schematically the principle of the device and do not claim to show to any scale any proportions between different elements thereof.
[18] Fixed net part 2 and an upper net part 3 can be displaced in its entirety in height.
[19] The two net parts 2 and 3 are at their respective short ends clamped and arranged between posts 4 positioned according to the rules that apply to the game where the net 1 is used, usually at the long sides of a game board. The posts 4 are divided into a fixed post part 5 and a cylinder 6 which can be run along it at the upper part of the post part 5. In the example shown, the cylinder 6 can run outside of the fixed post part 5. However, there is nothing to prevent the cylinder 6 from running inside it. fix the post part 5 in an alternative embodiment. 10 l5 20 25 30
[20] As shown in figure 2, the lower net part 2 is fixed in the lower part of the fixed post part 5. Along the upper part of the fixed post part 5, the cylinder 6 can run and be adjusted to the desired height by means of an elevator device (not shown). Elevator devices are known and are not described here. The fixing of the fixed net to the post parts 5 takes place in the traditional way by, for example, wires which are stretched along the upper and lower longitudinal edges of the lower net part 2 and where the ends of the wires are fixed at each end to the post parts 5. The lower net part 5 is stretched it is flat and with its lower longitudinal edge towards or near the ground.
[21] The upper net part 3 is double folded in length and thereby has a fold 7, whereby two hanging net parts 8 and 9, respectively, are arranged arranged to hang down over and cover an upper part of the lower net part 2 on either side thereof. Above the fold 7 and folded down on both sides of the upper longitudinal edge of the upper net part 3 formed along the fold 7, a band 10 is sewn or applied in another way. The band 10 encloses a channel thus formed, into which an upper wire 11 is inserted. By means of this wire 11, the upper longitudinal edge of the upper net part can be clamped between the posts 4 by clamping both ends of the wires into and fixing them at the upper part of the cylinders 6. Correspondingly, a lower wire 12 is inserted into a lower longitudinal edge in each of the hanging net parts 8, 9 of the upper net part 3. These lower wires 12 are fixed to a lower part of the cylinder 6 at a certain distance from each other so that the hanging net parts 8, 9 are caused to appear slightly separated from each other in order thereby to be able to enclose at their lower parts an upper part of the lower net part 2, which is clearly shown in figure 2.
[22] A post 4, to which the net 1 is stretched, is shown in figure 3. The upper part of the picture is illustrated in a plan view from above how the net 1 is fixed to the post 4. The post 4 is surrounded by a circle 13 which is shown in magnification in the lower part of the figure. Here it appears that the lower post part 5 consists of a profile, for example made of some metal and substantially cylindrical. Furthermore, at least in its upper part, the post part 5 is slotted so that the upper wire 11 of the upper net part 3 can be displaced in height, when the total height of the net 1 above the ground is to be adjusted.
[23] The wires 12 which run along the lower longitudinal edges of the two net parts 8, 9 of the upper net part 3 are arranged at grooves in the cylinder 6 at an edge facing the net 1.
[24] Arrangement for hoisting the cylinder 6 in relation to the post part 5 is not shown.
[25] The cylinder 6 which is telescopically displaceable in the fixed post 4 may be constituted by a tube, a post, a rod, a casing or any other rigid profile and may be arranged to move along the fixed post either internally or externally thereon. . A cylinder must also be understood to mean that it does not have to be circular in its cross section. The cross section of a cylinder can be described by an arbitrary closed curve, of course with the exception of the cross sections of the cylinder which contain a slot where a wire must be able to run freely when raising or lowering the total net height.
[26] The term wire can be understood to mean any type of tensionable wire-like device such as the posts (4) by means of such a wire. Thus, for example, a chain, rope, wire, wire spring and the like could be used as equivalents to wires.
