Summary of the invention and its advantages.
According to the invention, the above-mentioned problem is solved by dividing the drying arch into two arch segments, the two arch segments being mounted at opposite sides of the installation site, on each operating unit, which operating units are arranged at the base surface and comprise means for the control unit with its arc segment along its side of the stand, partly means for tilting the arc segment mounted at the control unit at each side of the stand and partly means for displacing the arc segment mounted at each control unit outwards and inwards relative to the stand and the opposite side thereof .
With a device according to the invention, two different surfaces can be dried simultaneously.
Furthermore, through the fl visible setting options with regard to positioning and inclination / angling of the arc segments, optimal distances can be selected for the current type of paint or varnish and the desired drying time as well as drying temperature. The devices can be installed in existing production facilities on small areas. Due to the low location of the control units, most service work can be performed at floor level and the risk of falling dust and dirt is minimized.
In a variant of the invention, the arc segments each comprise a first portion mounted closest to each operating unit which extends with a longitudinal direction radially from a horizontally arranged first axis of the operating unit and a second portion which extends with its longitudinal direction over the installation site, parallel to the first shaft. A device according to this variant is very functional also from a manufacturing point of view, e.g. when installing drying elements etc.
The above variant can suitably be supplemented with an intermediate portion which is located between the first and second portions and which at its ends joins the first and second portions, respectively, extending therebetween.
With a device according to the invention, the drying of a vehicle with lack your paint repairs can thus be performed more efficiently, since the two-part frame enables drying of two places simultaneously and with great flexibility in terms of drying distance, power and drying angle.
In a further variant of the invention, the arc segments comprise on their surface facing the installation site drying elements with a radiation sector, the drying elements being directed so that their radiation sectors converge. In combination with the adjustability of the arc segments, this gives a very good homogeneity in the thermal irradiation of the drying surface.
Brief description of drawings.
The invention will be described and explained in more detail below in connection with an exemplary embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows a device according to the invention seen in perspective with the arc segments opposite each other, Fig. 2 shows the device in Fig. 1 according to the invention from a another perspective with the arch segments set relative to each other and the floor at different angles and Fig. 3 shows a free end of one of the arch segments.
Description of embodiments.
In the following, a drying plant will be described in which a device according to the invention is included. Figure 1 shows that the device for drying paint or varnish according to the invention comprises two arc segments 1, 2 which are arranged at a place for setting up or hanging the object having a lacquer layer to be dried.
The arc segments 1 and 2 in turn comprise three arc portions, a first and a second arc portion 3, 4 and 5, 6, respectively, and a third arc portion existing between them, an intermediate portion 7, 8. In each arc segment 1, 2, the first and the second the arcuate portions have a substantially straight shape, and the direction of the first and second arcuate portions forms a substantially right angle with each other. The third arcuate portion, the intermediate portion 7, 8, which connects opposite ends of the first and second arcuate portions, also has a straight shape and forms an approximately 45-degree angle with the two other arcuate portions.
The first arcuate portions 3, 4 are mounted at their respective ends of the arcuate portion at their respective shafts 12, 13 of each of two operating units 9, 10.
The operating units 9. 10 are arranged at a height or substantially at a height with a floor 11 of the installation site by means of their respective pairs of guides 14, 15 so that the operating units can move individually along the floor, substantially in parallel paths with each other and with the floor 11, which is essentially flat.
The parking space is of course dimensioned for the purpose of the plant with respect to the size of the objects to be treated, in this case a schematically shown car 16. The arch segments 1, 2 extend from their respective control unit upwards and in over the floor 11 when the plant is open for "charging" ”With the (or in some cases those) objects whose lacquer layers are to be dried.
The shafts 12 and 13 of the operating units 9, 10 are rotatably and slidably arranged so that the arch segments 1, 2 can be inclined at different angles relative to the floor, the arch segments 1, 2 being angled so as to describe a partial surface of an approximate, truncated sphere , and partly displaced towards or from a car 16, in relation to its side.
For this purpose, the control units 9, 10 comprise motors (not shown), which are arranged to perform rotational and displacement movements of the respective shaft 12, 13 as well as rolling or sliding for moving the control units 9, 10 along the respective guides 14, 15. The movements are illustrated in Fig. 1 with arrows. The motors are advantageously electric and are controlled by a central process unit (CPU).
The process unit / CPU can be controlled partly manually and partly by a computer in terms of positioning relative to the surface to be dried. In this case, the process unit can be loaded and controlled by data from e.g. non-contact distance and surface temperature meters as well as meters that read the contour of the object to be dried.
Figure 2 shows how the arch segments 1 and 2 have been operated to dry both a rear surface and a surface on the roof of the car 16 in Figure 1 by turning the axles 13 and 12 (obscured), which gives an inclination of the arch segments 1, 2.
The arch segments are thus rotatable by means of the shafts 12, 13 at least 1800, and by moving along the guides 14, 15, both the front, roof and rear end of the car 16 can thus be heat irradiated depending on where its paint has been repaired.
The arc segments 1, 2 comprise both surfaces on their inwardly facing arc a plurality of drying elements, lamps 17 which, upon activation, emit ultraviolet light in a respective lobe. The lamps can be individually controlled via electronics with regard to radiated power, at least in groups, so that as far as possible only the paint on the surface that is freshly painted and that is to be dried is heated by radiation.
Figure 3 shows, in a view from the free end of a second arc portion 5 of an arc segment 1, how the underside 18 is arched so that the lamps 17 have an almost radial spread along the surface, which in turn gives a distributed angle of the nodes of the lamps. The distributed, radial angle can be used so that the distance and the total strength of your lamps can be selected by angling the arc segment so that optimal drying effect is achieved in relation to the paint type, surface substrate and available time. The side of the arc segments on which the drying elements are placed is slightly arched and may have a radiation-reflecting surface.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described above and shown in the drawings. Eg. the device can be arranged with additional mechanisms so that the arc segments 1, 2 are radially displaceable relative to the shafts 12, 13 so that they become longer. The guides can consist of linear motors or be sliding guides.
Varnishes include varnishes and colors of all kinds, solid and metallic, clearcoats with or without pigments and based on water or other solvents. The arch segments can also be arranged to some extent overlapping so that you can choose which is to be brought to illuminate a repaired surface at the middle part of the roof, as long as they do not physically come into contact with each other.
The installation site is of course not included in the invention but is included in the description to illustrate how the two arc segments with their operating units were used in combination to be able to dry all surfaces on an object except one underside. The arc segments are shown here as identical mirror images of each other but do not have to have the same dimensions. The third arcuate portions may also have the shape of a quarter arc of a circle which connects in line with the extent of the first and second arcuate portions, respectively, which in themselves may also have the shape of a circular arc. The directions are horizontal, radial, linear and parallel, etc. shall in this description be interpreted so that they also include in the context insignificant deviations from these concepts. You can also use hydraulic technology in the control units.
