专利说明:

In connection with spills of environmentally hazardous liquids and the like, there are also problems with the environmentally hazardous liquid flowing down into different types of wells, such as stormwater wells and the like. Environmentally hazardous liquids can cause major problems if they enter the sewage system via wells and on to stormwater systems, treatment plants and the like. There is therefore a need for openings to wells and the like to be easily sealed so that spills of environmentally hazardous liquids are easily prevented from ending up in the well. OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT INVENTION The main object of the present invention is to provide a substantially improved system for collecting liquid or the like from various types of surfaces. Another object of the present invention is to create a system which is less labor intensive than previously known systems. It is a further object of the present invention to create a system which contributes to fewer work injuries occurring when absorbing liquid from surfaces.
Brief Description of the Figures Referred to in the following sections In the following detailed description of the present invention, reference and references to the following figures will be made. These are briefly described in the following list of figures. The embodiments exemplified in the above are not limiting of the scope of protection of the present patent application. Note that the fi gures are schematic and that details can thus be omitted in these.
Figure 1 shows the present invention seen from the side.
Figure 2 shows the collecting device seen from the side.
Figure 3 shows the collecting device seen from above.
Figures 4A and 4B show a liquid collection device.
Detailed Description of the Invention Referring to the gurus, there is shown a system 1 for transferring and collecting liquids from at least one surface 2 such as a floor, a parking lot, a street, a road or the like, in accordance with the present patent application. The system can be used for collecting a variety of different types of liquids, but can be used to advantage for collecting environmentally hazardous liquids and the like.
The system 1 comprises at least one liquid collecting device 3 and at least one liquid conveying device 4. In the exemplary embodiment, the liquid collecting device 3 comprises at least one liquid collecting means 5 such as preferably a vessel 6 which is intended to be temporarily connected with at least one connecting device 7 to e.g. a well 9 or the like.
The vessel 6 consists, in the exemplary embodiment shown in the gurus, of a cylindrical body 10 which in its lower end 11 is provided with at least one bottom 12. In alternative embodiments it is conceivable that the vessel 6 has a cross-section suitable for the purpose other than a round one. cross section. In alternative embodiments, it is therefore conceivable that the cross section of the vessel is square or rectangular. It is further conceivable that the cross-section of the vessel is triangular, pentagonal, hexagonal or has a cross-section with fl your edges other than six.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in the gurus, the vessel 6 comprises in its upper end 13 an end 14, a disc, a ring or the like.
The connection device 7, according to the present invention, has two different functions.
The first function is to connect the vessel 6 to the opening 8 of the well 9. The second function is that the connecting device forms a closure of the opening 8 of the well 9 by the connecting device replacing the permanent grid, lid or the like. The closure of the well 8 opening 8 of the well 9 should preferably be complete or substantially complete.
The size and shape of the connection device (adapter) 7 may vary within the scope of the present patent application. In the embodiment shown, the connecting device 7 has the shape of a washer 15 with a hole (opening) 16 for the vessel 6. The washer 15 preferably has a square or round outer shape (edge). In alternative embodiments, it is conceivable that the washer 15 has a different external shape suitable for the purpose. It is thus conceivable that the tray 15 has a rectangular shape, round shape (oval, etc.) or angular shape such as triangular, pentagonal, hexagonal, sickle-shaped, octagonal or other polygonal shape. It is further conceivable that the outer shape of the tray 15 is oval or of a different learning-obligatory shape for the purpose.
In the embodiment of the washer 15 shown in the figures, it comprises at least one end 17 adjacent to the underside of the washer 15 at the opening 16 in the washer 15. In this construction the diameter of the hole 16 is larger than the diameter of the hole in the end 17. Furthermore, the hole (opening) 16 in the end 17 of the tray 15 has a diameter which is larger than the diameter of the vessel 6.
The washer (connecting device) 15 may comprise at least one sealing layer in the connecting surface to the vessel 6. It is further conceivable that the washer 15 comprises at least one sealing layer at the abutment surfaces against the well.
At least one liquid flowing device 4 is intended to be connected to the liquid collecting means 5. The liquid flowing device 4 may be of different types of liquid flowing device 4. For example, the liquid flowing device 4 may be a pump 18 as shown in Figure 1. The liquid flowing device 4 may also be any type of suction device 19 such as the exemplary device shown in Figure 4.
In embodiments where the liquid supplying device is constituted by a pump, the pump may be constituted by any previously known pump which is suitable for the purpose. The choice of pump is not limiting to the inventive concept of the present patent application. For example, the pump may be any previously known type of fully or partially submersible pump or the like.
The pump can be connected to the vessel in a variety of ways. For example, the pump may be suspended in a pipe, rod, strut or arm transverse device which is placed across the hole on the vessel. In alternative embodiments, it is conceivable for the pump to be connected to the vessel with one or more of its brackets.
Referring to Figures 4A and 4B, a suction device 19 is shown which is connected to a variant of a liquid collecting device 20. The liquid collecting device 20 is in use intended to be placed adjacent to the liquid collecting device 3. In the exemplary embodiment, the liquid collecting device 20 is of a V-shaped structure which comprises at least a first part 21 and at least a second part 22 which at their one ends are hingedly connected to each other. The liquid collecting device 20 also comprises at least one bracket 23 for the suction device 19. The bracket 23 preferably also constitutes a locking means with which the first part 21 and the second part 22 are temporarily locked relative to each other.
The mouth at the position of the suction member is arranged in height adjustably. It is further conceivable that different types of additive sealing means, or liquid controlling, means are connected to the liquid collecting device. The sealing member is intended to seal between the liquid collecting device 20 and the surface 2.
In the detailed description of the present invention, construction details and sub-procedures may be omitted which will be apparent to a person skilled in the art to which the device relates. Such obvious construction details and sub-procedures are included to the extent required to obtain a satisfactory function for the present device. Although some preferred embodiments have been shown in more detail, variations and modifications of the device may be apparent to those skilled in the art to which this invention relates. All such modifications and variations are considered to fall within the scope of the appended claims. In alternative embodiments, it is conceivable that the system comprises a sieve additive (not shown in figures) which can be lowered into the vessel. It is further conceivable that the liquid collecting device 20 is used separately without the collecting means 3.
Advantages of the invention The present invention achieves a number of advantages. The most obvious is that a more efficient system for collecting liquid from surfaces is achieved. A further advantage of the present invention is that it prevents the spread of environmentally hazardous liquids via stormwater and sewage systems. A further advantage of the present invention is that the present invention can be connected to permanent well openings located on different surfaces.
