![]() Attaching a side plate
专利摘要:
A device for attaching a side plate to a radiator comprises a panel and a single-fold convector plate. The side plate bridges a distance between the front of the panel and the back of the convector plate at the end ends of the radiator. A positioning means is arranged between a section of the convector plate and an adjacent edge of the side plate. In a preferred embodiment, the positioning means has a spacer portion having a thickness corresponding to a minimum desired distance between the edge of the side plate and the convector plate. The positioning means also has an engaging portion, which comprises a recess for a section of the convector plate. 专利说明:
The rear edge can jeopardize the connections with the pipelines and the upper grille, respectively. This leads at least to aesthetic defects and possibly to an undesirable access to the interior of the radiator. A side plate that has come loose or disturbed from its position can also give rise to noise during vibrations. In order to counteract the above problems, attempts have been made to stabilize the side plate by arranging recesses for engagement with a section of the convector plate on the part of the back plate facing the inside of the radiator. Such a recess can be welded or bent, but has its disadvantages. An additional complicated work step is introduced in the manufacture of the radiator and its side plates, and this type of recess can be material-intensive, as the back of the side plate may need to be extended so that it reaches a suitable portion of the convector plate, and finally a fairly high precision is required in the manufacture. of the recess of the side plate so that it will be possible to connect this to the back of the convector plate. TROUBLESHOOTING It is thus the task of the invention to provide an alternative attachment for stabilizing the rear edge of the side plate. This prevents the problems outlined above in the event of a lack of stability. TROUBLESHOOTING The objective underlying the invention is achieved if the device initially indicated is characterized in that a positioning means is arranged between a section of the convector plate and an adjacent edge of the side plate. Additional advantages are obtained if the device is additionally characterized according to one or more of claims 2-8. COMPILATION OF DRAWING FIGURES 10 15 20 25 30 The invention will now be described on the basis of the accompanying drawings. These show: fi g l a straight front view of a radiator with a device according to the invention; 2 g 2 is a perspective view of the inside of a side plate according to the invention; fi g 3 a straight rear view of the radiator atom according to fi g 1 when mounting the side plate according to fi g 2; 4 g 4 a view corresponding to that in fi g 3 where the mounting of the side plate is completed; 5 g 5 a perspective view obliquely from below of an upper corner portion on the back of the radiator; and fi g 6 is a perspective view of a positioning member included in the invention. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT I fi g l shows a radiator 1, which comprises a radiator panel 2 with an upper grid 3 and two side plates 4. The radiator 1 is in a position of use mounted next to a wall, so that the side shown in fi g l faces outwards, and its rear side facing the wall. Extending through the side plates 4 are upper pipe connections Sa and lower pipe connections 5b. In fi g 1 the back of the radiator 1 is not visible, which, however, has a corrugated vector plate 6 (see fi g 3). In fi g 2, the side plate is shown in a perspective obliquely from above and with the side normally facing the radiator facing the viewer. The side plate 4 has an end portion 7, which in mounted position is substantially transverse to the main distribution plane of the radiator 1. The end portion 7 has upper and lower pipe penetrations 8a and 8b, respectively. At the upper pipe bushing 8a there is an upper edge portion 9, which is provided with slits 10, which are used in an attachment of a grid 3 lying on top of the radiator 1. The side plate 4 of the side plate 4 abuts and encloses in the preferred embodiment the side edge of the radiator panel 2. The rear portion of the side plate 4, in the mounted position, comprises a back piece 12, which is substantially transverse to the end portion 7. The extent of the end portion 7 is such that in the preferred embodiment it extends to an outermost elevation 15 on the convector plate 6, which is visible 3, 4 and 5. The free edge of the back piece 12 is bent substantially transversely to the back piece 12, so that it forms a back edge 13. The back edge 13 thus becomes approximately parallel to the end portion 7 of the side plate 4. The back edge 13 is provided with two shallow recess 14. In fi g 3, the radiator 1 is shown in a view straight from behind, so that the surface facing the wall is visible. Thus, the convector plate 6, which is arranged on the back of the radiator panel 2, is visible. The convector plate 6 is provided with a series of ridges 15, which extend substantially vertically in the normal position of use of the radiator, i.e. substantially parallel to the two short sides of the radiator panel. The convector plate 6 has been provided with recesses 16 in the corner thereof, so that the convector plate 6 has a shorter extension in height and so that space is given to the pipe connections 5a, 5b. Fig. 3 shows a partially mounted side plate 4, which has been moved on, with its opening 8b on the pipe connection 5b and then pivoted in the direction of the radiator and the upper pipe connection Sa, so that it can be inserted into the pipe bushing 8a at the side plate. 4 upper end. In fi g 4, the side plate 4 is visible in mounted position. The rear piece 12 of the side plate 4 extends to the middle of the outermost elevation 15 of the convector plate 6. The transverse rear edge 13 is xxerated by positioning means 17, which in the preferred embodiment are two in number. The trailing edge 13 is thus prevented from movements in the longitudinal direction of the radiator 1, i.e. laterally in the groove, in that the positioning means 17 are xxerated on the elevation 15 and that the trailing edge 13 is in turn fixed laterally in the positioning means 17. Furthermore, the trailing edge 13 is fixed in the diagonal in the groove, since the positioning means 17 have a spacer 18 (see 6) which prevents the trailing edge 13 from being moved closer to the elevation 15 than the spacer portion 18 allows. Finally, the positioning means 17 in Fig. 4 are arranged opposite the shallow recesses 14 shown in fi g 2 on the trailing edge 13. This fixing to some extent counteracts vertical movements of the trailing edge 13. Since the side plate 4 is typically made of metal and thus is a rigid construction, an eringxation of the rear edge means an improved fixation of the side plate 4 as a whole, especially as its front edge is also positioned along the side edge of the radiator panel 2, its upper edge is connected to the upper grid 3 and its pipe penetrations 8a, 8b are attached at the pipe connections Sa, 5b. The positioning means 17 are suitably mounted by placing them so that they delimit the current elevation 15 at their outer ends, i.e. outside the area covered by the back piece 12. The positioning means 17 are then slid along the elevation 15 until they reach the respective shallow recesses 14 on the rear edge 13 of the side plate 4, and the rear edge 13 is snapped into place. Fig. 5 is a detail view in perspective of the upper positioning member 17 in its mounted position between the rear edge 13 of the side plate 4 and the elevation 15 in the recess 14. In Fig. 5 it is clearer that the positioning member has an engaging portion delimiting the elevation 15 on the convector plate 6. opposite the positioning member 17, there is an alignment portion 20, which receives a piece of the outermost portion of the side edge 13, in the area of the recess 14. Since the length of the recess 14 substantially corresponds to the length of the alignment portion 20, the positioning member and the side edge 13 are x to eachother. Between the engaging portion 19 and the alignment portion 20, the spacer portion 18 is arranged, which ensures that a certain mutual distance between the convector plate 6 and the side edge 13 is maintained. In Fig. 6 the positioning member 17 is shown in perspective. The engaging portion 19, which cooperates with an elevation 15 on the convector plate 6, has in the preferred embodiment two legs 21 with a smooth inside and a rough outside. The smooth inside enables the positioning member 17 to be moved unhindered along the elevation 15 on the convector plate 6. The smoothed outside of the legs 21 enables a good manual engagement for 6 15 20 25 30 6 to grip the positioning member and move it along the elevation 15. The width on the positioning member 17 is advantageously such that it is easy to grip. The alignment portion 20 has in the preferred embodiment a narrow receiving space which is slightly wider than the thickness of the plate in the trailing edge 13. The receiving space is surrounded by two walls 22, the length of which in the preferred embodiment is equal to the width of the entire positioning member 17. , and also corresponds to the length of the recesses 14 in the trailing edge 13. The alignment portion 20 prevents movements of the trailing edge 13 and thus the entire side plate 4 laterally. The alignment portion 20 also prevents the rear edge 13 from rotating. The spacer portion 18 maintains, as previously mentioned, a certain distance between the convector plate 6 and the trailing edge 13. The distance between the trailing edge 13 in the recess 14 and the surface of the elevation 15 must thus be at least higher than that of the spacer portion 18, which is approximately the engaging portion 19 of the positioning member 17. ALTERNATIVE EMBODIMENTS The appearance of the backing 12 and the trailing edge 13 of the side surface 4 to be axed can of course be varied considerably within the scope of the appended claims. For example, it is possible to dispense with the shallow recesses, and nevertheless achieve a fairly good grading of the side plate 4. Another way of varying the invention is to design the positioning member 17 so that the alignment portion 20 is displaced laterally relative to the engaging portion 19. As a result, the engaging portion can cooperate with an elevation 15, which is arranged closer to the center of the radiator 1, while the trailing edge 13 of the side plate 4 does not extend all the way up to this elevation. Thereby it is possible to save material in the manufacture of the side plates 4. The invention can be further varied within the scope of the appended claims.
