专利说明:

According to a first aspect of the invention, it is an object in a machine set-up operated by an operator to double or multiply the production capacity by a manually controlled cutting and splitting of logs into long lengths of wood pieces in a dedicated wood processor and in connection therewith automatically cut these long pieces of wood to finished lengths in this device.
Description of the invention. Fig. 1 - 6.
Fig. 1 shows a side view of the cutting device.
Fig. 2 shows a top view of the cutting device.
Fig. 3 shows a side view of the cutting device with long pieces of wood on the vibrating plane 7 of the feeding device 1 and pre-cut pieces of wood falling from the folded fork 4.
Fig. 4 shows a side view of the cutting device with long pieces of wood fed transversely to the fork 4.
Fig. 5 shows a side view of the cutting device with long pieces of wood held by the fork arm 5.
Fig. 6 shows a side view of the cutting device with pieces of wood pre-cut by a chainsaw 6 and new long pieces of wood are fed onto the vibrating plane 7.
The device is set up in direct connection with a wood processor's splitting chute 10. When a cut long piece of wood is pushed through the wood processor's splitting knife 9, the previously split pieces of wood are released and fed in the splitting direction on the vibrating plane 7 vibrating plane 7 towards an end leveling wall 2.
The feed distance which mostly comprises the distance on the vibrating plane 7 is longer than the length of the cut pieces of wood, so when they are evened against the wall 2 they are not in contact with the pieces of wood which sit in the wood processor's splitting knife 9. The cross feed device 3 then shoots with its wall 8 the pieces of wood across the splitting direction out onto the fork 4 of the device and then returns to its initial position to make room for new pieces of wood to be fed into the feeding device. As soon as the cross-feeding device 3 is in its front position, the fork arm 5 is folded down over the pieces of wood and clamps them against the fork 4. Then the chainsaws 6 are folded down over the bundle of wood and cut the pieces of wood into finished lengths. When the chainsaw / saws have reached their lower position, they return immediately, the graft arm 5 is raised and the fork 4 is folded so that the pieces of wood fall down. Then set fork 4 to the starting position and the process is repeated. With a photocell 11 which detects the pieces of wood pushed out from the splitting chute 10 of the wood processor and when they have been leveled and electrical sensors indicating the positions of the cross-feeder 3, fork 4, fork arm 5 and cutting saw 6, the feeding and cutting process can be automated.
Within the scope of this general inventive concept, the cutting device can be designed in many different ways. One way is to design the feeding device 1 as a belt or chain conveyor which feeds the wood pieces towards the end leveling wall 2 or that the feeding device 1 is formed with a number of driven rollers which feed the wood pieces towards the end leveling wall 2, but is in the preferred embodiment formed with a vibrating plane 7 with directed vibrations in the splitting direction which feed the pieces of wood against the end leveling wall 2. Furthermore, the cross-feeding device 3 can be designed as a chain conveyor with carriers which cross-feed pieces of wood out of the feeding device 1 to the fork 4 or to and past the saws 6, but is preferably a wall 8 which cross-feeds the pieces of wood out of the feeding device. Furthermore, the fork arm 5 can be designed as a floating stop against wood pieces, ie the stop rests resiliently against the wood pieces when they are fed to the cutting point and the saws 6, but is in the preferred embodiment designed as a fork which presses the wood pieces into a bundle of wood. Furthermore, the chainsaws 6 can be fixed and the pieces of wood fed towards them, but in the preferred embodiment is designed with a oscillating arm so that the chainsaws 6 are folded over the pieces of wood.

Claims (6)
[1]
1. Device for cutting pieces of wood which before this device have been cut in double or multiple lengths in another machine, wood processor which cuts and splits, may be used to remove the pieces of wood which have been pushed loose from the splitter (9) of the wood processor. the splitting direction of a feeding device (1) so that the rear end of the pieces of wood in the splitting direction is not in contact with the pieces of wood stuck in the splitter and that the front of the pieces of wood reaches a wall (2) and is leveled thereto whereupon these end pieces are moved to the side across the splicing direction of a cross feed 3) to a fork (4) whereupon a fork arm (5) is lowered towards the fork (4) and grips the pieces of wood into a bundle whereupon one or more saws (6) are folded down over the bundle of wood and cut pieces of wood to the finished product length, whereupon the saw ( 6) or the saws (6) and the fork arm (5) are raised and the fork (4) is folded so that the cut pieces of wood fall down and that new pieces of wood are fed in the splitting direction and the process upwards fits automatically.
[2]
Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the feeding device (1) has a vibrating plane (7) which slopes transversely to the transverse direction against the wall (8) of the transverse feeding device and the vibrations are directed in the splitting direction so that the pieces of wood are fed along the splitting direction. (2) and evened out.
[3]
Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the cross-feeding device (3) consists of a wall (8) against which the pieces of wood are guided when they are fed forward on the vibrating plane and which pushes the pieces of wood transversely from the vibrating plane (7) to the fork (4) to return directly to its standby position for re-feeding firewood. 10
[4]
Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the fork (4) and fork arm (5) are designed so that its arms go side by side so that the fork (4) and fork arm (5) can grip large and small bundles of wood pieces .
[5]
Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the fork (4) is folded down so that the pre-cut pieces of wood can fall down.
[6]
Device according to claim 1, characterized in that a photocell (11) detects the pieces of wood which are pushed forward from the splitting chute (10) of the wood processor and when they have been leveled and that electrical sensors indicate the cross-feed device (3), fork (4), fork arm (5) and the positions of the cutting saw (6), the feeding and cutting process can be automated.
