15 20 25 30 35 the beverage packaging must be produced. Attention to traffic is suffering and safety is being ignored.
Various solutions have been proposed to provide easily accessible holders for cooling beverages in vehicles.
US2008 / 0178623 describes, for example, a ventilated holder for cooling beverages and which is intended for a vehicle. The holder is placed at the vehicle's instrument panel near or at a grille to one of the vehicle's ventilation outlets, which enables the supply of cold air via the vehicle's normal ventilation fan or from the vehicle's AC. The container is also provided with a smaller container intended for water which evaporates when air flows through the container and which thereby helps to cool the beverage package placed in the container.
This construction is complicated in its construction and consists of several parts and requires constant supervision and maintenance, e.g. with water. in that it must be continuously filled DE102007006898 describes another variant of holder for bottles and uses a Peltier-type electric cooling element for cooling. The holder shown is intended for cooling two bottles simultaneously, placed in a pocket which presses several bottles mechanically against the cooling element. This solution has disadvantages. On the one hand, the storage pocket must tighten around the bottles so that they are pressed against the cooling element, which makes it difficult to e.g. take a hand out or put a bottle in the holder / pocket. On the one hand, a separate electrically driven cooling element must be used, which makes the construction more expensive, requires an electrical connection and consumes extra power.
DE19944180 describes a further variant of a holder for placing and cooling beverage packaging. The purpose of this construction is that it should be able to be mechanically moved from a lower storage position to an upper use position, which is achieved by arranging a plurality of parallel struts 10 next to the holder. At the bottom of the holder, an electrically driven cooling element of the Peltier type is arranged which can optionally be connected to the vehicle's electrical system by means of a cable and an electrical connector. This holder takes up a relatively large amount of space and, because it is mounted on the vehicle seat, it risks being in the way when moving inside the vehicle cab. The design requires that a separate electrically driven cooling element be used and that this be switched on manually when there is a need for cooling.
Prior art in this field does not solve the problem of detecting a holder for cooling beverages which enables a good placement in the vehicle and which utilizes already existing cooling capacity from an existing cooling device in such a way that cooled air is automatically let into the holder when needed. is present, ie when a beverage package is placed in the holder, and which closes the supply when there is no need, ie when no beverage package is placed in the holder.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems and to demonstrate a simple and easily placed holder for cooling beverage packages and which utilizes already existing cooling capacity in the vehicle.
Another object of the invention is that the cooling capacity can be transferred via cooled air which is let into the holder when needed, ie when a beverage package is placed in the holder and which closes the supply when no beverage package is placed in the holder.
A further purpose is that the inflow of cooled air takes place automatically by a valve opening when a beverage package is placed in the container. A further object is that the inflow of cooled air is controlled mechanically by means of the beverage packaging's own weight.
A further object is that the application of the holder should not require mechanical redesign of an existing cooling device.
A further object of the invention is that the holder should be able to be mounted in or with commonly used types of cooling devices.
A further object of the invention is that the construction should have few parts, and be easy to manufacture, be functional, safe, cost-effective to assemble and maintain.
These and further objects and advantages are achieved according to the invention by a device defined by the features stated in the independent claim 1.
The invention thus relates to a holder for cooling beverage packages and is particularly intended for placement and use in a vehicle, such as for example a truck. The invention is especially intended for vehicle cabins which are already provided with some type of known cooling device such as a refrigerator or cooling box. placed at the rear of the cab. The cooling device can suitably be extendable, for example from a position under a bed arranged at the rear, but can of course also be placed in another way in the cab. The holder is preferably located outside but at or in direct connection to the cooling device and utilizes the cooling capacity of the cooling device. The holder communicates with the internal space of the cooling device via at least one air duct arranged between the units.
It is possible to place the holder inside the cooling device, whereby a recess intended for this purpose is required to be arranged in its lid in order to enable the beverage packaging to be easily lifted out and put back without the lid of the cooling device having to be opened.
The beverage packages can in a known manner consist of glass or plastic bottles, metal cans of different sizes, or consist of some form of plastic / paper packaging.
The holder is designed so that it can be mounted in a number of different ways, but preferably it is mounted at one of the vertical wall portions of the cooling device, for example against one of the end walls of the cooling device. The holder is suitably mounted against the end wall which in the mounted position of the cooling device in the vehicle is directed forward in the vehicle. The location of the holder means that the driver can easily access the beverage packaging between the front seats and without having to pull out the cooling device.
Arranged in the holder is a spring-biased mechanism which opens a valve, arranged in the air duct, when the beverage package is placed in the holder. The opening of the valve is caused by the own weight of the can or bottle when it presses against a bottom plate which is mechanically mounted to the valve. Through the air duct and the valve, cooled air is supplied from the inner space of the cooling device to the space in the holder. It is also conceivable to integrate the holder in the cooling device in such a way that the beverage packaging can be reached without the refrigerator / cooling box itself having to be opened. A recess is then arranged in the lid of the cooling device through which the beverage can easily be picked up and set back. The spring-biased mechanism shuts off the air flow when no beverage is placed in the holder and cooling capacity does not flow out to the environment unnecessarily.
Advantages of the solution according to the invention are that it can keep beverages cooled without the need for an additional costly and power-consuming cooling unit to be installed. 10 15 20 25 30 35 Another advantage is that it becomes easier and faster for the driver to reach and lift the beverage packaging, which improves the ergonomics for the driver and at the same time contributes to increased traffic safety.
An additional advantage is that the space in the refrigeration device does not have to be used for the current beverage packaging, which makes it possible to store other goods and food in the refrigerator.
Another advantage is that the invention does not require redesign of cooling devices existing in the vehicles, but the holder according to the invention can be mounted to many cooling devices existing on the market. This makes it easier and cheaper to implement the new solution.
Other advantages of the invention are that it is possible to adapt the installation to current conditions in the individual vehicle.
Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following, more detailed description of the invention, and from the accompanying drawings and other claims.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention is described in more detail below in some preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows an oblique front view of a cooling device provided with a holder according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows a vertical cross-section through the cooling device and the holder. Figure 3 shows in more detail a cross section through the holder according to the invention and how cooled air passes in through the valve and into the holder.
Figure 4 shows a cross section according to figure 3 but with holder unloaded, ie without beverage packaging, and where the valve is closed by the action of a compression spring.
Figure 5 shows a cross section through the cooling device in an alternative embodiment where the holder is mounted inside the cooling device and a hole is taken up in the lid of the cooling device.
DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Figure 1 shows a view obliquely from the front of a cooling device 1 known per se with mounted holder 2 according to the invention for a beverage package 3, here a bottle.
The cooling device 1, which is suitably mounted under a bed (not shown), and is extendable, for example, on rails, is mainly made of a substantially heat-insulating material such as, for example, styrene with an outer and inner casing of a more durable plastic, such as ABS or the like. . The cooling device 1 can be closed by means of an upper lid 4 which can be opened when the cooling device 1 is pulled out from its storage position under the bed.
The holder 2 is similarly made of a heat-insulating material with a cover of durable plastic. The holder 2 is designed as a vessel which is substantially tight against the surroundings for the purpose of retaining cooled air in the inner space 5 of the holder 2.
The holder 2 is open at the top to enable a beverage package 3 to be easily lowered into, or lifted out of, the holder 2.
Figure 2 shows a vertical cross-section through the cooling device 1 and the holder 2 mounted thereon. The holder 2 is mounted at one of the wall portions of the cooling device 1, for example a front end wall 6, by means of screw joints, gluing method or the like (not shown) so that a mechanically durable assembly is achieved. Between the cooling device 1 and the holder 2 there is arranged at least one air duct 7 or air passage which can preferably be opened and closed by means of a valve 8 or a damper. The valve 8 consists of a vertically displaceable slide 9 preferably provided with a plurality of through-going recesses 10a. The slide 9 slides in a vertical direction against a fixed wall part 11 which is provided with substantially corresponding recesses 10b which the slide 9 has. The wall part 11 can consist of a part of the wall 2 of the holder 2 or a part of the end wall 6 of the cooling device or be a separate part (not shown) mounted along and against the slide 9. to, for example of the Peltier type. in its inner space, arranged a cooling element 12, provided with cooling flanges 13 placed on the back and outside of the cooling device 1. The cooling element 12 dissipates heat and cools the air in the inner space 14 of the cooling device 1.
Figure 3 shows in more detail a cross section through the holder 2 according to the invention and how cooled air passes via the valve 8 into the holder 2 from the cooling device 1. The valve 8 is shown here in the open position. In the figure, a beverage package 3 loads, by its weight, a bottom part 15 arranged towards the valve 8 against the action of a compression spring 16 arranged below the bottom part 15, the valve 8 and its perforated slide 9 being pressed down to a lower end position. The holes 10a in the slide 9 thus end up in a position corresponding to the holes 10b in the wall part 11 and air can flow through the valve 8.
Figure 4 shows the cross section according to figure 3 but with an unloaded holder 2, the holder 2, ie no beverage package 3 is placed in and where the valve 8 is displaced vertically upwards, and by the action of the compression spring 16, to an upper end position, thus assumes a closed position. No air can thus pass through the air duct 7 or the valve 8.
Figure 5 shows in a cross section through the cooling device 1 an alternative embodiment where the holder 2 is mounted inside the cooling device 1 and a hole 17 is taken up in the lid 4 of the cooling device 1 to allow easy access to the inner space 5 of the holder 2. When a beverage package 3 is placed in the holder The valve 8 is open and when a beverage package 3 is missing in the holder, the valve 8 is closed and the cold air is kept in the cooling device 1.
The description above is primarily intended to facilitate the understanding of the invention and is of course not limited to the stated embodiments, but other variants of the invention are also possible and conceivable within the scope of the inventive concept and the scope of subsequent claims. Thus, it is entirely conceivable that the holder 2 for cooling a beverage package 3 can be used in all types of vehicles such as boats, cars, construction machinery, aircraft, etc. In order to increase the air exchange between the inner space 14 of the cooling device 1 and the inner space 5 of the holder 2, small electric fan (not shown) is arranged so that it blows cold air into the holder 2 from the inner space of the cooling device 1. It is also possible (10a) or substantially horizontally extending elongate grooves (not that the recesses of the slide (9) are designed as round holes are shown) placed one above the other.
