专利说明:

15 20 25 30 2 limiting elements used are often one meter long and weigh between about 30 and 70 kg depending on the intended area of application.
Because the boundary elements are relatively heavy, their laying causes problems. Traditionally, pallets with restraining elements have been placed, at suitable intervals, along the distance where the restraining elements are to be laid. To place each restraining element in the desired location, two people have together lifted one restraining element at a time from the pallet and placed it in the desired location. Due to the weight of the restraining elements and the height difference between the height of the restraining elements on the pallet and the ground level, the persons are exposed to a large load even if the lifting from the pallet is performed in an ergonomically correct manner. The work is therefore associated with a risk of occupational injuries.
Placing the boundary elements at the desired position also requires great care for the boundary elements to end up along a desired, often straight, line. This means that the work is time consuming.
Due to the problems above, aids for laying boundary elements have been developed. An example of such an aid is a so-called delivery trailer marketed by Spikma. The laying cart is an aid for manually lifting a restraining element from a pallet and putting it in place. The laying cart has an elongated stirrup which is slightly longer than a limiting element. At both ends of the bracket there are gripping means for gripping the short ends of the limiting element. At one end of the jumper there is a handle and at the other there is a support wheel. Approximately in the middle of the yoke, a support with wheels is arranged to facilitate the movement of the restraining element with the loading cart. Although the cart facilitates the work and reduces the number of people required to lay out and place curbs, it is rarely used because it is perceived as awkward and cumbersome by users. Another disadvantage of the laying cart is that only one limiting element can be lifted off the pallet at a time.
There is therefore a need for devices which at least partially remedy the above-mentioned problems, streamline the work and which reduce the load to which the users are exposed and thus also load damage. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device for laying boundary elements which at least partially obviates the above-mentioned problems. The object of the invention is achieved according to an aspect of the invention by a device for laying elongate limiting elements, preferably curbs in road construction, which device comprises a support element which is adapted to be attached to an operable arm and a dispensing device, which is adapted to support said limiting element in dispensing thereof from the support element when using the device, the support element having a substantially flat support area and being adapted to receive, carry and deliver at least a first limiting element.
By limiting elements is meant elongate elements, preferably so-called curbs or curbs of concrete, intended as a boundary or boundary between two areas, for example in road contexts.
A device according to the above is advantageous because it reduces the load to which the persons laying the boundary elements are subjected, by the boundary elements being lifted off from the pallet to the desired location by means of the device. In this way, the risk of occupational injuries is reduced. Furthermore, the device simplifies the laying of the limiting elements. Since the maneuver requires only one person, ie. the person who takes care of the excavator also makes the work more efficient.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the dispensing device is a laying device separate from the support element which in an end portion has a gripping portion for engagement with said first limiting element when dispensing said first limiting element.
Such a delivery device facilitates the laying along a desired line in connection with the delivery of a limiting element.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the dispensing device comprises a retaining device for retaining at least one second limiting element upon delivery of said first limiting element. Such a delivery device facilitates the delivery of a limiting element from the support element in that only the limiting element which is in turn to be laid is discharged from the bridge area.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the carrier area has a receiving and dispensing direction for receiving and dispensing said limiting element, the carrier element comprising at least a side portion arranged along an edge of the carrying area, which edge is substantially parallel to said receiving and dispensing direction.
Such side portions prevent the limiting elements from accidentally falling out of the support area in the direction where the side portions are arranged if the support element is angled in such a direction. A side portion also facilitates that the limiting elements are moved on the support area parallel to the edge where the side portion is arranged. In addition, a side portion means that a limiting element cannot in connection with the application accidentally protrude from the bearing area in a direction where the side portion is arranged.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the carrier element comprises at least one transport means arranged in the carrier element so that a transport direction of the transport means is parallel to said receiving and dispensing direction.
By direction of transport is meant the direction in which the transport means transports an object.
A conveying means according to the above enables the limiting elements to be arranged in line with the conveying means in use, so that the transport means can facilitate the delivery of the limiting elements by the friction of the limiting elements towards the support area not having to be overcome in connection with the delivery.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the transport means is arranged in the vicinity of the periphery of the carrying area.
With such a transport means, the delivery of the limiting elements is remedied substantially all the way out of the support element.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the device comprises an application unit comprising a drive unit and a movable application means. With such an application unit, the reception of the limiting elements by the carrier area is facilitated. An application means means that the limiting elements do not have to be arranged against an abutment before application to the bearing area. In this way, it is possible to move boundary elements on the carrying area from both sides of a pallet, or other type of storage place, on which the boundary elements are arranged before applying them to the carrying area.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the applicator means comprises at least one extendable arm, which is pivotally arranged to the support element, and an abutment which is arranged on the arm.
A pivotable applicator element can be raised and lowered and can thus be moved so that it is not in the way when the limiting elements are to be discharged from the support element, which means that the limiting elements can be discharged in both directions.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the carrying area has a width which is adapted to the width of at least two limiting elements.
With such a carrying area, several limiting elements can be moved simultaneously from the place where they are stored to the place where they are to be laid. In this way, the laying of the limiting elements can be made more efficient.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the applicator comprises an extensible tubular element and a locking mechanism to prevent change in the length of the tubular element.
Such an applicator can be adapted to the physique, such as the length, of the user. In this way, an ergonomic working position can be achieved regardless of the user's physique. Such an extensible element may comprise at least two telescopic tubular elements or at least two tubular elements which are arranged next to each other along their longitudinal extent.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the grip portion of the applicator comprises a hook which is adapted for engagement with a recess in said limiting element.
Such a gripping portion is advantageous for secure engagement with the restraining element. According to another aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by a method for laying lengthwise limiting elements, preferably curbs in road construction, comprising the steps of: moving a support element, arranged on an operable arm, with at least a first elongate limiting element so that said first elongate restraining element which is in turn to be laid is substantially in line with an imaginary line along which said first elongate restraining element is intended to be laid, and - delivering said first elongate restraining element from the support element.
Such a method is advantageous because it reduces the load to which the persons laying the restraining elements are subjected, since the lifting of restraining elements from the pallet to the desired location takes place by means of the support element.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the method further comprises the step of applying at least said first elongate limiting element to the support element.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the method further comprises the step of applying at least said first longitudinal limiting element to the support element comprises simultaneously applying at least a second limiting element.
Such a step is advantageous because it means that the limiting elements can be laid more efficiently.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the method further comprises the step of lateral displacement of said first elongate limiting element in the support element.
Such a step is advantageous if, for reasons of space, it is not possible to displace the support element laterally or if the support element comprises transport means which are arranged at a specific location in the support area.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the method further comprises the steps of mounting a dispenser engaging a recess on said first elongate restraining member, aligning / positioning said first elongate restraining member with the dispenser, and removing the dispenser from the first longitudinal engagement with said dispenser. the extended limiting element when said first length-extended limiting element is in the desired place.
Such a method is advantageous because it facilitates the insertion of boundary elements along a desired line.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the step of dispensing said first elongate restraining member from the support member comprises retaining said first elongate restraining member with an applicator while the support member is moved in a laying direction.
A direction of laying refers to the direction in which the limiting elements are to be laid.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the step of delivering said first elongate limiting element from the support element comprises retaining at least one second limiting element.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the device comprises a support element adapted to be attached to an operable arm and a delivery device, which is adapted to support said limiting element upon delivery thereof from the support element when using the device, the support element having a substantially flat support area and is adapted to receive, receive and deliver at least a first limiting element.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the device is a device according to the first aspect of the invention as above. The method thus has corresponding advantages as described above in connection with the first aspect of the invention.
Additional features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent when the appended claims and the following description are studied. One skilled in the art will recognize that various features of the invention may be combined to create embodiments in addition to those described below, without departing from the scope of the invention. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will be described in more detail in the following with reference to the accompanying drawings which, by way of example, show an embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective view showing an embodiment of a device according to the invention; Figs. 2a-d are schematic perspective figures showing the operation of the device and the method according to the invention; and Fig. 3 is a schematic perspective view showing an alternative embodiment of a device according to the invention; Fig. 4 is a schematic perspective view showing a further alternative embodiment of a device according to the invention.
Description of exemplary embodiments Figure 1 shows an embodiment of a device according to the invention. In the exemplary embodiment, the device 1 comprises a support element 2 and a laying device 3, which is an example of a delivery device according to the claims. The support element 2 comprises a support area 4, side portions 5 and a bracket 6.
The support area 4 comprises a substantially flat disc which is substantially rectangular. An extension of the support area 4 between the side portions 5 is such that the support area 4 can carry a desired number of limiting elements in width. Preferably, said limiting elements are so-called curbs which are used, for example, in road construction. Furthermore, an extension of the support area 4 along the side portions 5 is such that the support area 4 can carry the desired number of limiting elements without the limiting elements becoming unbalanced, i.e. so that the limiting elements lie relatively stable on the support area 4 even if the support element 2 is moved, provided that the support area 4 is inclined substantially horizontally during the movement.
The side portions 5 are arranged at two opposite edges of the support area 4. The side portions 5 have such a height that a desired type of limiting element can be accommodated with movements in the support element 2 when the limiting elements lie on the support area 4 with the intended underside against the support area 4. 25 30 9 underside refers to a side of the limiting element on which side the limiting element is intended to rest on when it is completed on the desired surface.
The side portions 5 do not have to extend over the entire area between the support area 4 and a cross member 7 as long as there is a portion of the side portion 5 which extends along the edge of the support area 4 and which is high enough to fulfill its function, ie. i.a. to prevent the limiting elements from accidentally falling out of the support element 2 laterally. In such cases, the device preferably comprises at least two side elements which start from the upper edge of the side portions and which extend between this and the cross member 7.
The bracket 6, which is arranged on the sleepers 7, is intended for attaching the support element 2 to an operable arm 15 and is adapted to a conventional bracket for a bucket on an excavator arm. Preferably, the bracket 6 allows the support element 2 to be fixed in a releasably fixed manner on the operable arm. Such a bracket 6 facilitates the operation of the support element 2.
Either the support bracket 6 itself is constructed in such a way that the support element 2 is fixed relative to the arm 15, or the support element 6 or the arm 15 is provided with some kind of means for fixing the support element 2 relative to the arm 15. within the scope of the invention the bracket can 6 adopt any suitable design, as long as it fulfills its purpose.
In the embodiment of figure 1, the laying device 3 is independent in relation to the support element 2 and has in one end portion a hook 8, which is an example of a grip portion according to the claims, for engagement with a limiting element (not shown) when using the device. The spreader 3 further comprises a shaft 9, which is an example of a tubular element according to the claims. The shaft 9 is telescopic and comprises at least two tubular elements and a locking mechanism 10. The shaft 9 is thus extendable and its length can be adapted to suit users with different body builds and lengths.
The locking mechanism 10 prevents change of the length of the tube element when the desired length has been set. Other mechanisms for achieving that the shaft 9 is extendable are also possible. The spreader 3 also comprises a handle 11 arranged at the opposite end to the hook 8.
The dimensions of the support element 2 and the laying device 3 are adapted to the dimensions of the limiting elements for which the device 1 is intended to be used. In an exemplary embodiment, the width between the side portions 5 of the support area 4 is approximately 120 cm and a depth along the side portions 5 is approximately 80 cm. A carrying area with such a bed is adapted for boundary elements which are about 170-185 mm wide and are arranged in horizontal rows of 6 pieces in width layer on a pallet. Depending on the width of the restraining elements, the spaces between the restraining elements on the pallet can be varied. For example, if the width of the limiting elements is less than stated above, the number of limiting elements in width on the pallet can be increased or alternatively the spaces between these on the pallet can be increased. The thickness of the bearing area is preferably 8 mm. The height of the side portions 5 of the support element 2 is adapted so that there is space above the limiting elements 12 so that the user can, without bending his back, bring the laying device 3 into engagement with a groove 22 or other type of recess on the limiting elements 12. short side through the support element 2 without the shaft 9 of the spreader 3 facing the cross member 7. In the exemplary embodiment, the measurement of the grip portion of the spreader 3 is adapted to the measurement of a groove 22, which is an example of a recess according to the claims, in a short end of the limiting elements. The groove 22 is adapted to a spring at the other short end of the limiting element for tongue-and-groove joint between the limiting elements 12. In particular, the width of the hook 8 is adapted to the width of the groove. In an exemplary embodiment, the width of the groove 22 is about 25 mm and the width of the hook 8 is about 20 mm. In this way there is a certain movement of the hook 8 at the same time as the hook 8 provides sufficient support for the limiting element 12. Of course, the width of the hook 8 can be changed to achieve the desired effect for other widths of groove 22 or other recesses. Within the scope of the invention, the above measurements can of course be adapted to other types of limiting elements, for example in other applications, if desired or necessary.
Figures 2a-d are a series of figures illustrating the operation of the device and a method of laying boundary elements 12, such as edge supports, according to the invention. The method comprises the steps of: moving a support element 2, arranged on an operable arm 15, with at least one elongate limiting element 12 so that the elongate limiting element 12a which is in turn to be laid is substantially in line with an imaginary line along which the elongate limiting element 12 is intended to be laid, - delivery of the elongate limiting element 12a from the support element 2, - alignment / positioning of the elongate limiting element 12a with the laying device 3, and - removal of the laying member 3 from engagement with the extended length the limiting element 12 when the longitudinally extending limiting element 12 is in the desired location.
Preferably, the step of discharging the longitudinal limiting element from the support element 2 comprises opposing the elongate limiting element 12 with a laying device 3 while the support element 2 is moved in a laying direction.
In figure 2a, the support element 2 is arranged on an excavator arm 15, which is an example of an operable arm 15 according to the claims. The edge supports 12, which are examples of limiting elements according to the claims, are arranged in horizontal rows on top of each other on a pallet 13. Between two horizontal rows in height, two narrow distances, for example in the form of a batten, are usually arranged.
As can be seen from the figure, the support area 4 is slightly wider than the total width of the number of edge supports 12, in this case 6 pieces, which form a horizontal row of edge supports 12 on a pallet 13. A thickness of the support area 4 is adapted to the thickness of the narrow distances i.e. the thickness of the support area 4 is less than the thickness of the narrow boards. By operating the operable arm 15 on which the support element 2 is arranged, the support area 4 of the support element 2 can be inserted below the uppermost horizontal row of edge supports 12 in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the edge supports. In this way the edge supports 12 can be easily moved on the support area 4 in such a way that they rest on their underside and lie in width between the side portions 5 of the support element 2. In its simplest embodiment, the support element 2 is mirror-symmetrical about a plane extending across the support element 2 in the longitudinal extent of the edge supports 12. Thus, it does not matter which side of the support element 2 faces the pallet 13 with edge support 12 when the support area 4 is moved between two layers of edge support 12. In figure 2b the edge supports 12 have been moved by means of the support element 2 to the desired location. The edge supports 12 lie in width on the support area in the support element 2 between the side portions 5 of the support element. The edge support 12a which is in turn to be laid is substantially in line with an imaginary line along which the edge supports 12 are intended to be laid. Thus, the longitudinal extent of the edge support 12a is substantially in line with a longitudinal extent of an edge support 12 'already laid and positioned in the desired location. The support element 2 with the edge supports 12 can be placed so that there is a small space between the edge support 12a in the support element and the previously laid edge support 12 'on the base or so that the support elements 12a, 12' end up edge to edge. However, it is preferable that there is a gap between the edge support 12a in the support element 2 and the previously laid edge support 12 'in order not to risk the edge support 12' falling out of the desired position by mistake by incorrectly operating the support element 2. About the support element 2 incorrectly operated, it may cause the pre-laid edge support 12 'to be impacted.
In figure 2c, a person has applied the hook 8 of the laying device 3 in engagement with the groove 22 in the distal short end of the edge support 12a while the person holds the handle of the laying device 3. By holding by means of the laying device 3 while the support element 2 is moved in a laying direction, ie. in the direction in which the edge supports are intended to be laid or in a direction away from an end of the edge support 12 facing the person, the edge support 12 can be released from the support element 2. In connection with the support element 2 being moved, the person can by holding with the laying device 3 maintaining and adjusting a desired direction of the longitudinal extent of the edge support 12a.
Since the support element 2 has a height which allows the person to both bring the extension member 3 into engagement with the groove 22 through the support element 2 and hold it by means of the extension member 3 when delivering and positioning the edge support 12a standing with a straight back, an ergonomically designed working position is obtained.
If the edge support 12a is placed at a distance relative to the previously laid edge support 12 ', the person preferably pulls the edge support 12a against the previously laid edge support 12', so that the edge supports 12a, 12 'end up edge to edge so that the spring of the edge support 12a is inserted in the note 22 of the previously laid edge support 12 ”. 10 15 20 25 30 13 In figure 2d the person aligns the edge support 12a with the laying device 3.
By moving the laying device 3 laterally, the angle of the edge support 12a relative to the intended laying line can be changed and adjusted by moving one end of the edge support 12a which does not rest against the ground laterally. In this way, the person can position the edge support 12a in line with the laying direction. When the edge support 12a is in the desired position, it is lowered onto the ground by means of the laying device 3. When the edge support 12a is in the desired position on the ground, the laying device 3 is released from engagement with the groove 22 in the edge support 12a.
Figure 3 shows an alternative embodiment of a device 1 according to the invention in which the support element 2 comprises rollers 16, which is an example of transport means according to the claims, which are arranged at the edge of the support area 4 so that the surface of the rollers 16 is in line with the surface of the support area 4 which is intended to receive the edge supports 12. In this way the rollers 16 do not prevent the edge supports from being moved laterally on the support area 4. Each roller 16 has a width, i.e. extension in its axial direction, which substantially corresponds to or is slightly less than the width of an edge support 12. The rollers 16 are arranged in pairs at one of the side portions 5 so that an axis about which they rotate is in line with the extent of the support area 4 between the side portions 5. of the rollers 16 is preferably such that it does not prevent the carrying area 4 from being inserted between two horizontal rows of edge supports 12 on the pallet 13 (not shown).
Figure 4 shows a further alternative embodiment, in which the device 1 comprises an application unit comprising a drive unit (not shown) and an application means 19. The application means 19 comprises two extendable arms 20 arranged in the lower part of each side portion 5 adjacent to the support area 4. Preferably, each arm 20 consists of at least two hopping hydraulic cylinders. On the arms 20 an abutment in the form of a plate 21 is arranged. Preferably, the arms 20 can be pivoted about their point of attachment, so that the plate 21 can be moved towards the bracket 6. In this way the application unit 17 can be lifted over the edge supports 12 on the pallet 13, so that the plate 21 can be moved to the opposite side of the edge supports 12. The plate 21 can preferably be fixed in a position close to the bracket 6 with a locking mechanism (not shown) to facilitate access to the edge supports 12 in the support area 4. The application unit enables the edge supports to be moved on the support element 2 without the edge supports 12 on the pallet 13 are arranged against an abutment. Thus, the edge supports 12 can be moved on the support element 12 from both sides of the load pallet 13. This means that, if desired, parts of a row of edge supports 12 on the load pallet 13 can be moved on from one side of the load pallet 13, seen along the longitudinal edge of the edge support. stretching, and the second part from the other side of the pallet 13. In a further alternative embodiment, the arm 20 may consist of at least two, preferably telescopic, pipe units, which are driven by mechanical transmission, such as for example chain drive.
The embodiment with an application unit can be combined with transport means whose diameter is not limited by the thickness of the boards between each horizontal row of edge supports 12 on the pallet 13 as there is no need to slide the support area 4 between two horizontal rows of edge supports for the support element to take against the edge supports.
The features of the embodiments in Figures 1, 3 and 4 above can be combined with each other, so that a device 1 according to the invention contains both an application unit and rollers 16. For example, the embodiment with an application unit can be combined with transport means whose diameter is not limited by the thickness of the distances between each horizontal row of edge supports 12 on the pallet 13 as the application unit eliminates the need to slide the support area 4 between two horizontal rows of edge supports 12 in order for the support element 2 to be able to receive the edge supports 12.
It will be appreciated that a variety of modifications of the above-described embodiments of the device 1 according to the invention are possible within the scope of the invention, as defined by the appended claims. For example, the support area 4 may be divided into two or more with spaces between the parts extending between the side portions 5. The support area 4 may comprise recesses or holes, or consist of some kind of grid. Instead of full-covering side portions 5, the device 1 can be provided with any type of side portions 5 as long as they prevent the limiting elements from falling off the support area 4 during, for example, shaking or at an angle of the support element 2. Instead of two side portions 5, the support element 2 be provided with only one side portion 5. In such cases there is at least one side element between the support area 4 and the overlying bearing 7. Furthermore, the support element 2 may be provided with a back piece between the two side portions 5.
Instead of rollers 16 which have a width as described above and which are arranged in pairs in the support area 4, the support area can be provided with several narrow rollers which together form a roller unit of desired width which replaces each wider roller 16.
Instead of rollers 16, the support area 4 can be provided with at least one conveyor belt which extends parallel to the side portion 5 in the intended direction of the edge supports 12. Preferably, the conveyor belt has a width which substantially corresponds to or is slightly less than the width of an edge support 12. The conveyor belt may have a drive unit for driving it and a control unit for controlling the operation of the conveyor belt and its speed. In this way, the conveyor belt can be used to automatically release edge support from the support element.
Instead of the rollers 16 being arranged only at one side portion 5, rollers 16 may be arranged along or extending along the entire bearing area between the side portions 5. In the case of your rollers 16, the rollers 16 may be provided in pairs with stop means to prevent a or several unwanted edge supports 12 slide out of the support area 4, if the support area 4 is accidentally or to deliver an edge support 12 angled about an axis transverse to the longitudinal extent of the edge support. If a roller has an axial extension along the entire support area 4 between the side portions 5, the support element 2 can correspondingly be provided with stop means to prevent one or more undesired edge supports from sliding out of the support area 4, if the support area 4 accidentally or emit an edge support 12 angled about an axis transverse to the longitudinal extent of the edge support. The conveyor belt can also be arranged in a corresponding manner.
According to an alternative embodiment, the dispensing device 2 may be in the form of a conveying means, preferably a conveyor belt, which is arranged in the carrying area 4 as described above and which can be driven by means of a drive unit.
Preferably, the transport means can be controlled with a control unit for switching on and off. The transport means moves an edge support 12 in a transport direction, which edge support 12 is thus discharged from the support area 4 to a desired location on the ground. If the conveyor belt extends over the entire support area 4 between the side portions 5, the conveyor belt can be combined with stop means as above to retain other edge supports 12 on the support area 4.
Instead of a dispensing device 2 in the form of a laying device, the dispensing device 2 may be in the form of a retaining device for retaining at least a second edge support 12 when dispensing the edge support 12. Such a retaining device may comprise an elongate retaining element arranged along such a part. of at least one edge of the support area 4 between the side portions 5 that the edge supports 12 which are not in turn to be laid are prevented from sliding off from the support area 4 when the support element 2 is angled by lowering the edge along which the retaining element is arranged. Preferably, the retaining element has at least two positions: one in which it retains the limiting elements 12 on the support area 4 and one in which it does not prevent the application of limiting elements 12 to the support area 4. The retaining element can also have only one position, i.e. be fixed to the edge in such a way that the restraining elements 12 which are not in turn to be laid are kept on the support area 4 at the same time as the edge support 12 which is in turn to be laid is allowed to be delivered. Alternatively, both edges extending between the side portions 5 of the support area 4 may be provided with retaining elements of some type as above. A retaining device as above can also be combined with a conveying means as above to prevent unwanted edge supports 12 from being released from the support element 2 when the edge supports 12 are moved in a conveying direction.
Within the scope of the invention, the retaining device can also be designed in other ways as long as its basic function is fulfilled. For example, a retaining device may be in the form of a stop means for preventing one or more of the transport means 16 from moving. Alternatively, the retaining device may be in the form of a height-adjustable arm, which is arranged at the cross member 7, at one end of which arm there is a plate extending along almost the entire width of the support area 4 except the part closest to one side portion. 5 which corresponds to the width of the edge support 12 which is in turn to be delivered. Such a retaining device can be folded down during use so that the plate rests against the edge supports 12 which are not in turn to be laid. Alternatively, the plate can be arranged in two arms which are arranged at the crossbar 7. Instead of comprising one arm, such a retaining device can consist of several arms, each with a plate. In such cases, the number of arms is equal to the maximum number of edge supports 12 which are intended to be retained on the support area 4. Although the laying device 3 is described with a gripping portion in the form of a hook 8, the gripping portion can of course have other forms, if it would be preferable. For example, the gripping portion may consist of fl your hooks which are arranged next to each other, or if for some reason there are several recesses on the edge support 12, each hook may be adapted for engagement with each recess. Furthermore, if it is desired, for example if the edge support 12 is not provided with tongue and groove or other recesses, the grip portion can be modified so that it can grip, for example, the lower edge of the edge support 12. Preferably, such a gripping portion has a width which provides a sufficient support for the edge support 12. Alternatively, such a gripping portion can of course consist of several parts arranged next to each other. Although the invention according to the embodiments above is described with a stand-alone spreader 2, a device 1 according to the invention can be provided with a spreader 2 which is attached to the device, or which is detachable. If the paver 3 is attached to the device 1, it is preferably automated and provided with a drive unit and an actuating unit for driving and maneuvering the paver 3. Preferably, the operation and actuation takes place in such a way that the edge support 12 to be laid accidentally does not disturb the previously laid one. the stone from the desired position. In order for the edge supports 12 to be laid in the desired line, a person can preferably position the edge supports 12 along the desired line, if necessary or desired, after the person controlling the device 1 has placed the edge supports 12 as close to the desired location as possible. Alternatively, the device 1 may also comprise an alignment mechanism for automatically aligning the edge supports 12 along the desired line. Such an alignment mechanism can also be advantageous in connection with the device 1 being used for laying relatively heavier limiting elements.
The maneuverable arm 15 is preferably an arm of an excavator or a loader, but may be any suitable pivotable, vertical plane articulated arm which can be operated with great accuracy and which can carry the weight of the edge supports 12 or other desired type of restraint. - 10 15 20 18 element. Preferably, the arm is hydraulically driven. Preferably, the pallets 13 with edge supports 12 are arranged on a platform, such as a platform on a cart connected to the excavator.
Instead of being arranged on a pallet 13, the edge supports 12 can be arranged on some other suitable element on which the edge supports 12 can be arranged in a desired manner in horizontal rows on each other. On such an element, several horizontal rows of edge supports 12 can be arranged next to each other in the longitudinal direction of the edge supports 12.
The method according to the invention may also comprise the step of: - applying at least one longitudinally extending limiting element to the support element.
In an alternative embodiment, the method may also comprise the step of: - lateral displacement of the longitudinal limiting element in the support element.
This can be done, for example, by tilting the support element laterally, so that so that the limiting elements 12 slide along the support area 4 towards one side portion 5. Although the invention is described above based on the intended application of laying edge support 12, the device according to the invention can also be used for other forms of limiting elements intended for limiting between two areas, such as curbs of natural stone, so-called L-supports, or curbs of house foundations. In such cases, the height of the support element 2 can be adapted to these.
