According to the further development stated in claim 2, the stand has a second support element. Because the second support element is in contact with a part of the upper side of the furniture at the same time as the first support element is in contact with the underside of the furniture, the stability of the stand becomes independent of the weight of the furniture in question, especially when no one is sitting or lying in it.
Brief Description of the Drawings Further objects, advantages and features of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of the exemplary embodiment of the invention shown in the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 schematically shows an embodiment of a stand according to the present invention with equipment arranged thereon, Fig. 2 an embodiment of a part of the stand according to Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 a schematic front view of the stand according to Fig. 1 Detailed description The invention refers to a stand for placement next to furniture, e.g. sofas, armchairs, beds. The stand can be completed in many different ways to create a versatile product. As will be seen below, the stand can function as a computer holder with light source, as a floor lamp with a swivel table, etc. With the stand according to the invention, it is thus possible to e.g. use a laptop by a sofa in a safe and ergonomically advantageous way. Thus, a family can be united even if the family members are busy with different things. Additional advantages and features of the invention will become apparent from the following description and further possibilities will become apparent.
The stand according to the invention comprises a foot 1 and a post 2 connected to the foot. It further comprises a first support element 3 which in the embodiment shown consists of a rod-shaped element 4 projecting horizontally from the post, on which a displaceable load distribution element 5 can be arranged, as illustrated in Fig. 2. However, the first support element is not limited to being rod-shaped but can also be designed as a plate or the like.
In the embodiment shown, the first support element is arranged to be raised and lowered in the post 2. The height and lowerability can be achieved by a mechanism which can be of any kind and which does not in itself form any part of the present invention. In its simplest form, it can consist of a latch which is loosened manually, whereupon the first support element is manually moved to the desired position and locked to the post in that position. It can also be mechanical so that it is moved in a vertical direction with a screw and thus the support element can be clamped against a piece of furniture. The mechanism can also be electrically and / or hydraulically driven. This mechanism is then suitably arranged in a tubular post.
As a further alternative, units arranged on the post can be designed to enclose the post with a fastening part and with a clamping mechanism like a clamp can be locked in the desired position on the post as well as displaced on the post.
The post can then be solid or tubular.
According to a further embodiment, which is not shown in the attached drawing, the first support element can be connected to the foot 1. It can then be designed so that it is pushed out of the foot and pressed against the underside of the furniture. It can also be designed so that the support element 3 is mounted and adjusted from the side of the foot.
According to a further alternative design, the post can be solid, e.g. made of wood or a plastic material, with a rail arranged in a groove which is milled out of the post, which rail is used for fastening and fixing the various parts included in the frame as well as additional components.
When the stand is to be placed next to a piece of furniture, the first support element is inserted under said piece of furniture, e.g. a strut in the base of a sofa, and is brought into contact with it. When the foot 1 has a certain horizontal extent, the post is stably fixed in that the foot rests against the floor and the first support element rests against the furniture.
In Fig. 2 the first support element is shown as a rod-shaped element 4 formed with a load-distributing element 5. The load-distributing element 5 is adapted to abut against a furniture base, whereby a more gentle abutment is achieved while the risk of slipping is significantly reduced.
The load-distributing element can have any shape and, as previously mentioned, the support element can be designed as a plate which is brought into contact with a smooth underside of a piece of furniture.
If the stand is loaded in one direction from the piece of furniture and the piece of furniture is unloaded and is not in itself heavy, the stabilizing function of the first support element may be insufficient. In order to overcome this problem, the frame according to a further development of the invention has a vertically raised and lowerable second support element 6 projecting horizontally from the post. This is also connected to a raising and lowering mechanism of the corresponding arrangement arranged in the post. as the first support element. To further improve the stability of the stand, the second support element is moved downwards towards a piece of furniture, e.g. against the armrests of a sofa, against the upper part of a bed or equivalent. By designing the second support element as a plate, it can then also be used as e.g. a tray or table at the same time as it reduces the risk of a lasting impact on the furniture in question through the widespread contact surface.
With the first and second support elements in contact with a piece of furniture or an object from below or above, the stand is stabilized so that it can be safely used for all kinds of tasks.
In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the stand is further provided with an arm 7 on which sits a, possibly rotatable, table 8. In order to optimize the table's function as a computer table, it is advantageously also tiltable. This arm is also attached to the post 2 and can be designed to be pivotable and height-adjustable. An electric motor, counterweight mechanics, hydraulics, or a telescopic pole can be used to raise and lower the ELIITIGH.
To reduce the risk of the stand tipping due to overload, but also to reduce the impact on the furniture in question, vibration limiters can be provided for this arm.
It can e.g. it may be appropriate to limit the pivotal movement of the arm to 180 °, where 90 ° means that the arm is pivoted towards the furniture in question.
Furthermore, in the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing, a light source 9 is arranged at the upper end of the post. The power supply to the light source may be arranged in the post or an electrical wire may be drawn inside the post.
The possibilities of using the stand in different environments are in principle unlimited and the embodiment shown in the drawing is only an example suitable for illustrating the invention.
