The example of the invention shown in the drawings is the mounting of grinding wheels for grinding floors on a corresponding grinding machine. As shown in fig. 3, the grinding wheels 1 have a central recess 2 in the form of a cross with short wide and equally long arms 3 which also have rounded corners. The angles 4 between the arms are also rounded. The grinding wheel is further provided with 6 for grinding coatings or blocks 5 as well as through holes for grinder transport.
The disc holder or tool holder 7 which is mounted on the shaft 8 of the grinder has the outermost, ie. in the direction of what is to be ground a recess of a grinding wheel corresponding to the contour with axial recesses or grooves 9 corresponding to the angles 4 between the "arms". These recesses merge after a short distance in the direction of the machine axis into lateral peripheral recesses or grooves 10 into which the inwardly directed angles 4 of the disc can be turned. The direction of the lateral recesses is towards the direction of rotation of the disc during grinding so that the disc projections are in contact with the inner ends 1 of the lateral recesses 10.
Adjacent to the peripheral lateral recesses in the disc holder is arranged a circumferential groove 12 for an O-ring, which groove has a slight overlap with the lateral recesses 10 so that when the protrusion of the grinding wheel protrusion is turned, the O-ring is compressed.
As a result, the grinding wheel, when mounted, will be held in place by friction. Between the lateral recesses and the groove for the O-ring there is a small cantilever 14 for holding the O-ring in place when no disc is mounted.
The O-ring not only serves as a locking for the disc but also allows a certain flability for the disc both in the axial direction and for inclination. This partly reduces the stresses on both the disc and the machine and also reduces the risk of unevenness in the sanded surface.
By making the recess in the disc symmetrical in such a way that the contour remains the same if viewed from one or the other side, the disc can be mounted on disc holders which have the recesses 10 directed laterally both to the left and to the right. In addition, the opening in the disc can be made quickly and cheaply by punching. The recess can be punched out of the grinding wheel itself and no separate bracket needs to be riveted to the board. If you want, you can also, if desired, make the grinding wheels two-sided with the same profile for the recess in the board. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the number of projections on the disc is four, but it is conceivable that both three and såväls are more than four.
Not only is the disc easy to manufacture but also the bracket on the machine shaft can be manufactured relatively easily by the fact that machining only needs to take place on the outside.
If more flexibility is desired than that provided by the O-ring, an additional O-ring can be mounted between the disc holder and the drive shaft in a concentric groove 15 in the ends of either the disc holder or the drive shaft facing each other.
If deemed necessary, the disc holder can be provided with an additional locking which prevents the disc from being removed. This reading can be a snap-locked disc which is rotated to the correct position to release the axial recesses in the disc holder.
To facilitate the mounting of the disc, the recesses 10 can be laterally bevelled 16 in connection with the axial recesses. Likewise, the recesses laterally in the disc holder may have inclined or curved inner ends ll, for example, sub-cylinder surfaces (which can be obtained by the tool when milling or grinding the recess) in order to facilitate the power transmission and provide a slight wedging at the transmission surfaces.
The invention enables a quick and easy-to-handle replacement without tools, especially for floor grinders without having to provide special left- and right-rotating discs without the same discs can be used but with different directional recesses 10. The invention can also be used with other types of grinders, angle cutters, saw blades etc. Because the recess in the disc can be punched out and the recesses in the disc holder only need to be machined on the outside, the production can be made very rational.
