A device for filtering bersus suspensions, comprising a vessel (1) with inlet (2) for the suspension. Arranged in the vessel is a rotatable shaft (5) with peripheral channels (7) and at least one disc-shaped filter element (8) oriented at an angle to the rotatable shaft (5). The filter element has an alternating cladding (10) and inner fate channels for transporting that through-cladding passed filtered to one or more channels (7) in the inner rotating shaft (5). The liquid flow in the channels (7) is combined at one end of the rotating shaft (5) into at least one barometric downcomer (12) for generating the vacuum necessary for the filtration. Means (13) are provided for detaching the filter lining (10) deposited, filtered material removed from the suspension. Furthermore, there are means (14) which are movable by means of a drive means (15), prewash of the filter cover (10) and dilution and removal of the filtered material down into at least one receiver shaft (16). Detachment means (13), washing means (14) and receiver shaft (16) are arranged next to the filter element (8). Location and the use function of washing device 14 withusing the washing function of washing the discs 10and contribute to the removal of the removed carrier materialthrough compartment 16 down to the collecting transport screw 17 provides a safefunction when filtering lightly dewatered fi bers suspensions. These improvements provide overall high capacity, high dry matter contentremoved the filtered material and enables filtration of easily dewateredfi bersus pensions without prior dilution.

Claims (6) [1] Device for filtering bersus suspensions, comprising a vessel (1) with inlet (2) for the suspension, a rotatable shaft (5) arranged in the vessel (1) with peripheral channels (7) and at least one disc-shaped filter element (8), which exhibits filter sectors (9) oriented at an angle to the geometric axis of the rotatable shaft (5), the filter element having an outer filter cladding (10) and inner channel channels for conveying the filter passing through the cladding to one or 7 filter channels (7) the inner rotating shaft, means (13) for releasing the filter material deposited on the filter casing (10), the filter material removed from the suspension and means (14) for washing the filter casing (10) and removing the filter material down into at least one receiving shaft; (16), characterized in that the filtered material removed on the filter sectors (9) is flushed down into the receiver shaft (16) and thus the filtered material is diluted to the desired concentration by means of liquid a given from the washing means (14). [2] Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the receiving shaft (16) is arranged at the side of the vessel (1) where the filter sectors (9) begin to be immersed in the suspension. [3] Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the inlet device (2) is arranged at the side of the vessel (1) where the filter sectors (9) begin to be immersed in the suspension, [4] Device according to claim 1, characterized in that means (13) for loosening the filtered material are part of and follow the same oscillating movement as washing means (14). [5] Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the inlet device (2) is designed as a closed vessel. [6] Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the inlet device (2) distributes the input suspension in between the rotating filter elements (8) and the receiving shaft (16) and in the same direction as the direction of movement of rotating filter elements (8).
