BRIEF DESCRIPTION Housing for a bicycle DESCRIPTION The invention relates to a housing for a bicycle. The present invention has for its object to provide a housing for bicycles which can completely enclose the bicycle in question and thereby takes up little space. Such a housing can for instance form part of a system with a plurality of such housings whereby the bicycles can be accommodated in that system without the bicycles being able to collide with the handlebars and pedals. Furthermore, the housing offers excellent protection against environmental influences and against damage and theft. According to the invention, there is provided a housing for a bicycle adapted to substantially completely enclose the bicycle in a state in which the front wheel of the bicycle is placed substantially transversely of the horizontal longitudinal direction of the bicycle, the housing of two substantially comprises vertical side walls, the main directions of which, viewed in the horizontal plane, run non-parallel to each other, so that the housing has a wide part and a narrow part, the dimensions of the wide part being such that there transverse front wheel is provided, while the dimensions of the narrow part are such that there, on the contrary, sufficient space is provided by the housing to the rear part of the bicycle. The combination of the transverse positioning of the front wheel and the use of a housing with the indicated shape and dimensions ensures space-efficient storage of bicycles. The housing 1 comprises two substantially vertical side walls 5 whose main directions, viewed in the horizontal plane, run non-parallel to each other, but at an acute angle α, so that the housing has a wide portion 6 and a narrow portion 7, the dimensions of the wide portion 6 are such that there is just enough space provided by the housing 1 for the transverse front wheel 3, while the dimensions of the narrow portion 7 are such that there is just enough space at the rear portion 8 of the rear portion 8 by the housing the bicycle 2 is offered.
