Private exchange with multimedia service
The present invention relates to a private exchange, and more particularly, to a private exchange capable of integrating voice and data communications.
Today, competition is fierce by who can get information more easily and quickly enough to be called an information society. Therefore, efforts to simplify and simplify the use of a network for obtaining information have been made at various angles.
On the other hand, the network structure commonly used today can be largely divided into a voice communication network and a data communication network. A representative example of the voice communication network is a public switched telephone network (PSTN), and a representative example of the data communication network is a packet switched network (PSDN).
The voice communication network and the data communication network have been conventionally implemented in separate configurations, and have been performed by different procedures in the service itself. The same was true of private exchanges used in apartments and large buildings.
An example thereof is as shown in FIG. 1. Referring to FIG. 1, it can be seen that a configuration for servicing voice communication and a configuration for data communication exist separately to receive voice communication and data communication.
That is, in order to service voice communication, a private switching system (hereinafter referred to as "PABX") 110 is provided to accommodate terminals 112 to 116 such as telephones that support voice communication and connect to the PSTN 130. have. In addition, in order to service data communication, a local area network (LAN) 120 is provided separately from the PABX 110 to accommodate terminals 122 to 126 such as computers that support data communication, and are connected to the PSDN 140. .
In other words, even when used by the same interest group as one office, voice communication and data communication services are separated, and each device has to be provided to receive both services.
Therefore, in the related art, mutual services are inevitably limited, and in order to receive all services, there is a problem that is possible only through investment in equipment.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention for solving the above problems is to provide a private exchange that services by integrating voice and data communication services.
The present invention for achieving the above object is a voice user interface for interfacing a voice terminal, a data user interface for interfacing a data terminal, a time switch for switching the voice applied from the voice user interface, and the data A packet switch for switching data applied from the user interface unit, the packet switch being connected to the voice user interface unit to switch the voice provided from the voice user interface unit, and the voice and public switched telephone network provided by the switching of the time switch. The public switched telephone network interface unit for interfacing the voice received from the network, and the data provided by the switching of the packet switch and the data received from the packet switching network, the switching of the packet switch To the private branch exchange is implemented, the multimedia service-part packet switching network interface to transmit to said packet-switching network and packetized voice can be provided.
1 is a diagram showing a typical network configuration by a voice network and a data network.
2 is a diagram illustrating a network configuration in which a voice network and a data network are integrated and supported according to an embodiment of the present invention.
3 is a diagram illustrating a configuration of a private exchange in which a voice network and a data network are integrated and supported according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Hereinafter, described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings according to an embodiment of the present invention.
First, a network configuration in which a voice network and a data network are integrated and supported according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 2.
Referring to FIG. 2, the terminals 211 to 213 serving as voice communication from one PABX 210 to the subscriber side and the terminals 215 to 217 serving as a data communication are connected. In addition, the network side has a configuration in which the PSTN 220 which is a network supporting voice communication and the PSDN 230 which is a network supporting data communication are connected. That is, the PABX 210 should be configured to service voice and data separately.
Accordingly, the PABX 210 converts the voice received from the voice communication terminals 211 to 213 into the PSTN 220 or converts the voice into a packet form when voice over IP (VoIP) is used over the Internet protocol. Switch to PSDN 230. In addition, data received from the data communication terminals 215 to 217 switches to the PSDN 230, and data received from the PSDN 230 switches to the data communication terminals 215 to 217.
FIG. 3 illustrates a configuration of a private exchange in which the voice network and the data network described in FIG. 2 are integrated and supported.
Referring to FIG. 3, the voice user interface 310 interfaces voice between the voice terminals 211 to 213 and the time switch 314 or the packet switch 316.
The data user interface unit 312 interfaces data between the data terminals 215 to 217 and the packet switch 316.
The time switch 314 switches the voice applied from the voice user interface 310 to the PSTN interface 318 or the voice applied from the PSTN interface 318 to the voice user interface 310. Switch.
The packet switch 316 switches data applied from the data user interface unit 312 to the PSDN interface unit 320 or transfers data applied from the PSDN interface unit 320 to the data user interface unit 312. Switch. In addition, the packet switch 316 receives a voice requesting VoIP from the voice user interface 310 and switches to the PSDN interface 320.
The PSTN interface unit 318 transmits a voice signal applied from the time switch 314 to the PSTN 220, and provides a voice signal applied from the PSTN 220 to the time switch 314.
The PSDN interface unit 320 transmits data applied from the packet switch 316 to the PSDN 230, and provides data applied from the PSDN 230 to the packet switch 316. When the voice requesting VoIP is applied from the packet switch 316, the voice is compressed, packetized, and provided by the H.323 protocol that matches the data network.
Referring to the configuration described above in detail the operation according to an embodiment of the present invention.
First, when a request for a voice call is generated from the voice terminals 211 to 213, the voice user interface 310 detecting the voice call forms a channel with the time switch 314. In addition, the time switch 314 selects a line available through the PSTN interface unit 318 and performs a switching operation so that the selected line is connected to the channel. The line is a line connecting the PABX 210 and the PSTN 220 and may be implemented as a plurality of lines. As the channel and the selected line are connected, when a path for voice communication is formed, the user calls the other party to make a call to perform a voice call.
On the other hand, when a data communication request from the data terminals 215 to 217 occurs, it is sensed by the data user interface unit 312. The detected data user interface 312 is connected to the PSDN 230 via the PSDN interface 320 by a switching operation of the packet switch 316. When the connection is made, the user accesses the PSDN 230 using the data terminals 215 to 217. Access to the PSDN 230 means that a multimedia service can be provided from an internet service provider, a security company, a hospital, and the like, which can be accessed using data communication.
First, in the video call service, when a user wants to make a video call using the data terminals 215 to 217, the user's voice is switched through the time switch 314, and the video data is transmitted through the packet switch 316. Is switched. The voice and image data switched by the switches are transmitted to the counterpart through the PSDN interface unit 320. In addition, the user can use the video terminal as a video door phone through a camera mounted on the terminal in addition to the call between the users.
Secondly, the telemedicine service allows the user to establish a connection with a hospital via a data network. In this case, an image terminal capable of viewing image data also exists in a hospital, and the image terminal should be able to transmit and receive images. The doctor can perform a checkup by receiving a signal transmitted from a camera mounted on the user's video terminal via the hospital's video terminal. At this time, the audio data is connected via a data network like the image data.
Third, the Internet service is equipped with a data port capable of accessing the Internet on the user's video terminal, and the user connects the port to the Internet terminal to the video terminals 215 to 217, the data user interface 312, and the packet switch ( 316, the PSDN interface unit 320 is connected to the PSDN 230. In addition, the PSDN 230 is connected to an Internet provider to provide a path for the Internet service to the user to enable Internet access.
Fourthly, the remote monitoring, security, and security function services of the user's video terminal (215 to 217) is connected to the security company through the PSDN 230, can perform the security work through the video terminal (215 to 217). have. In addition, the user is always connected to the security company, so in the case of an emergency situation can require immediate action.
Finally, in the VoIP service, each user's voice is basically transmitted to the existing communication network through the PSTN 220, but if necessary, the voice can be transmitted on the IP network through the PSDN 230. In order to provide such a function, the PSDN interface unit 320 compresses the user's voice, packetizes it, and transmits the packet by using the H.323 protocol that matches the PSDN 230.
As described above, the present invention is economical as it is integrated with a network device such as a hub for data service, a hub for data service, a router, and a security system for security, a gateway system for VoIP, and the like. There is an effect that can provide a more convenient multimedia service.
