Bulb for automobile lamp
The present invention relates to a bulb for a motor vehicle lamp, comprising a body having a housing providing at least one compartment for housing an electronic card on which is mounted at least one light emitting diode, and a tip, connected to said housing, said tip being arranged to define a base adapted to cooperate with a socket for a bulb type "TIO glass base (wedge base)", said bulb also comprising means for electrical connection of said light emitting diode with the electrical circuit of said lamp.
Due to the low power consumption of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), their long lifetime and their advantageous properties in terms of electrical safety, it is now recommended to use, instead of temporary bulbs, for example of the filament or halogen type, including in the field of motor vehicle lamps, "LED bulbs". Conventionally, the latter have a structure in which at least one electronic card, on which is welded at least one light-emitting diode, is encapsulated inside a container for example plastic, or glass, extended by a part end or a cap forming tip able to cooperate with a socket. Thus, there are currently on the market many models of LED bulbs differing from each other not only by the shape of the container, the t3φe material used to manufacture it, or its color, but also by the shape of the intended end part compatible with the different formats of existing traditional lampholders or lamp holders.
Thus, in the field of bulbs for motor vehicle lamps, such as in particular a pilot light, a ceiling lamp, a door lamp, etc., more particularly targeted by the present invention, there are also to date many products to LED base that can be substituted for traditional bulbs. These products are generally composed of several pieces of plastic material supporting one or more printed circuits, while the electrical connection of Wdes LED is made by means of metal pins welded to the printed circuit boards and folded around a terminal part x defining a base .
The object of the present invention is to propose a new LED bulb suitable for being substituted for a conventional "T10 baseball" type bulb, which is of simpler structure than the similar products offered for sale at present, so that to reduce the production costs, which is particularly robust, and which also makes it possible to make an electrical connection "lamp clamp" with greater flexibility. For this purpose, the invention relates to a bulb for a motor vehicle lamp of the type indicated in the preamble, characterized in that said body and said electrical connection means are defined by independent parts coupled and comprise complementary interlocking means.
According to a preferred embodiment, said body is made in one piece of a plastic material.
Furthermore, the ampoule according to the invention is further characterized in that said housing comprises a bottom whose underside is extended by said tip and the upper face is bordered by at least two opposite side walls, extending in a plane. perpendicular to the plane of insertion of said tip into the socket, and between which said electronic card extends parallel to said bottom, while said electrical connection means comprise two identical metal members formed from a plujuc of metal cut and folded , each having an upper part provided with holding arms in position and connecting arms intended to be engaged through complementary orifices that each side wall of said housing comprises for respectively locking in position on said body and coming into contact with said electronic card, each metal member further having a portion i lower, having an eonnection blade whose structure is arranged to match at least part of said tip.
Furthermore, the orifices through which the connecting arms and the holding arms in position are intended to be engaged, are preferably distributed in an area where each side wall has im recess on its outer face.
Another feature of the invention is further defined by the fact that said connecting arms and said holding arms in position of each metal member are extended by a rear face, perpendicular to the plane in which they extend, connecting them to said connection blade, and adapted to be housed in said recess when said metal member and said body are coupled. The invention also provides that the bottom of said housing comprises two grooves each opening to a longitudinal slot formed in each of said side walls, each of said grooves being arranged to accommodate and guide in translation a positioning tab that comprises each metal member.
Moreover, according to a preferred embodiment of said bulb, said housing comprises at least one pair of grooves formed vis-à-vis one of the other on the inner face of each side wall to accommodate the opposite edges at least one electronic card.
Another feature of the invention is further defined by the fact that said housing comprises an upper wall surmounting the two side walls of said housing, and arranged, where appropriate, to define or accommodate a means of distribution to different directions of the light radiation emitted by the LED.
The present invention further provides that said body is at least partially made of a transpai-ent, tinted, or diffusing plastic material.
In addition, the invention is also characterized in that said housing may comprise an electronic control card for said LED. Other features and advantages of the invention will emerge from the following detailed description relating to an exemplary embodiment of the invention. connection device, given only as an indication and not limitation.
The understanding of this description will be made easier by reference to the accompanying drawings, in which; FIG. 1 corresponds to an exploded perspective view of a bulb according to the invention, and FIG. 2 corresponds to a perspective view of the bulb of FIG. 1.
The present invention relates to an LED bulb 1 for a motor vehicle lamp, such as for example a ceiling lamp or a night light, etc., conventionally having a type of lamp type "TIO glass base (wedge base)". With reference to the figures, and according to the invention, such an ampoule 1 comprises a body 2, preferably made in one piece of a suitable plastic material, at least partially transparent, tinted, or diffusing, depending on the type of desired lighting. The body 2 has a housing 3 divided into a first and a second superimposed compartments 3a, 3b. These are respectively able to accommodate an electronic card 4a on which is mounted a light emitting diode (LED) 5 (upper compartment 3a), and an electronic card 4b for driving the LED 5 (lower compartment 3b). The body 2 of the bulb 1 further comprises a tip 6, located in the extension of the lower compartment 3b, and configured to define a base adapted to cooperate with a socket for type of bulb "TIO glass base (wedge base)". Furthermore, the bulb 1 comprises a pair of identical metal members 7 for ensuring the electrical connection of said LED 5, and adapted to be fitted on the body 2 and the electronic cards 4a, 4b, as will be described more in details below.
In fact, according to the invention, the housing 3 of the body 2 comprises a bottom 30 whose underside 31 is extended by the end piece 6 and the upper face is bordered by two opposite side walls 33. The latter extend into a plane perpendicular to the plane of insertion of the end piece 6 in a socket for a type of bulb "TIO glass base (wedge base)", and are overcome, in the embodiment shown, by an upper wall 34 of curved shape having a central opening 35 adapted to accommodate, if necessary, a means of distribution to different directions of the light radiation emitted by the LED 5. The housing further comprises an intermediate wall 36 parallel to the bottom 30, extending between the latter and the upper wall 35. Thus, the upper compartment 3a is delimited by the upper wall 35, the intermediate wall 36 and the two side walls 33, while the lower compartment 3b is delimited by the intermediate wall 36, the two side walls 33 and the bottom 30. Furthermore, each compartment 3a, 3b has a pair of grooves 37a, 37b formed vis-à-vis one another if the inner face of each side wall 33 to accommodate and support the opposite edges of the respective electronic cards 4a, 4b.
As illustrated in the figures, the tip 6 has a substantially Y-shaped section whose rectilinear branch comprises two opposite faces 60a, 60b symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tip 6. In fact, each face 60a, 60b comprises a central band 61 in relief with respect to two end zones 62, 63 bordering it. The end zone 62 has a flat surface, while the end zone 63 has a notch 64 of axis parallel to the bottom 30 of the housing 3 adapted to cooperate with electrical connection elements which is provided in a conventional manner a socket of type "TIO glass base (wedge base)" when the bulb 1 and said socket are nested.
Furthermore, according to the invention, each metal member 7 is formed from a metal plate cut and folded so as to have an upper portion provided with holding arms in position 70 and connecting arms 71, 72 intended to be engaged respectively through complementary orifices 8, 9, 10, which each side wall 33 of the housing 3 comprises and which are preferentially distributed in an area where each side wall has a recess 11 on its outer face. Each metal member 7 further has a lower portion, having a connecting blade 73 whose structure is arranged to fit at least a part of the tip 6 and more specifically, to rest against the end area 62 with a flat surface of one of its faces 60a, 60b. In addition, the structure of each metal member 7 is provided such that the connecting arms 71, 72 and the holding arms in position 70 are extended by a rear face, perpendicular to the plane in which they extend, connecting them to the connecting blade 73, and adapted to be housed in the recess 11 when the metal member 7 and the body 2 are coupled. Each metal member 7 also has a positioning tab 75 adapted to be accommodated and guided in translation in a groove 12 of corresponding shape opening on a longitudinal slot 13 formed in one of said side walls 33 of the housing 3.
As is clear from the foregoing, the bulb 1 according to the invention has a structure that is both very simple, compact and robust, without prominent elements, which is based on a simple interlocking of a few independent parts monobloc devoid of zones fragility that can have a negative impact on their life. More particularly, the assembly of the various constituent parts of the bulb 1 according to the invention is very quick to realize since it simply consists in inserting the edges of the electronic card (s) 4a, 4b into the corresponding grooves 37a, 37b, by providing for positioning the electronic card 4a carrying the LED 5 in the upper compartment 3a, so that the LED 5 is located vis-à-vis the upper wall 34 of the housing 3, then to fit the two metal members 7 on the body 2.
As mentioned above, this last step consists, for each connecting member 7, to introduce the holding arms in position 70 and the connecting arms 71, 72 in the orifices 8, 9, 10 while the positioning tab 75 is slid into the corresponding groove 12, before pushing the assembly towards the compartments 3a, 3b until the rear face 74 of the metal member 7 rests in a recess 11 of a side wall 33 of the housing 3. The correct positioning of a metal member 7 is facilitated by the cooperation between the positioning tab 75 and the groove 12. Once in position, each metal member 7 remains clipped on the body 2 by means of its retaining tabs. position 70, while the electrical connection between the electrical circuit of the lamp receiving the bulb 1 and the electronic cards 4a, 4b is achieved through the connection arms 71, 72 which define tagously connecting areas by elastic contact with one or other of the electronic cards 4a, 4b, requiring no weld point may break over time.
Moreover, each metal member 7 is designed so as to also allow the electrical connection between the two electronic cards 4a, 4b, in the case of an electronic control of the LED 5, as in the illustrated embodiment, without requiring additional specific connection means. Zones 14 for separating by electric bridge breaks (dishing) are also provided to perform the various control modes that can be envisaged (resistive with the electronic card 4a carrying the LED 5 alone, or electronic when the electronic card 4a carrying the LED 5 is coupled to an electronic card 4b carrying an electronic control of the T .ED 5).
Thus, the goals set by the present invention are achieved and the bulb 1 which has just been described is both simplified manufacturing and therefore low cost, easy to use and improved life, while offering the possibility of providing different types of lighting in accordance with the range conventionally proposed on the market in the same field.

Bulb (1) for a motor vehicle lamp, comprising a body (2) having a housing (3) providing at least one compartment (3a, 3b) for housing an electronic card (4a, 4b) on which is mounted at least a light emitting diode (5), and a tip (6), connected to said housing (3), said tip (6) being arranged to define a base adapted to cooperate with a socket for type of bulb "TIO glass base (wedge base) Said bulb (1) also comprising means for electrically connecting said light-emitting diode (5) with the electrical circuit of said lamp, characterized in that said body (2) and said electrical connection means are defined by independent pieces coupled and comprise complementary interlocking means.

Bulb (1) according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that said housing (3) comprises a bottom (30) whose underside (31) is extended by said endpiece (6) and the face upper portion (32) is bordered by at least two opposite side walls (33), extending in a plane perpendicular to the insertion plane of said tip (6) in a socket, and between which said electronic card (4a, 4b) is extends parallel to said bottom (30), while said electrical connection means comprise two identical metal members (7), formed from a cut and folded metal plate, each having an upper portion provided with holding arms in position (70) and connecting arms (71, 72) intended to be engaged through complementary orifices (8, 9, 10) that each lateral wall (33) of said housing (3) comprises for respectively locking in position on said body (2) and come to contact of said electronic card (4a, 4b), each metal member (7) further having a lower portion, having a connecting blade (73) whose structure is arranged to fit at least a portion of said tip (6).
