Cladding assembly comprising a display device and a vehicle comprising such a cladding assembly
The present invention relates to a vehicle trim assembly, particularly for a motor vehicle, the trim assembly comprising a display device.
Most motor vehicles are now provided with a display device for example to display information on vehicle functions, and also to control functions of the vehicle, if the display device is provided with a screen Touch display. FR2807978A1 discloses a motor vehicle dashboard having a display device movable vertically between a first stable position, wherein the display device is partially retracted into a housing and a second stable position in which the display device is deployed out of the housing, only a first display area being visible in the first position, the first display area and a second display area being visible in the second position. US2009 / 0066474A1 discloses a dashboard of a motor vehicle provided with a display device movable longitudinally between a first position, in which the display device is remote from an operator, and a second position, in which the device of display is close to an operator.
One of the aims of the invention is to provide a vehicle trim assembly comprising a display device, the trim assembly being aesthetic and ergonomic. For this purpose, the invention according to a first aspect proposes a vehicle trim assembly comprising a trim and a display device having a display screen having a first display area and a second display area, the display device being movable relative to the casing between a first stable position, wherein the first display area is visible and the second display area is obscured by the casing, and a second stable position, wherein the first display area and the second display area are both visible, wherein the second stable position is shifted with respect to the first stable position in a first direction perpendicular to the display screen in the first position , in the direction in which the display screen is rotated. The covering assembly may further comprise one or more of the following features, considered individually or in any technically possible combination: in the first stable position, the display screen is flush with an apparent surface of the panel; dressing, and in the second stable position, the display screen protrudes from the apparent surface; the apparent surface comprises two regions situated on either side of the display screen; - The second position is further offset from the first position in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; - Dressing includes a housing, the display device being received in the housing in the first position, and located out of the housing in the second position; the housing has an opening, the first display area coinciding with the opening and being visible through the opening when the display device is in the first position; - The opening has dimensions smaller than those of the display screen, the display device passing through the opening to move from the first position to the second position; the display device is mounted on the casing to move from the first position to the second position by pivoting so that the display screen is inclined with respect to the opening, passing through the opening then pivoting to at least partially straighten the display screen; - Dressing includes a still blocking portion masking the second display area in the first position of the display device, the display device moving between the first position and the second position so as to bypass said blocking portion; and - the trim is a dashboard.
According to a second aspect, the invention relates to a vehicle comprising a dressing assembly having the above characteristics. The invention and its advantages will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example, and with reference to the appended drawings, in which; - Figures 1 and 2 are schematic views of a motor vehicle trim assembly comprising a movable display device, the display device being shown in a first stable position and in a second stable position respectively in FIG. 1 and in Figure 2; - Figures 3 to 5 are schematic sectional views of the dressing assembly, illustrating the display device respectively in the first stable position, an intermediate position and the second stable position; and - Figure 6 is a schematic sectional view illustrating a displacement mechanism configured to move the display device.
Figures 1 and 2 illustrate a front portion of the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle equipped with a steering wheel 1 for steering the vehicle and a trim assembly 2 comprising a dashboard 4 and a display device 6 integrated in the dashboard 4.
In the remainder of the description, the terms "forward", "backward", "up" and "down", "left" and "right", "longitudinal", "transverse" and "vertical" mean by reference to the usual orientations of vehicles.
The dashboard 4 extends substantially horizontally and transversely across the width of the front part of the passenger compartment. The display device 6 is disposed on the dashboard 4 substantially in the middle in the transverse direction of the motor vehicle.
The display device 6 comprises a display screen 8. The display screen 8 is configured to generate images. The display screen 8 is an electroluminescent screen, for example a light emitting diode (or LED, or TFT) screen. The display screen 8 comprises a matrix of pixels.
Preferably, the display screen 8 is a touch screen. The display screen 8 allows a user to interact with the display device 6 by touching the display screen 8, for example to control functions of the vehicle through the display screen 8. Thus, the display device 6 forms a human-machine interface. The display screen 8 has a first display area 10 (Figures 1 and 2) and a second display area 12 (Figure 2).
In the illustrated example, the first display area 10 is here above the second display area 12 on the display screen 8. The first display area 10 and the second display area 12 are separated by a separation line L. The separation line L is substantially horizontal.
The display device 6 is movably mounted relative to the dashboard 2 between a first stable position (Figure 1), in which only the first display area 10 is visible by a user, the second display area 12 being masked by the dashboard 4, and a second stable position (Figure 2), wherein the first display area 10 and the second display area 12 are both visible to a user. The user is in particular the driver of the vehicle.
Figures 3 to 5 illustrate the display device respectively in the first stable position, an intermediate position and the second stable position.
In the first stable position (Figure 3), the display screen 8 is substantially perpendicular to a first direction D1. The first direction D1 is normal to the display screen 8. The display screen 8 is turned towards a user, for example the driver.
The second stable position (FIG. 5) is offset with respect to the first stable position along the first direction D1, in the direction in which the display screen 8 is turned. Thus, in the second stable position, the screen 8 is closer to the user compared to the first stable position.
As illustrated, in the first position of the display device 6, the display screen 8 is slightly inclined upwardly with respect to the vertical. The display screen 8 is thus turned towards the rear and upwards. The first direction D1 is slightly inclined relative to the horizontal.
In the illustrated embodiment, the second stable position is also offset with respect to the first stable position along a second direction D2 perpendicular to the first direction D1.
The second direction D2 here extends substantially parallel to the display screen 8, from a lower edge to an upper edge of the display screen 8.
The second direction D2 is slightly inclined relative to the vertical. Between the first position and the second position, the display device 6 is shifted vertically upwards. Thus, in the second position, the display screen 8 is higher than in the first position.
Returning to Figures 1 and 2, in the first position, the display device 6 is retracted at least partially in the dashboard 4, and in the second position, the display device is deployed out of the dashboard 4.
In the first position, the display screen 8 is flush with an apparent surface 14 of the dashboard 4, and in the second position, the display screen 8 is projecting with respect to the apparent surface 14.
In the first position of the display device 6, the display screen 8 and the apparent surface 14 visually ensure a surface continuity, which is favorable to the aesthetic appearance. In the second position of the display device 6, the display screen 8 is positioned projecting relative to the apparent surface 14 in a more ergonomic position for the user, being in particular close to the user.
The apparent surface 14 here comprises two lateral regions 16 located laterally on either side of the display screen 8. The two lateral regions 16 enclose the display screen 8. The apparent surface 14 is flush with the display screen. display 8 on only the two side edges of the display screen 8.
The apparent surface 14 can be flush with the display screen 8 on other edges of the display screen 8. In a variant, the apparent surface 14 is flush with the display screen 8 on the lower edge and / or the upper edge.
In general, the apparent surface 14 is flush with the display screen 8 on at least one edge of the display screen 8, in particular on exactly one edge, two edges or three edges.
In the illustrated embodiment, the apparent surface 14 has the shape of a substantially horizontal strip in which the display screen 8 is integrated in the first position of the display device 6.
In the first position of the display device 6, the second display area 12 is masked by an obscuration portion 18 of the dashboard 4. The concealment portion 18 is here behind the display screen 8.
In the second position of the display device, the second display area 12 is moved relative to the obscuration portion 18 so as to be visible.
Preferably, the concealment portion 18 is a stationary portion of the dashboard 4. The concealment portion 18 does not move, particularly when the display device 6 is moved between the first stable position and the second stable position.
As illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 5, during the displacement of the display device 6, the second display area 12 bypasses the occulting portion 18 in order to become visible. The second display zone 12 passes here above the occulting portion 18.
The dashboard 4 comprises a housing 20 for receiving the display device 6, the display device 6 being received in the housing 20 when it is in the first stable position and at least partially located outside the housing 20 when he is in the second stable position.
The housing 20 has an opening 22 through which only the first area 10 is visible when the display device 6 in the first stable position. The housing 20 is delimited inside the dashboard 4 and opens out through the opening 22.
In the first position of the display device 6, the first display area 10 is in the opening 22 and is thus visible, and the second display area 12 is offset with respect to the opening 22 is n '. is not visible. The opening 22 coincides with the first display area 10. The opening 22 has dimensions that are strictly smaller than those of the display screen 8 as a whole, including the first display area 10 and the second display area. 12 display.
In the illustrated embodiment, in the first position (Figure 3), the display device is located entirely on one side of the opening 22, and in the second position (Figure 5), the display device 6 extends at least partially on the other side of the opening 22, here entirely on the other side of the opening.
As illustrated in Figure 1, the aperture 22 has a closed contour. This allows the display device to appear fully integrated into the dashboard when in the first stable position.
The apparent surface 14 delimits two lateral edges of the opening 22. The concealment portion 18 delimits a lower edge of the opening 22. The dashboard 4 comprises a bead 23 delimiting an upper edge of the opening 22.
In FIGS. 3 to 5, during its displacement from the first position to the second position, the display device 6 leaves the housing 20 through the opening 22.
To do this, the display device 6 is mounted on the dashboard 4 so as to move from the first position to the second position by pivoting to tilt the display screen 8 with respect to the opening 22, passing in inclined position through the opening 22, then pivoting to at least partially straighten the display screen 8.
Thus, despite the dimensions of the display screen 8 greater than that of the opening 22, the display device 6 can pass through the opening 22. Such a movement of the display device 6 is called the "Swaying".
In FIG. 4, the display device 6 is shown in the inclined intermediate position allowing passage through the opening 22.
The display device 6 and mounted on the dashboard 4 by means of a displacement mechanism configured to perform the swaying movement. An embodiment of a displacement mechanism 24 is shown in FIG.
The displacement mechanism 24 here comprises a first guide assembly 26 and a second guide assembly 28 each comprising a slide 26A, 26B integral with one of the dashboard 4 and the display device 6, and a rail 28A 28B secured to the other of the dashboard 4 and the display device 6, the slide 26A, 26B sliding along the corresponding rail 28A, 28B.
The rails 28A, 28B of the first guide assembly 26 and the second guide assembly 28 extend in such a way that the displacement of the slides 26A, 28A along the rails 28A, 28B causes the inclination, the translation and then the recovery of the display device 6, allowing it to pass through the opening 20.
The slide 26A, 28A are shown in dashed lines in a position corresponding to the inclined intermediate position of the display device 6. Other displacement mechanisms making it possible to perform a swaying movement can be envisaged, for example a displacement mechanism comprising connecting rods driven in rotation.
The displacement of the display device 6 is controlled manually or by an actuator.
In FIG. 6, an actuator is provided in the form of a jack 30. The jack is arranged to push the display device 6. During the movement caused by the jack 30, the movement mechanism 24 forces the device 6 display to follow the swaying movement, and thus causes the inclination and recovery of the display device 6.
In one embodiment, the display device 6 is configured such that only the first display area 10 is active when the display device 6 is in the first stable position, the second display area 12 being inactive, and that the first display area and the second display area are both active when the display device 6 is in the second stable position.
An active display area generates light, and an inactive display area does not generate light. The second inactive display area in the first position of the display device 6 saves energy.
On the other hand, in one embodiment in which the display screen 8 is touch sensitive, the interaction detection with a user with the display is disabled the display device is in the first position, and is enabled when the display device is in the second position.
Thus, the display device is configured with a first display mode without touch function when in the first position, and a second interactive display mode with touch function when in the second position. This enables the touch function of the display screen only when the display device is in an ergonomically appropriate position for the user. The invention is not limited to the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 5. Other embodiments are conceivable.
In the embodiment of Figures 1 to 5, the first display area 10 is located above the second display area 12. Alternatively, conversely, the first display area 10 is located below the second display area 12.
In another variant, the dividing line between the first display zone 10 and the second display zone 12 is substantially vertical, the first display zone 10 and the second display zone 12 being located adjacent to the one of the other.
Furthermore, it is possible to provide two second display areas 12 located on either side of a first display area 10, with horizontal or vertical dividing lines between the display areas.
Thus, for example, in one embodiment, the display screen 8 includes two second display areas 12 located above and below a first central display area. The covering then comprises two obscuration portions 18 each masking a second display area 12 in the first position of the display device 6. The concealment portions 18 delimit an upper edge and a lower edge of the opening 22 20. The invention is not limited to an application to a vehicle dashboard, and more generally applies to vehicle upholstery.
