The invention aims in particular to provide a simple, effective and economical solution to this problem. For this purpose, it proposes a clutch abutment, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a body delimiting a pressure chamber, a piston slidably mounted in said chamber, said piston being intended to actuate a diaphragm during its sliding relative to the body. , characterized in that said body comprises at least one feed port opening at one end into the pressure chamber and at another end into a feed groove formed on an external surface of the body, sealing means being located on both sides of said groove. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a transmission casing and a clutch abutment of the aforementioned type, said casing having a housing in which is mounted, at least in part, the body of the clutch abutment, said casing comprising a fluid supply channel opening at the inner wall of said housing, facing the supply port or the feed groove of said body. The fluid connection between the gearbox housing and the clutch abutment is thus established directly, without the use of additional pipes or fittings, which simplifies assembly and reduces the cost of such an assembly. The clutch abutment 1 comprises a cylindrical body 2 having a radially outer cylindrical wall 3 and a radially inner cylindrical wall 4. Said walls 3, 4 and the partition 5 define an annular housing 6 open towards the front, that is to say to the left in the figures. The fixing lugs 15 comprise holes 16 allowing the engagement of fastening screws intended to ensure the attachment of the body to a gearbox casing 17. A piston 18 is engaged in the annular housing. The piston 18 is annular and has a rear portion 19 engaged in said annular housing 6 and a front portion 20 extending radially inwardly. The rear end of the piston 18 is provided with sealing means, such as for example an annular lip seal 21, intended to close a pressure chamber 22 (FIG. 5) delimited by the internal and external walls 4, partition 5 and the rear end of the piston 18. The piston 18 may be equipped with sealing means at its radially outer surface, such as for example that segments 23 bearing on the inner surface 13 of the outer wall 3 of the body 2. A stop-type bearing 24 is mounted at the front end of the piston 18. This bearing 24 comprises a front ring 25, intended to be turned towards a diaphragm of a clutch mechanism, a rear ring 26 in support on the forward radial portion 20 of the piston 18 and rolling means, such as for example balls 27, located between the front and rear rings 25, 26. A portion of the clutch housing 17 is visible in Figures 4 and 5. It comprises a housing 28 in which is mounted the body 2 of the clutch abutment 1. The clutch housing 17 comprises at least one channel of fluid supply 29, such as for example oil, said channel 29 emerging radially at the inner surface of the housing 28, facing the central groove 8 and axially between the O-rings 11. The diameter of the outlet of the supply channel 29 at the corresponding surface is slightly larger than the axial dimension of the median groove 8. In operation, pressurized fluid can be fed into the pressure chamber 22 through the channel 29 of the gearbox housing 17, the middle groove 8 and the feed ports 12 of the body 2. When the pressure in the pressure chamber 22 is less than a determined value, the axial return force exerted by the diaphragm on the bearing 24 and on the piston 18 is such that the piston 18 is in its retracted position, illustrated in FIG. this position, the piston 18 is mainly located in the annular housing 6 of the body 2.
