Field of the Invention The invention relates to a housing for a cosmetic product. Such housings include a base having one or more recesses for receiving cosmetics and a cover that is connected to the base to close or open the housing. Thus, when the lid is in the open position, the user has access to the recesses of the base.
State of the art
To increase the number of cosmetic products offered in the housing, it is known to add an intermediate tray acting as an inner drawer between the base and the lid. This intermediate tray can accommodate cosmetics, just like the base. It is configured to be hidden in the lid when the housing is closed, and deployed relative to the lid when the housing is open so that all cosmetics can be accessed simultaneously.
The manipulation of the lid causes the displacement of the intermediate plate from one position to another, by means of mechanical links. To do this, the intermediate plate is generally rotatably mounted on the cover, for example by means of pins, and slides relative to the base, for example via lugs sliding in grooves or recesses dug in the base.
Apart from the fact that the mounting of the tray is difficult within the housing, this construction has another major disadvantage. Indeed, given the existence of the mechanical connection between the plate and the base, the plate can not be completely out of the base, and thus hides a portion of the inner recesses of the base. These recesses are not accessible. The exploitation of space in the base under the plateau is very limited. In addition, the design of the different parts is relatively complicated since it must integrate the mechanical links. This creates expensive and fragile molds. Summary of the invention
The present invention aims to overcome the various drawbacks mentioned above, by means of a housing to offer, for external dimensions similar to those of a housing of the prior art, more interior space easily accessible for cosmetic products, with a simplified design for all parts, and which offers additional features to facilitate the opening and closing of the case.
This object is achieved by means of a cosmetic product case conventionally comprising: a base accommodating at least one cosmetic article; a lid rotatably mounted on the base, and being movable between a closed position of the housing, said closed position, and an open position of the housing, said open position; an intermediate tray accommodating at least one cosmetic article, rotatably mounted on the lid and disposed between the base and the lid, said plate being movable between a retracted position where it covers the base when the lid is closed and an extended position where it is recessed with respect to the base when the lid is opened so as to make the cosmetic article of the base at least partially accessible, the plate passing from its retracted position to its extended position by manipulation of the lid.
This device is mainly characterized in that the intermediate plate is also rotatable between said deployed position and a release position where it is taken away from the base so as to expose and / or make accessible the entire area from the base.
The intermediate plate is thus movable between three successive positions: the retracted position, the deployed position, and the release position. The main idea of this invention is to provide an intermediate tray that can accommodate cosmetics, and that can be completely clear of the base so that the entire base area is accessible and can accommodate cosmetics .
This therefore increases the storage capacity of cosmetics in the housing. This release position of the intermediate plate also allows access to almost the entire inner surface of the lid (except the area where the tray is fixed), which was not possible in the prior art. Indeed, it is for example possible to provide two different mirrors (one normal and the other with a magnifying effect) located on either side of the tray attachment area. These two mirrors then cover the entire inner surface of the cover, the mirror located below the fixing area being accessible when the intermediate plate is in the release position.
Between the retracted position and the extended position, the tray slides relative to the base, and rotates relative to the lid, as known in the prior art. To promote this sliding movement and make it partially automatic when handling the lid, the housing comprises means for assisting the opening and holding in the open position of the lid, as well as means for assisting the closure and holding in the closed position of the lid.
Thus, when the user manually starts an opening movement of the housing, the tray will automatically slide from its retracted position to its deployed position. Conversely, when the user manually starts a closure movement of the housing, the tray will automatically slide from its extended position to its retracted position. It is therefore an assisted sliding following a starting action initiated manually by the user.
Maintaining the open position is relatively convenient, especially when the lid contains a mirror, since this allows the user to wear makeup in front of the mirror without the need to hold the lid.
More specifically, said means for assisting in the opening and holding in the open position of the cover, as well as said means for assisting the closing and holding in the closed position of the cover, consist of magnetic devices.
The sliding of the plate is thus directed by magnetic attraction forces. The use of magnetic devices is particularly advantageous because it is exempt from any cumbersome mechanical connection, difficult to implement, and subject to wear problems including, and therefore mechanical strength over time. The construction of the tray and the base is thus more refined and simpler. Their assembly within the housing is also facilitated.
To move from the deployed position to the release position, the tray must be completely separated from the base after sliding. By using magnetic devices for sliding the tray, it is easy to manually break the magnetic attraction forces exerted between the tray and the base, in order to position the tray in the disengaged position.
In a concrete manner, each magnetic device comprises at least one part fixed to the intermediate plate, and at least one part fixed to the base, these two parts cooperating magnetically with each other as a function of the position of the intermediate plate with respect to the base. When the two parts come closer to a manual action of the user, as soon as one enters the magnetic field of the other, it creates a magnetic attraction between the two parts which causes the automatic displacement of the plate by report to the base.
For each magnetic device, at least one of said two parts is made of magnetic material. This is a magnet for example. The other part may also be magnetic material, or ferromagnetic material, or metal material.
For each magnetic device, said two parts are disposed on the same lateral side of the housing oriented perpendicularly to the axes of rotation of the lid and the intermediate plate. The objective being that the pieces attract each other until they are superimposed on one another, it is necessary that they be aligned on the same side.
In general, the base, the lid and the intermediate plate each have a rear portion located in the vicinity of the axes of rotation of the lid and the intermediate plate, and a front portion located opposite the rear portion. These terms "front" and "back" are defined with respect to handling and nominal use of the housing, that is to say when the housing is closed and placed horizontally on a work surface, or in the hand of 'an user. The base is placed on the work surface or the hand, and the user visualizes the closed case cover and the "front" of the case in general.
According to the invention, the magnetic device for assisting the opening and holding in the open position of the lid comprises a first part arranged in the rear part of the base at a first lateral side of the case and a second part arranged in the front part of the intermediate plate at the same first lateral side of the housing, the two parts being arranged to be superimposed on one another in the open position of the lid. Thus, the two parts are sufficiently distant from each other in the closed position of the lid so that they are not attracted to each other. When the user begins to open the lid, the tray begins to slide and the second piece begins to move toward the first piece, until one of them exerts its magnetic attraction on the other and automatically causes the further sliding of the tray without any further manual action.
Said two parts of the magnetic device for assisting opening and holding the lid in the open position consist of two magnets exerting a magnetic attraction force on one another. Since the force required to open the housing is important, it is preferable that it be two magnets, thus having significant magnetic forces.
According to a first possible configuration, the magnetic device for assisting the closing and holding in the closed position of the cover comprises a first part arranged in the front part of the base at a second lateral side of the case and a second part arranged in the rear part of the intermediate plate at the same second side side of the housing, the two parts being arranged to be superimposed on one another in the closed position of the lid.
In this case, the first lateral side of the housing is used for its opening, and the second lateral side is used for its closure. In the same manner as before, the two parts are sufficiently distant from each other in the open position of the cover so that they are not attracted to one another. When the user begins to close the lid, the tray begins to slide and the second piece begins to move toward the first piece, until one of them exerts its magnetic attraction on the other and automatically causes the further sliding of the tray without any further manual action.
Said two parts of the magnetic device for assisting the closing and holding in the closed position of the cover consist of two magnets exerting a magnetic attraction force on one another. Since the force required to perform this function of closing the housing is lower than that required to provide the opening function, it would also be possible to provide a magnet and a metal part instead of two magnets.
According to a second possible configuration, the magnetic device for closing and holding the lid in a closed position comprises a first part arranged in the front part of the base at the first lateral side of the case and a second part arranged in the case. front part of the intermediate plate at the same first lateral side of the housing, the two parts being arranged to be superimposed on one another in the open position of the lid.
In this case, the first side side is used for both opening and closing the housing. The two magnetic devices are then arranged in one side, the other side can remain neutral. As explained above, when the user begins to close the lid, the tray begins to slide and the second piece begins to move toward the first piece, until one of them exerts its power. Magnetic attraction on the other and automatically drives the further sliding of the tray without any further manual action.
For this second configuration to work, in other words so that there is no interference between the two magnetic devices, it is necessary that the second piece of the magnetic device to assist in closing and holding in place. closed position of the cover is confused with the second part of the magnetic device for assisting in opening and holding the cover in the open position. There is therefore only one piece in the plate acting successively with the two parts contained in the base according to the opening and closing actions of the housing.
Preferably, in the magnetic device for closing and holding the lid in the closed position, the first piece consists of a metal plate and the second part consists of a magnet capable of exerting a magnetic attraction force on said plate. metallic.
The invention will be better understood, and other objects, details, features and advantages thereof will become more clearly apparent in the following detailed explanatory description of at least one embodiment of the invention. invention given by way of purely illustrative and non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings.

detailed description
With reference to FIG. 12, the casing according to the invention conventionally comprises: a base 2 of parallelepipedal shape comprising a support 2d defining a central cavity in which a cup 2a is inserted able to accommodate a cosmetic product 5; a lid 1 of parallelepipedal shape of similar size to that of the base 2, and rotatably mounted on the base 2 by means of journals 2c inserted into openings 2e, 1b provided for this purpose both on the base 2 and on a catch tab 1a extending from the cover 1 in the direction of the base 2; a mirror 6 glued inside the lid 2 at its bottom, by means of a piece of double-sided adhesive tape 6a and protected by an external protective film 6b; an intermediate plate 3 of parallelepipedal shape, slightly smaller in size than that of the base 2 and the lid 1, defining a central cavity able to accommodate a cosmetic product 4, and mounted in rotation on the lid 1 by means of two pieces cylindrical 3a housed in two lights (not visible) provided for this purpose in the cover 1; a hook 2b belonging to the base 2 and interposed between the support 2d and the cup 2a, this hook 2b being provided to engage resiliently with a rim of the lid 1 so as to lock the lid 1 to the base 2 when the casing is closed.
When the casing is closed and laid horizontally, ready for use, it comprises: an upper face corresponding to the upper surface of the cover 1, a lower face corresponding to the lower surface of the base 2, two sides; side 7,8 belonging to both the cover 1 and the base 2, - a first end corresponding to a front face comprising the hook 2b, and belonging to both the lid 1, and the base 2, - a second end opposed to the first end and corresponding to a rear face where are located the pins 2c and the orifices 2e and 1b, and belonging to both the cover 1 and the base 2.
The front of the housing is directed to the user when the latter carries the housing in his hand to use it.
To better identify the orientation of the housing with its front and rear faces in the various configurations of the housing, the reference AR is written on each figure to identify the rear face, and the reference AV is written on each figure to identify the front face of the housing.
More generally, the base 2, the cover 1 and the intermediate plate 3 each comprise a front portion located in the vicinity of the front face of the housing and a rear portion located in the vicinity of the rear face of the housing.
The lid 1 is movable relative to the base 2 between a closed position of the housing, said closed position, illustrated in Figures 1, 6 and 10, and an open position of the housing, said open position, illustrated in Figures 3, 4 and 9. Figures 2 and 5 show an intermediate position of the lid 1, during the transition from the open position to the closed position (and vice versa) of the housing.
As previously stated, the lid 1 is here rotatably mounted relative to the base 2. The pins 2c and the holes 2e and 1b are located at the rear face of the housing, and the lid 1 thus rotates along a parallel axis X on the back side.
The cosmetic products 5,4 disposed in the base 2 and in the intermediate plate 3 are superposed between them in the closed position of the lid 1. They are exposed and / or made accessible by a first manipulation of the lid 1 as illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 6 .
According to the invention, the casing is configured so as to expose and / or make accessible all of the cosmetic product contained in the base 2 by a second manipulation of the intermediate plate 3.
During the first manipulation of the lid 1 illustrated in Figures 1 to 3, the latter moves from its closed position (Figure 1) to an intermediate position (Figure 2) and its open position (Figure 3).
During this first manipulation, the lid 1 causes the intermediate plate 3 to move in a retracted position in which it completely covers the cosmetic product 5 contained in the base 2 (FIG. 1) in an extended position (FIG. 3) in which it exposes and / or partially makes the cosmetic product accessible. In fact, the rear part of the cosmetic product 5 is not accessible and is hidden under the intermediate plate 3.
The intermediate plate 3 is here rotatably mounted relative to the lid 3, as previously stipulated, along an axis of rotation Y as illustrated in FIG. 4. The Y axis is parallel to the X axis. The pins 3 a are provided in FIG. the rear part of the intermediate plate and the lights are provided in the lateral sides of the lid, at a distance D predefined with respect to the front face of the lid 1. This distance D is greater than the length L of the intermediate plate 3, it is that is, the size of the tray 3 perpendicular to the Y axis, so that the tray 3 can be fully stowed within the lid 1 when the housing is closed.
It may be noted that the housing is here configured so that the cosmetic product 5 remains stationary during handling. In other words, when the intermediate plate 3 passes from its retracted position to its deployed position, the cosmetic product 5 does not move since the base 2 does not move.
Indeed, the intermediate plate 3 is slidably mounted relative to the base 2 between the closed position and the open position of the lid 1. The intermediate plate 3 slides indeed during this first manipulation above the base 2 without the 'train in motion. More specifically, the front portion of the plate 3 slides on the upper edges of the front, side and rear faces of the base 2.
Once arrived in its first deployed position (FIG. 3) the intermediate plate 3 is arranged to be taken away from the base 2 by pivoting about the Y axis, in particular by means of a second manipulation of the intermediate plate 3 , so as to completely expose the cosmetic product 5 contained in the base 2. The intermediate plate 3 is then found in a release position as shown in Figure 7. In this case, the portion of the mirror 6 located under the intermediate plate 3 becomes also accessible to the user.
The mirror 3 can be replaced by one or more other cosmetic articles.
To close the housing, the user first manipulates the intermediate plate 3 in the opposite direction so that it returns to the deployed position, then manipulates the cover 1 also in the opposite direction so that the intermediate plate 3 slides again along the base 2 to the retracted position.
So that the front part of the intermediate plate 3 remains pressed on the upper edges of the base 2 during its sliding, magnetic devices are integrated in the housing.
These magnetized devices systematically include a piece in the intermediate plate 3, and a piece in the base 2, the two parts cooperating with each other by magnetic attraction, so that the plate 3 is attracted magnetically by the base 2 or vice versa. Thus, during sliding, the plate 3 will always tend to remain pressed against the base 1.
The specific arrangement of these magnetized parts also helps to open and close the lid 1, and to maintain the latter in the open or closed position.
More concretely, the housing of the invention comprises two magnetic devices. A first device is used to assist in opening the housing and holding in the open position, and a second device is used to assist in closing the housing and maintaining the closed position.
A first embodiment of the invention is illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 7, and a second embodiment is illustrated in FIGS. 8 to 12. The two housing configurations according to the invention differ only in the position of the magnetized parts. in the case. The housing structure remains the same.
According to the first possible embodiment of the invention, the first magnetic device is composed of a first part 11 disposed in the rear part of the base 2, and a second part 12 disposed in the front part of the plate 3, the two parts 11,12 being located at a lateral side 8 of the housing, and visible in Figures 4 to 6.
Thus, when the housing is closed (Figure 6), the two parts 11,12 are spaced apart from each other. When the user begins to open the lid, the piece 12 approaches the piece 11 until they attract each other (Figure 5). The front portion of the plate 3 remains well pressed against the base 2 because the part 12 is attracted by the part 11, and until the two parts 11,12 are superimposed (Figure 4). Between FIG. 5 and FIG. 4, the user no longer needs to manipulate the cover to complete the opening, it is the force of attraction between the parts 11, 12 that causes the cover 1 to move towards the open position. The opening is assisted by the parts 11 and 12. The lid 1 is then held in the open position by the two parts 11,12 superimposed. The user can break this magnetic attraction manually to raise the plate 3 towards its release position as illustrated in FIG. 7.
The second magnetic device is composed of a first part 9 disposed in the front part of the base 2, and a second part 10 disposed in the rear part of the plate 3, the two parts 9, 10 being located at the level of another lateral side 7 of the housing, and visible in Figures 1 to 3.
Thus, when the housing is open (Figure 3), the two parts 9,10 are spaced apart from each other. When the user begins to close the lid, the piece 10 approaches the piece 9 until they attract each other (Figure 2), which has the effect of causing the further movement of the lid 1 without any further intervention on the part of the user. The cover 1 then closed, the two parts 9,10 are superimposed (Figure 1). The closure is thus assisted by the parts 9 and 10. The cover 1 is then held in the closed position by the two parts 11,12 superimposed.
Parts 9,10,11,12 are for example all magnets that attract two by two on the same side of the housing.
According to a second embodiment of the invention, it is possible to simplify these magnetic devices by combining them.
Thus, as previously the first magnetic device is composed of a first part 11 disposed in the rear part of the base 2, and a second part 12 disposed in the front part of the plate 3, the two parts 11, 12 being located at a lateral side 8 of the housing, and visible in Figures 8 to 10.
By cons, the second magnetic device is composed of a first part 13 disposed in the front part of the base 2, and cooperates with the second part 12 disposed in the front part of the plate 3, the two parts 13,12 being located at the level of the same lateral side 8 of the housing.
In this case, there are only three pieces 11, 12, 13 for the two magnetic devices, a part 12 being common to the two devices, and all the parts 11, 12, 13 being located on the same lateral side. Another side 7 may contain the same coin pattern, or may contain nothing at all and therefore be free of any magnetic effect.
The common part 12 is attracted by the part 13 for closing the housing, and is attracted by the part 11 for opening the housing. It is therefore drawn in turn by the two pieces 13,11 contained in the base 2.
In order to avoid any magnetic interference and to delimit the attractive forces as a function of the positions of the plate 3, it is advantageous to provide different materials for the three pieces 1,12,13.
More specifically, since the force required to open the housing is greater than the force required to close the housing, the two parts 11 and 12 will preferably be magnets having a great power of attraction to each other. .
Since the closure requires less force, the part 13 will be made of metallic or ferromagnetic material, and will consist for example of a metal plate. Thus, the piece 12 will generally be less attracted to the piece 13 than the piece 11, which will facilitate opening while assisting closure.
The parts 11, 12, 13 are better represented in FIG. 11. They are relatively thin plates arranged vertically, in the direction of their length, along the lateral sides of the housings, and fixed in housings provided for this purpose. effect.
Parts 9 and 10 also consist of platelets of the same type.
With respect to the above description, the optimal dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, including variations in size, materials, shapes, function and modes of operation, assembly and use are considered apparent and obvious to those skilled in the art, and all relationships equivalent to what is illustrated in the drawings and what is described in the specification are intended to be included in the present invention.
