专利说明:
The invention relates to a bodywork, or a bodywork element of a motor vehicle in which a style effect is sought. The body of the vehicle is formed by all the elements forming the outer surface of the vehicle, which are generally visible from the outside of the vehicle, and which participate generally in the general exterior shape and style of the vehicle. To emphasize certain parts of the vehicle body stylists can create recesses that are locally concave areas, profile and variable length, shaped generally stretched in a main direction, oriented vertically or horizontally depending on the desired effect. When their shape is accentuated, they can also have a functional aspect and serve as housing for specific equipment or allow manual entry of the bodywork element on which they are integrated. This is the case for example, but not exclusively, the recess located on the tailgate of the vehicle and which serves as a handle to open the latter. Also, for what is the subject of the invention and the present description is understood by recess a fold of elongated shape, made on the surface of the vehicle body by one or more elements forming an integral part thereof, and wherein at least a portion of the recessed area is facing another portion of the body adjacent to this recess. The recess locally overlooks the bodywork. To enhance the effect of style provided by these recesses, it may seem advisable to have a lighting device inside the recess for emitting a light flow along the stylistic line formed by said recess. The invention therefore relates to a body of a motor vehicle comprising a recess extending along a line emphasizing the shape of the vehicle, in which is disposed a lighting device. According to the invention, the lighting device comprises a diffusing light guide emitting a luminous flux at any point of the illuminating portion of said diffusing light guide, said diffusing light guide being disposed over all or part of the length of the recess, and placed in said recess so that the luminous flux is directed to the only surface of the bodywork of said vehicle adjacent to said recess. The light source is not visible from outside the vehicle and illuminates the portion of the bodywork adjacent to the recess, so that no part of the light beam emitted by the device is emitted directly to the outside of the vehicle. vehicle. The lighting device is not likely to dazzle a user of the road flowing in the vicinity of the vehicle. By optical guide or light guide is meant here a transparent or translucent piece within which light rays move in a controlled manner in a common general direction from a first end of the guide having an entrance surface near the which are arranged one or more light sources, to an exit surface from which the light rays emerge. The propagation of the light inside the light guide is done by successive internal reflections of the light rays on the faces of the light guide called internal reflection faces. The exit surface may be formed by the face or section opposite to the entrance face or alternatively by a side face of the light guide. In the present description, and in a manner known to those skilled in the art, the term "diffusing light guide" means a light guide in which the exit surface of the light is formed by a lateral face of said light guide. This surface, which occupies all or part of the surface of the light guide, is generally substantially parallel to the general direction of the light guide. Thus, for a diffusing light guide of circular cross section, such as an optical fiber, the light emerges from the light guide in a substantially radial direction. A diffusing light guide thus makes it possible to distribute a substantially constant luminous flux at any point on the exit surface of the diffusing portion of the guide, and to illuminate in a substantially uniform manner the portion of the bodywork adjacent to the recess and along which he's stretching. The realization of a diffusing light guide can use different technologies and known as such. A first technique is to treat the surface of the fiber so as to make it rough. The roughnesses are then so many reflective surfaces allowing part of the light to escape from the light guide to the outside. This technology is inexpensive, and is very effective for diffusing light guides of short length, in practice for lengths less than 3m. It also makes it possible to make diffusing only the part of the light guide used for lighting. Another technology involves doping the material forming the light guide with microscopically sized reflective particles. This technology makes the diffusion of light more uniform. The styling effect obtained by means of a diffusing lighting device arranged according to the invention thus makes it possible to create a luminous halo evenly distributed all along the recess. In this way, the lighting variations generated by the use of discrete light sources formed by one or more bulbs, or by light-emitting diodes, mounted for example on a printed circuit, are avoided, the wiring and the implementation of which may to be expensive if the surface or the length to be lit are important, because of the protections against the external aggressions that they require. The heat generated by the printed circuits, when the number of light-emitting diodes increases, can also be a source of problems, the solution of which requires the establishment of a cooling system of a significant volume. This distributed area lighting may also be particularly useful for illuminating or signaling the location of a functional element located in or near the recess. This is the case, for example, of the registration plate, which is generally located under the recess of the tailgate or the rear window, or else of the opening control device of this tailgate placed in said recess, which may seem appropriate to signal with a light line the presence and the area along which this opening control device extends. The body according to the invention may also comprise in isolation or in combination the following characteristics: the diffusing light guide is disposed on a removable support fixed in the recess. - The diffusing light guide is formed by one or more optical fibers. The optical fibers of the diffusing light guide are arranged in layers. - The diffusing light guide is connected at one end to one or more light sources located on an inner side of the body. - The recess comprises a single orifice through which the diffusing light guide passes from the internal side of the body to an outer side of the body. The light sources are light-emitting diodes. - The bodywork includes a rear hatchback. - The lighting device is disposed in a recess of the tailgate surmounting a license plate, and extends transversely over a length equal to or greater than the length of said license plate, so that said license plate receives a constant luminous flux over its entire length. - The body further comprises an opening control device located in said recess, and extending transversely over the entire length of the lighting device so that said opening command is operable at any point of a segment illuminated by the lighting device. - The opening control device is mounted on the support. The opening control device is of the resistive type or of the acoustic type, or preferentially of the optical type, or even more preferentially of the capacitive type. - The capacitive type opening control device is mounted on the inner side of the tailgate, and wherein the material forming the tailgate is permeable to electromagnetic fields. - The body comprises a glazed surface partially covering the surface of the bodywork adjacent said glass surface, so as to form a recess in which is disposed the lighting device. The invention will be better understood on reading the appended figures, which are provided by way of example and are in no way limitative, in which: FIG. 1 represents a vehicle tailgate having a first recess located above the registration plate. - Figure 2 is a sectional view along A-A of the tailgate. - Figure 3 schematically shows a perspective view of a support on which is disposed the diffusing lighting device. - Figure 4 shows a sectional view along A-A of a diffusing lighting device combined with a capacitive effect opening control device. FIG. 5 represents a sectional view along AA of a lighting device according to an alternative embodiment of the device of FIG. 4. FIG. 6 represents a sectional view along AA of a combined lighting device. with an optical effect opening control device. - Figure 6a shows a schematic sectional view of an optical effect control device. - Figure 7 shows a sectional view along A-A of a lighting device combined with an acoustic effect opening control device. - Figure 7a shows a schematic sectional view of an acoustic effect control device. - Figure 8 shows a sectional view along A-A of a lighting device combined with a resistive effect opening control device. - Figure 8a shows a schematic sectional view of a resistive effect control device. - Figure 9 shows a vehicle tailgate having a second recess located below the rear window. - Figure 10 shows a sectional view along B-B of a lighting device located in the recess illustrated in Figure 9. The part of the body serving as a support for the present description is formed, in a nonlimiting manner, by the rear hatch 15 of the vehicle. The wall 10, forming the outer side of the body visible from the outside, and the window 4 of the body part 1 formed by the tailgate 15, and illustrated in Figure 1, therefore participate in the general style of the vehicle. A first horizontal recess 12 is made in the part of the tailgate 15 situated above the registration plate 11. This recess extends transversely over a length d greater than or equal to the length of the registration plate 11. The recess 12 locally overhangs the portion of the body supporting the license plate 11. The section along A-A, illustrated in FIG. 2, makes it possible to better visualize the portion of the tailgate 15 comprising the recess 12. A lighting device 2 is disposed in the recess 12. This lighting device comprises a diffusing light guide 20. The diffusing light guide may consist of a material such as transparent plastic having a refractive index higher than the ambient medium, as a rule that the ambient air, and in which, the material constituting the light guide, or the surface of the light guide extending along the recess 12, have been subjected to a treatment as described above. Preferably, the light guide is formed by an optical fiber or a plurality of optical fibers 20 arranged in a web around a support 21. The fiber web is composed of fiber sections substantially rectilinear and parallel to each other. This sheet may comprise son of frames ensuring good mechanical strength of the assembly. Figure 3 shows the shape of the support on which the sheet of optical fibers is to be placed. The support 21 is arranged by simple gluing or by interlocking or by clipping onto a fixing rail 13. Alternatively, the lighting device 2 can be assembled by a removable attachment such as a Velcro ™ type system or an adhesive strip, interposed between the surface of the sheet 20 and the surface of the bodywork 10. In addition to the means described above, it is possible to provide a locking means, such as a screw, to ensure the inviolability of the device and prevent disassembly of the lighting device from outside the vehicle The diffusing light guide 20, or the diffusing optical fibers, extend in the transverse direction all along the recess 12 over a length at least greater than the length of the registration plate and preferably over the entire length of the recess 12 . The luminous flux L emanating from the sheet of diffusing fibers is directed exclusively towards the surface of the bodywork and the license plate, without ever directly reaching an external observer who perceives only the part of the light beam reflects. by the bodywork and, in particular, without ever dazzling the driver of a vehicle traveling behind. The lighting device thus makes it possible, in addition to the styling effect making it possible to emphasize the shape of the vehicle, to illuminate, in accordance with the regulations, the registration plate in such a way as to make the alphanumeric identifiable indications legible. the vehicle when the vehicle is traveling in a reduced light condition. A diffusing light guide will be selected so that the intensity of the light beam L from the scattering light source is substantially constant over the entire length of the license plate to avoid under-lit areas, and to favor the reading of the license plate 11. The lighting device can also be activated when the vehicle is stationary to improve the visibility of the vehicle when the driver activates the opening of the doors, or when the position lights are on. It will be observed at this stage that the use of a light guide also makes it possible to place the light source disposed at the end of the light guide at any point on the internal side of the bodywork, in a protected place, and to bring out to the outer part of the body the only diffusing part of the light guide by a single passage made in the recess. This arrangement makes it possible to eliminate the use of protective glazings used in traditional techniques and separating the emitting portion of the light from the outside of the vehicle, and to reduce the weather-related aggressions of the electrical part comprising the light source of the vehicle. lighting device. In addition, only the outer portion of the optical fibers located on the outer side of the body is diffused by one of the treatments described above. The part of the optical fibers running on the interior side of the body, which is not diffusing, allows the light to circulate with very little dispersion from the light source to the outer part located in the recess 12. When the recess in the bodywork also serves as a lifting handle, as is frequently the case when it is a hatchback 15, it may be advantageous to place an opening control device in the area in which the user of the vehicle will place his fingers to raise the tailgate 15. Under the effect of the approach or the exercise of a simple pressure of the user, the control device allows the unlocking of the lock closing the tailgate 15. For the sake of convenience it may be desirable to place the control device in the recess, and run it a great length, equal to the length of said recess. This arrangement allows the user to not have to locate the precise place where to place his fingers when the opening command is very localized, right, left or the center of the recess. The line of light emanating from the lighting device then serves as an indicator to signal to the user the extent of the zone in which he can operate to simultaneously control the opening and lift the tailgate 15. FIG. 4 illustrates the case of an aperture control device 31 having a capacitive effect. In this configuration, two polarized conductors 311 and 312 create an electromagnetic field in their near environment. When the fingers of the user penetrate inside the electromagnetic field, a sensor (not shown), sensitive to the variation of capacitance, detects the variation of the electromagnetic field, and controls the opening of the tailgate 15. There is no need to cause physical contact between the user's fingers and the capacitive sensor to activate the control. As a result, the conductors 311 and 312 can usefully be arranged in the support 21 as shown in FIG. 4. Alternatively, and provided that the body is permeable to electromagnetic fields, the conductors 311 and 312 may be placed in an internal part of the bodywork 14, not visible from the outside and opposite to the outer part 10, and arranged in edge of the recess 12, as shown in Figure 5. This arrangement allows to have all the electrical functions on the inner side of the body. Other alternative embodiments are illustrated in the following figures. The optical effect control device 32 illustrated in FIGS. 6 and 6a, is formed of an optical fiber 321, having a refractive index m, in which a light ray 322 circulates. The optical fiber is disposed inside a guide 323 having a refractive index n3. The space 324 between the fiber 321 and the guide 323 forms an intermediate region of refractive index n2. The indices of refraction are governed by the relation n3> n2> ni. Under the effect of the pressure of the fingers of the user, the guide 323 is pressed against the optical fiber 321 so that the light beam is no longer entirely reflected by the optical fiber, and undergoes attenuation whose intensity can be evaluated by a control unit controlling the opening device (not shown). FIG. 7 illustrates an acoustic effect control device 33. According to this technology, illustrated in FIG. 7a, the control device is formed of an elastic and deformable duct 331. An acoustic wave transmitter 332 having a determined power and frequency is placed at a first end of the tube, and an acoustic receiver 333 is disposed at the other end of the tube. When the duct 331 is compressed by the pressure of the fingers of a user, the acoustic wave 334 undergoes a measurable attenuation by a detector (not shown) connected to the transmitter and the receiver. The detector then controls the opening of the lock. Another alternative, illustrated in FIG. 8, provides a resistive effect control device 34. This device, illustrated in FIG. 8a, is formed by two electrical conductors 341 and 342, isolated from each other and encased in an elastic and deformable conduit 343. A generator (not shown) maintains a potential difference between the two conductors. When the deformable conduit is pressurized, the conductors 341 and 342 come into contact or move toward each other, and change the resistivity of a circuit. A detector placed in the circuit appreciates this variation in resistivity and transmits the control signal. The control devices 32, 33 or 34 are sensitive to the pressure they are experiencing locally. They may, however, be usefully placed inside the support 21 as long as the material constituting said support 21 is elastic and deformable so as to transmit the pressure exerted by the fingers of the user to the opening control device. Thus, all the control devices described above allow the opening of the tailgate 15 at any point along the light path underlined by the lighting device located in the recess 12. The lighting device and the opening control device can be arranged on the same support 21, which has the effect of lightening the assembly operations of the components disposed on the tailgate 15. The style effect mentioned in the above paragraphs n ' is not limited to the recess above the license plate and serves as liftgate lift handle 15. Thus, by way of example, FIG. 9 illustrates the case of a second type of recess 12 disposed on the tailgate 15, at the lower limit of the window 4. FIG. 10 represents the sectional view along BB, in which the lower part of the pane 4 projects slightly above the wall 10 of the tailgate to create a recess 12, inside which a lighting device 2 is housed. according to the invention. Depending on the desired style effect, or the degree of customization of the vehicle desired by its user, the color and intensity of the light beam can be modulated by varying the color and intensity of the light emitting diodes forming the light source and placed at one end of the diffusing light guide.
