DEVICE APPLICATOR OF A FLUID OR PASTY PRODUCT ON
KERATIN FIBERS
TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to the field of applicators for applying a fluid or pasty product on keratin fibers such as eyelashes or eyebrows. In particular the applicators of the invention allow to apply a cosmetic product, makeup or care, on the hair, eyelashes or eyebrows.
These applicators essentially comprise two elements: an elongated core on which is disposed at least one row of teeth or pins.
STATE OF THE PRIOR ART
Many documents are known which disclose products of this type which are primarily intended to allow to load and then apply the appropriate product in an easy manner, simple and reliable, with a harmonious result. In the field considered, we speak of charge function, separation function, definition function or bending function that must be performed by such an applicator.
For some time already known, for example by the teaching of FR 2 505 633, a makeup brush having a support on which are fixed bristles, individually and regularly. According to a characteristic of this invention, the support and the bristles come from injection molding material.
[0005] By way of illustration, the document FR 2 850 549 discloses an applicator brush for a product on keratin fibers, comprising a bristle-supporting core of which at least a portion extends in a curved manner.
Also known from FR 2 902 984 an applicator having a core and at least two rows of teeth each oriented differently vis-à-vis an outer face of the core. This type of applicator aims to improve the application of a product in particular in terms of penetration of the teeth between the eyelashes or other, smoothing the product on the eyelashes and separating them.
Also known from the French patent application EN 1052316 an applicator device for adjusting and / or control the flexibility of the teeth that constitute it; this device thus consists of a core and several rows of pins; a first series of pins extends from the core to a longitudinal rod while a second series of pins has a first end connected to the rod and a second free end. This type of applicator makes it possible to adjust and / or control the flexibility of the teeth (or pins). However, such an applicator lacks radial flexibility; it is very little radially deformable which is a disadvantage when it comes to pass through an annular element called wiper placed at the outlet of the product container to be applied. Indeed the "load" that is to say the amount of product engaged on the device is not optimal and may be insufficient for a good application on the eyelashes, with such a known device.
Also known from WO 2012/085398 a fluid applicator device, monobloc, and which, typically, comprises at least one flexible and flexible rod longitudinally oriented and recessed in at least a first and a second points on said longitudinal core, so as to provide at least one bending zone perpendicular to the longitudinal axis XX. With respect to known devices, this applicator represents an improvement in the load and the application of the product because the flexible rod or stems, also called "arches", have a certain mobility, are more deformable and therefore contain a variable amount of product.
This technical effect is very popular with users; but in terms of the manufacture and the feasibility of such brushes, a technical limit seems difficult to overcome. Indeed the applicator according to WO 2012/085398 is monobloc that is to say derived from molding in one piece.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The invention aims to overcome the disadvantages of the state of the art and in particular to provide an applicator with improved properties including the modulation of the load, and which is monobloc that is to say manufactured in a single molding step while being feasible in bi-material or tri-material.
The present invention relates to an applicator monobloc device of a fluid or pasty product on keratinous fibers, comprising a core extending along a longitudinal axis XX and at least one flexible rod recessed in at least a first and a second points on the longitudinal core, said rod extending substantially along the longitudinal axis XX, pins being provided on the core and / or on said at least one rod.
According to a first aspect of the invention, said core is provided with at least one radially through opening and said at least one flexible rod extends substantially in a radial plane and has, along its length, at least a first and a second curvatures such that said rod passes through said at least one opening without contact to ensure its mobility in a radial plane of the device.
By "radially through" is meant an opening from one side of the core, which extends generally in a radial plane of the device.
In the rest of this text, "rod" or "arch" will be used indifferently. As will be understood with reference to the following text, the stem has a characteristic shape.
The mobility of the rod or rods is greater than in the prior art including the presence of the central opening in which the rod or rods are movable.
According to the invention, said at least one rod has at least two curvatures of the same orientation. Of course, said rod belongs to a radial plane.
According to a characteristic embodiment of the invention, the device comprises two flexible rods extending in two distinct radial planes. The flexible rods intersect at the radially through opening.
In addition, the device may comprise at least one additional rod embedded by its two ends at the distal end of the device. A kind of loop is thus provided at the distal end of the device, whose function will be explained below. The distal end is understood as the free end of the device, opposite the proximal end to which is generally attached the axis or the holding handle of the applicator.
Interestingly, the cross section of the core may be variable along the longitudinal axis XX.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the one-piece device comprises at least one ergot oriented radially and adapted to modify the shape of the opening if an axial force is applied to the distal end of the device.
According to one embodiment of the invention, at least one of said rods has a shape S and extends substantially along the entire length (XX) of the device.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the device comprises a rod whose shape is defined by a first curvature which extends along the length of the device, by a double curvature and by a connection between said curvatures disposed. at the level of said opening of the soul. The first curvature and the double curvature belong to the same radial plane. The complex shape of such a rod is however moldable with the rest of the device. The advantage of this embodiment lies in that it allows at least two different types of makeup, as will be explained below in connection with the illustrated embodiments.
Furthermore according to this embodiment, the connecting element has a lug oriented radially and perpendicular to the plane of the rod, said lug being adapted to cooperate with an edge of the core to maintain the rod in a given position.
In addition, according to a particular embodiment of the invention, said at least one rod has three successive curvatures along the axis XX, of the same orientation and separated by two points of inflection.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT
FIG. 1 illustrates in a perspective view a first embodiment of the invention according to which the monobloc device, capable of applying a fluid or pasty product to keratinous fibers, comprises a core 1 which extends along a longitudinal axis XX; the core 1 has a proximal end 10 close and cooperating with a gripping rod (not shown), and a distal end 11 free. At least one flexible rod 2 is further provided, embedded in at least first and second points on the longitudinal core 1. The embedding points are located here near the ends, respectively proximal and distal, of the core 1. The embedding is understood in the usual mechanical sense that is to say as a connection without degree of freedom.
Figure 1 also shows pins 3 provided on the rods or 2 and the core 1. The skilled person will determine the relevance of the presence of the pins 3; it will also determine their density, their orientation more or less empirically. The length of the device measured along the axis XX may be between ten millimeters and thirty millimeters, and its outside diameter is between five and fifteen millimeters.
The flexible rod 2 extends in a radial or longitudinal plane, that is to say perpendicular to a transverse plane of the device. ; it has a form specifically designed to increase its flexibility especially in the radial plane. Furthermore, at least one opening 4 is provided in the core 1. The opening is through radially, that is to say it pierces the core 1 from one side to the other and is oriented in a radial plane . The shape of the opening is generally elongated along the longitudinal axis XX. It is arranged to cooperate effectively with the rod or rods 2 of specific shape.
By "flexible rod" is meant in the sense of the invention an elongated member along the axis XX, flexible and movable substantially in a radial plane.
According to the embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 1, as well as Figures 2 to 4, the rod 2 has, according to its length, between its two recessed ends, a first 20 and a second 21 curvature of the same orientation; the first curvature 20 and the second curvature 21 are thus oriented in the same direction and they follow each other along the length of the rod 2. The first and second curvatures meet (here substantially in the middle of the length of the web 1) at the opening 4 provided in the core 1, at a point of inflection. At this level, the rod 2 passes through the opening without contact 4. FIG. 2 shows in more detail this characteristic and interesting arrangement.
Furthermore, Figure 3 shows that a second rod 2 as described above is provided in the same radial plane as the rod described above, but disposed at 180 ° thereof. The two curvatures 20,21 of the second rod 2 meet at the same level as the curvatures of the first rod 2, that is to say in the opening 4; there is no contact between the junction region of the curvatures 20, 21 of the second rod 2 and the walls of the opening 4. This arrangement allows the rods 2 to be movable in their radial plane, with a large amplitude , much larger than without the presence of opening 4. The opening 4 combined with the shape and the specific orientation of the rods 2, therefore allows a technically interesting mobility. Indeed, the mobility of the rods 2 makes it easy to load the device into a liquid or pasty product. This mobility also makes it possible to spread said liquid more homogeneously because the force exerted on the keratin fibers is itself more homogeneous. Furthermore, the mobility and flexibility provided by the invention allow a facilitated passage through the orifice and the wiper of the fluid container, through which the applicator passes a very large number of times, in a translational direction. and in the other.
Figure 4 shows an embodiment of the invention which differs from that of the preceding figures by the presence of an additional rod 22 embedded by its two ends at the distal end 11 of the core. A circular shape is thus given to the additional rod 22; preferably the additional rod 22 belongs to the same radial plane as the two rods 2 although this provision is not mandatory. Several additional rods of this type can be provided without departing from the scope of the invention, which extend in different planes. Realistically between one and six additional rods can be provided.
Figure 5 corresponds to a second embodiment of the invention which differs from the first mode by the presence of three curvatures 20, 21, 23 on each rod 2, instead of two. This side view shows that the two rods 2 belong to the same plane and that the curvatures meet at the level of the core 1. This figure does not show the opening or openings 4 in the core 1. Each opening presents the characteristics mentioned above and their arrangement vis-à-vis the area where the curvatures of the rods meet 2. The skilled person chooses according to the dimensions of the device, according to the materials used, the embodiment the most adapted.
The perspective of Figure 6 allows to see or the through openings 4 provided in the core and adapted to cooperate with the rods 2, particularly with the curvatures 20, 21,23 of these rods and with their zones. junction. This embodiment therefore comprises rods having greater flexibility than the first embodiment since the opening 4 is larger. This embodiment offers the user more precision when applying the product to the keratinous fibers. Indeed, each vertex of an undulation being clear, that is to say remote from the other vertices, the pins located in this zone allow a more precise (more localized) work of the outer edges of the fringe formed by the eyelashes, as well as lower eyelashes.
Figure 7 relates to an embodiment similar to that of Figure 6 but which provides an additional rod 22 similar to that of Figure 4. This is to show that various combinations are possible without departing from the scope of the invention.
Figures 8 to 10 illustrate a third embodiment of the invention in which two rods are present, each in the form of S. As in the previous embodiments, the rods 2 meet at the opening 4 of the core 1. Figure 9, through the section AA of Figure 8, shows the first curvature 20 of each rod 2; this figure also shows the presence of pins 3 on both the core 1 and the rods 2. This presence is not mandatory. The front view given by FIG. 10 shows in particular that the two rods 2 provided here belong to two different radial planes forming between them an angle α of approximately 60 °. The skilled person will choose Anglea as the case envisaged. The angle a is commonly between about 30 ° and 80 °.
Figures 11 and 12 relate to another (fourth) embodiment of the invention wherein two rods 2 are each provided in the form of S and each in a given radial plane. The two rods cross, of course, at the opening 4 in which they are movable. The cross section of FIG. 12, at the level of the opening 4, makes it possible to clearly see the junction zone of the rods 2 which here together form a mobile and flexible element.
Figures 13 to 15 show another (fifth) embodiment of the invention according to which the moving assembly or rod has a particular shape defined by a first curvature 25 which extends along substantially the entire length of the device , and by a double curvature 26, 27 provided in the same radial plane but whose convexity is opposite that of the first curvature 25. The connection between the first curvature 25 and the double curvature 26, 27 is formed at the level of the opening 4 which allows the displacement of the moving assembly in its radial plane. FIG. 14, which is a 90 ° view of FIG. 13, makes it possible to see the opening 4 in the core 1, at the level of the connection zone of the curvatures 25 and 26, 27 of the moving assembly or rod 2. FIG. 15 illustrates in a front view this same embodiment and makes it possible to confirm that the moving assembly or rod 2; 25, 26, 27 belongs to the same radial plane.
Depending on the type of eyelash to be treated, a particular embodiment is preferred.
Figures 16, 16A, 16B and 16C schematically illustrate a variant of the fifth embodiment. Indeed we see in these figures that the moving assembly or rod 2; 25, 26, 27 has a lug 7 oriented radially and perpendicularly to their own radial plane. The lug 7 is adapted to cooperate with an edge of the core 1 in order to maintain the rod 2; 25, 26, 27 in a given position. FIG. 16 illustrates the lug 7 in contact with an edge of the core 1 while FIG. 16C illustrates the lug 7 in contact with another edge of the core 1. There is a slight deformation between these two positions. the stem 2, due to its intrinsic flexibility. This maintains the rod in a fixed position, desired, which allows a more panoramic work, able to further stretch the fluid. By pressing lightly and laterally on the pin 7, the geometry of the arches or curvatures 25, 26, 27 changes so that a different work of the makeup can be operated.
Another interesting effect can be obtained with the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 17, 17A and 18, 18A. According to this embodiment of the invention, a lug 5 is provided on the rod 2, radially oriented and able to modify the shape of the opening 4 in the core 1. Figures 17 and 17A show the lug 5 disposed substantially at one end of the opening 4 while Figures 18 and 18A show the lug 5 placed towards the other end of the opening 4. Thus pressing the tip of the device, at its distal end 11, the user changes the shape of the opening 4 as visible in Figures 17 and 18; as well as the curvature of the rod 2 as illustrated in FIGS. 17A and 18A. This embodiment makes it possible to have two different profiles, and thus to produce two substantially different types of application. A point of no return makes it possible to maintain the position. It is the passage of the applicator through the neck of the container, in the direction of its entry into the container, which returns to the initial position (according to Figures 17 and 17A).
In addition, the particularity and the characteristics of the rods 2 (simple, double, having one or more corrugations or curvatures) are reinforced by the general flexibility obtained by the passage through the radially or through openings 4. Thus the user find more comfort and precision when makeup; the approach and the positioning on the base of the eyelashes are facilitated by the flexibility conferred on the rod (s) 2 provided with pins 3.
Furthermore, the rods 2 are not fixed on the core at the level or through openings 4, they are very flexible. The range of movement of the stems is interesting in that it offers new functions for makeup.
However, the present invention has a central core 1 continuous along its length; the section of the central core 1 has one or more through openings 4 for the passage of the rods or more precisely for the passage of the connecting zones between the curvatures of the rods 2. The monoblock device according to the invention therefore has a sufficiently rigid structure to pass without deformation or damage through the wiper member usually provided at the neck of the fluid container, and for very many passages.
It is very interesting to note that the device according to the invention, unlike the prior art, came from molding in one piece; a saving of time is thus achieved in production. High dimensional accuracy is guaranteed, as well as perfect control of all the constituent forms of the applicator according to the invention. The advantages provided by the invention are therefore considerable and the different embodiments allow a variety of uses, perfectly adapted both to the type of keratinous fibers to be treated, to the nature of the fluid to be applied and to the mode of makeup desired by the user.
