专利摘要:
The invention is a device for reducing the population of Asian hornets (Vespa Velutina Nigrithorax) by intervening on their nest by means of an insecticidal support placed on the back of an Asian hornet. The device allows remote intervention on the nest of Asian hornets and without needing to know where it is. It avoids the risks associated with the direct intervention of men and the use of expensive equipment and means. It is characterized by its targeted action and does not present the disadvantages of traditional methods of traps and baits; its impact is very limited on water, land, fauna and flora. The device consists of an adhesive layer (2), a sealing layer (3) and a support (4) containing an insecticidal substance. It is placed on the back of an Asian hornet (fig) without preventing its flight. This device aims to put the Asian hornets of the nest in contact with the toxic substance carried by the guinea pig hornet.

专利说明:

[0001] J. The Decree of 26 December 2012 classifies the Asian hornet (Vespa Velutina Nigrithorax) as a "second-class health hazard" for honey bees. The device of this invention aims to reduce the population of Asian hornets in their nest by means of an insecticidal carrier placed on the back of a guinea pig hornet. Traditional methods include placing mechanical, chemical or electrical traps and toxic baits in the places they frequent. A second method is to remove the attacks of hornets by enclosing the hives in wire cages where only the bees can enter and leave. A third method is to search for nests of hornets and destroy them. The annual increase in the number of hornets and their geographical extension show not only the inadequacy of traditional methods in the face of this scourge but also impacts on biodiversity. Namely: - The use of traps or baits is not selective at present and causes significant damage to biodiversity. - The protection of the hives by grids is supposed to avoid attacks of hornets in the vicinity of the apiary. This process does not prevent the attack of bees away from their hives and does not control the progress of hornets. These two methods do not allow the control of the progress of hornets since they aim at the effect and not the source of the proliferation of Asian hornets. 0 - The solution to destroy the nest is effective but needs to first identify the nest of hornets, or the nests of Asian hornets are not always easy to detect because they are installed preferably at the top of large trees, hidden under the foliage and sometimes a few hundred meters from the place of predation. Once the nest is spotted, it takes means in men and materials to reach and destroy it. This intervention is expensive and exposes men to the dangers of height and attacks of hornets. The method used in this invention does not have the drawbacks of the above-mentioned methods since, by targeting only the Asian hornet, it respects biodiversity and does not pose a risk of contamination of water, soil, fauna and water. flora. It allows to reach the nest of the hornet at a distance, so there is no need to locate the nest, or to have to involve men. This invention involves contaminating the Md of Asian hornets with a guinea pig hornet that carries an insecticide. FIG. 1 shows the device of the invention successively composed of an adhesive layer (2), a waterproof layer (3) and a support (4) containing an insecticidal substance, the whole is fixed on the back of a hornet (1). The watertight layer forms the intermediate part between the body and the support and its function is to prevent the direct contact of the toxic substance with the body of the guinea-pig hornet. With this device, the insecticidal substance can be chosen from the substances that will act either by contact, by ingestion, by inhalation, or by a combination of these different modes of action. The devices of this invention are: The first step is to capture an Asian hornet (guinea pig). It is necessary that the guinea pig hornet be captured alive and without lesions, in the places that it frequents in particular near the bee apiaries. The second phase of the intervention is to anesthetize the hornet in order to fix the device on him without exposing himself to risks. An easy and easy method for all is to anesthetize the hornet by the cold. For this, we put the captured hornet in a ventilated jar and put the jar 'D for a few minutes in a freezer. The anesthesia state of the hornet is monitored and released when the hornet bends its abdomen and where its legs are barely moving or when it has just stopped. Too much time in the freezer will kill the hornet. Cold resistance and duration of cold anesthesia may vary between hornets. The third step is to fix the device, through an adhesive layer, on the back of the hornet still anesthetized. The location of the device must not prevent the flight or disturb the movements of the hornet's head. It is preferable that the intervention be performed quickly, before the dissipation of the anesthetic effect, so as not to disturb the hornet and to avoid any risk for the manipulator.
[0002] The fourth phase is to release the hornet, equipped with the device, at or near the place where it was captured so as not to disorient the hornet with respect to the location of its nest. When this hornet carrying the device will join his congeners, he will put them in contact with the product contained in the support. This process is fast and efficient, it is a remote intervention and inexpensive, it can be repeated as many times as necessary. It is a targeted process that is safe for honey bees and polinizers, or for other species, it is not likely to pollute water, soil and plants. To increase the rate of successful return of the hornet to its nest, it is better to operate towards the end of the afternoon because the Asian hornet is a diurnal animal that joins his home at T30 sunset. The industrial application of this device, in the form of ready-to-use tablets, would have the advantage of controlling the structure of the device as well as the quality and the dose of the product used. It would facilitate the application of the method, on the one hand by reducing the fixing time of the device on the guinea-pig hornet, and therefore the accidents due to the awakening of the hornet, and on the other hand, by avoiding the risks associated with the handling of the products contained in the device.
