专利说明:

[0001] The present invention relates to cosmetic applicators comprising a rod and a mobile application element.
[0002] Applicators are known whose application element is orientable via the rod. Such applicators, which are suitable for the application of a cosmetic product, are described, for example, in FR 2 753 056, FR 2 840 514 and US Pat. No. 4 165 755. Applicable applicators are known to be able to flex when applying a cosmetic product. cosmetic product on the skin. Thus, documents FR 2 908 018 and FR 2 979 807 filed by the Applicant disclose applicators with a rod comprising at least one elastically deformable flexible portion. The application element is attached to the flexible portion. A rigid holding member may be attached within or around the flexible portion. This holding element improves the precision of the care or makeup.
[0003] With such applicators, it is not always possible to achieve a completely satisfactory degree of comfort. In addition, they are not designed to perform a massage of a complete area of the face. It has already been proposed applicators whose application element is mobile when moving on a treated area. This mobility is particularly related to the inclination of the application element on the area concerned and the pressure exerted by the user on this element. Such an applicator is described in WO 2013/127740. It comprises: - a gripping member, - a rod connected at its first end to the gripping member, and - an application element connected to a second end of the rod by a hinge comprising a ball joint. This applicator has the particularity of being mobile in three degrees of freedom, according to the demands of the user. However, it does not return systematically in the axis of the stem, when it is no longer used. Its mobility, in complete freedom, prevents the user from controlling his movement during the massage. In addition, the travel of the application element is limited by the configuration of the joint.
[0004] There is a need to further improve applicators for makeup and skin care, and to have a new applicator that is reliable, comfortable and easy to use. In particular, there is a need to provide an applicator whose application element: - automatically returns to its rest position after use, and - has an increased travel on both sides of its rest position. The applicator must also provide a pleasant and smooth massage, smoothly on the area of the body concerned. The movement must be continuous, regular, without jerks or jolts. The applicator must be flexible and precise in its handling. The user must be able to reach all parts of the face easily and without restraint. It should also be able to perform a light massage on areas of the face more fragile or more marked by fatigue.
[0005] The present invention aims in particular to meet this need. The subject of the invention is an applicator for applying a product (P) to keratin materials, comprising: an applicator element, a rod, a connecting element fixed to the rod, a hinge, the connecting element comprising a elastically deformable flexible portion capable of flexing when the product is applied to the keratin materials. Thanks to the flexible portion, the application element systematically returns to the axis of the rod when it is no longer used. The presence of the flexible portion provides softness and tone to the application, even with a relatively rigid application element such as a metal ball for example. The contact with the keratin materials is elastic, pleasant and comfortable.
[0006] Such an applicator may make it possible to modify the orientation of the applicator element relative to the rod during use, without causing difficulty in introducing the applicator into a container containing the product to be applied.
[0007] The flexible portion is capable of reversibly flexing to change the orientation of the application member. The user thus feels a massaging effect with a new massage gesture. The flexibility of the flexible portion can come from its shape and / or the material or materials used to achieve it. By "elastically deformable", it should be understood that the flexible portion has a certain shape memory. The expression "elastically deformable" must be understood in a broad sense and covers in particular the case where the flexible portion resumes elastically, after having been deformed, a position which is not strictly identical to its initial position, taking into account, for example the nature of the material used to make the flexible portion and the shape thereof. By "articulation" is meant an assembly of parts, one of them comprising a material axis or a ball joint to allow angular displacement of the assembled parts. The joint ensures relative mobility of the parts or their nesting in a fixed position. The "axis of the joint" is a piece of revolution used to articulate one or more other pieces that describe around it a circular motion. Preferably, the axis of the joint is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the applicator element. In particular, the axis of the pivot is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the application element. Thus, the movement of the applicator is better controlled. Preferably, the axis of the pivot is a rigid cylinder. Rod The rod may be cylindrical of revolution or substantially cylindrical of revolution, at least over most of its length. The rod may for example be other than flat in a plane. The rod may for example have a length much greater than its width, for example more than twice or more than three times, better more than five times greater than its width. The rod can be attached to a gripping member. Alternatively, a joint may be present between the rod and the gripping member. Connecting element The connecting element is attached to the rod. The rod may include a housing for receiving an end of the connecting member. Alternatively, the connecting element may comprise a housing for receiving an end of the rod. The connecting member may have an enlarged head or a necking to improve the retention by the rod in case of crimping. Advantageously, the connecting element is connected to the rod by snapping, screwing, gluing, force fitting or crimping. The connecting member provides a spring effect to the application member. It goes through a degree of maximum stress before being dragged into a return movement. The effect felt by the user is a dynamic and stimulating massage effect. Flexible Portion The flexible portion may extend along a rectilinear longitudinal axis or not, this axis being for example in the extension of that of the applicator element when the applicator is at rest. The flexible portion may be made by molding, for example by injection of thermoplastic material. The flexible portion may especially not be stamped. The flexibility of the flexible portion can be chosen according to the properties desired for the application, for example by the choice of the constituent material or materials, in particular their Shore hardness. The flexible portion may be made in at least partially of a material from the following list: elastomeric material, thermoplastic, thermoplastic elastomer, LDPE, PVC, PU, thermoplastic elastomer polyesters, especially copolymers of butene terephthalate and esterified polytetramethylene oxide glycol, Hytrel®, EPDM, PDM, EVA, SIS, SEBS, SBS, latex, silicone, nitrile, butyl, polyurethane, polyether amide block, polyester, this list not being limiting. The flexible portion may be made of a material whose hardness is for example between 25 Shore A and 80 Shore D, or even between 40 Shore A and 70 Shore D.
[0008] Preferably the flexible portion will have a hardness of 60 to 80shore A.
[0009] The total apparent length / flexible portion is for example between 7 and 25 mm. A larger external transverse dimension of the flexible portion is for example between 3 and 20, ideally between 5 and 10 mm. Preferably, the flexible portion has a larger external transverse dimension equal to a larger transverse dimension of the rod. The flexibility of the flexible portion may vary depending on the cross section and the profile of the flexible portion. The flexible portion may have a solid or hollow cross section and of varied shape, for example of a shape chosen from the following list: polygonal, square, rectangular, triangular, circular, non-circular, oblong, oval, elliptical, crenellated, d-shaped star, with one or more grooves, annular or axial. The flexible portion may be symmetrical in revolution about the longitudinal axis of the rod. The flexible portion may have a necking, if any. This shrinkage may be annular. It is at the level of this narrowing that the articulation has its mobility in rotation or patella depending on the geometry. The flexible portion may be non-symmetrical of revolution. Such a shape can provide a flexibility which is variable in the direction of inclination of the application element relative to its initial configuration.
[0010] Advantageously, the flexible portion may be reversibly inclined by more than 30 °, or even more than 45 °, or even more than 60 °, with respect to an initial rest configuration in which the application element and the rod are aligned. . The inclination may be limited by the geometry of the flexible portion.
[0011] Rigid portion Advantageously, the connecting element comprises a rigid portion. By "rigid portion", it is necessary to understand a part that only deforms under the action of a medium to large force. A rigid portion may undergo a slight deformation overall under stress.
[0012] The rigid portion may be made of a thermoplastic material, in particular one of the materials selected from the following list: HDPE, LDPE, linear PE, PT, PP, POM, PA, PET, PBT, this list not being limiting.
[0013] The rigid portion may have a solid or hollow cross-section of a shape selected from the following list: circular, non-circular, oblong, oval, elliptical, polygonal, square, rectangular, triangular, kidney-shaped, crenellated, star-shaped, with a or several throats. A circular cross section may be preferred.
[0014] The rigid portion may comprise at least one housing for fixing the flexible portion thereon. Advantageously, the flexible portion is overmolded on the rigid portion. Preferably, the rigid portion forms the core of the connecting element.
[0015] Application Element The application element may comprise a massage element having a substantially smooth outer surface. Alternatively, the outer surface may also be provided with asperities, such as relief sculptures, especially if the massage is performed for abrasion of the tissues of the epidermis.
[0016] Preferably, the application element is mobile under the effect of a force of between 0 N and 0.4 N, preferably between 0.01 N and 0.02 N. Advantageously, there is neither friction or friction between the application element and the seat. The application element may have the shape of a sphere, a pearl, a brush, a brush, a spatula, a massage pad with rigid or flexible reliefs, a massage pad with fixed or moving elements such as a roll on, a rugby ball or a tear. More preferably, the application element is monoblock. The application element is in particular metal, such as stainless steel, ceramic, glass, elastomer, plastic. It can comprise at least two materials. For example it can be flocked plastic, plastic carrying a sponge or bi flexible and rigid material. Advantageously, the application element is made of metal. It provides a feeling of freshness, which improves the well-being and relaxation of the person, which allows to deflate or decongest an eye contour for example, while increasing the effectiveness of the applied product. The applicator element may also comprise a porous material, for example a foam, a sponge, a felt or a flocked tip, being configured for example to apply a product to the body or face. It retains more product and releases it gradually. The application element may be able to retain the product by capillarity.
[0017] The application element may have a rectilinear or curved axis, preferably the axis is rectilinear to better adapt to the joint. Articulation Advantageously, the articulation connects the application element to connecting element. The gesture is thus optimized. According to a first embodiment of the invention, the articulation provides a relative mobility of the application element and the connecting element. The applicator can reach narrower areas of the face or body. According to a second embodiment of the invention, the hinge ensures a nesting in the fixed position of the applicator element and the connecting element. The applicator is easy to move over a wide area. It moves in block with the stem. According to a third embodiment, the joint comprises a ball joint. For the purposes of the invention, the term "ball" means a hinge formed of a part, preferably spherical rotatable in a hollow housing. In particular, the spherical piece can be chamfered. The ball joint is identified by its degrees of freedom: it completely binds two parts in translation but leaves them free in rotation. It has three degrees of connection (the three translations) and three degrees of freedom (the three rotations). The simplest case is that of two male and female spheres. No direction is privileged from the point of view of behavior. There is only one schematic representation view, as no direction is distinguishable. When two pieces are linked by a ball joint, there is a fixed point of a coin coinciding with a fixed point of the other. This point is the center of the link. According to a fourth embodiment, the articulation comprises a pivot.
[0018] The "ball joint" differs from the "pivot connection". The latter rotates a piece allowing only one rotation around the axis of the link. When two solids are in pivot connection, there are at least two fixed points of each solid respectively coinciding. The line passing through these points constitutes the axis of the connection. It has three degrees of connection (the three translations) and a single degree of freedom (one rotation). Advantageously, the articulation is disposed inside the connecting element. Arranging the hinge within the link member can make the applicator more compact and easier to grip. Preferably, the hinge is configured to prevent axial or lateral displacement of the applicator member relative to the link member at the hinge. The absence, at the joint, axial or lateral displacement of the applicator element relative to the connecting element allows the user to precisely position the application element at the desired location.
[0019] Packaging and application devices The invention further relates to a device for packaging and applying a cosmetic product, comprising a container containing the product and an applicator as defined above. The applicator can be configured to close the container.
[0020] The container may be a tube, a jar or a bottle, for example. The application element can dive into the container. The container may include a wiper. A sealed closure of the container can be obtained by a seal located at the top of the stem. The cosmetic product may in particular be a body care or facial product, a makeup or hygiene product. In particular, the cosmetic product may be a moisturizer, an anti-aging product, an anti-wrinkle, a foundation, a lip gloss, a lip balm, a lipstick, an eyeshadow or an eye shadow, a concealer, anti-cellulite treatment or mascara.
[0021] Application Method Another subject of the invention is a method for applying a cosmetic product to keratin materials, comprising the following steps: loading the application element of an applicator as defined above with a cosmetic product, - bringing the application element into contact with the keratin materials, - moving the applicator to apply the product to the keratin materials, - changing the orientation of the applicator element with respect to the modulating the pressure exerted on this element, to perform a massage of keratin materials. In the case where the application element is configured to apply a product to a particularly sensitive area, such as an area of the eye contour, the method may comprise the following steps: - positioning the end of the application element resting below an eye, - with a first inclination of the applicator element relative to the rod, driving the application element in rotation about a first axis, in particular an axis perpendicular to the zone, with a second inclination of the applicator element relative to the rod, different from the first one, driving the application element in rotation about a second axis, in particular an axis not perpendicular to the zone; fulcrum. The invention will be better understood on reading the following detailed description, non-limiting examples of implementation, and on examining the appended drawing, in which: FIG. 1 is a diagrammatic view, with axial section, a first example of an applicator according to the invention, - Figure 2 shows schematically and partially, a zoom in axial section, the connecting element of the device of Figure 1, - Figure 3 is a schematic view, with partial axial section, of a second example of an applicator according to the invention, - Figure 4 shows schematically and partially, in front view, the applicator of Figure 3, in position of rest, - Figure 5 shows schematically and partially, in front view, the applicator of Figure 3, after rotation of the application member relative to the rod, in the maximum inclination position - Figure 6 is a schematic view in elevation, with axial section through In a third example of an applicator according to the invention, FIG. 7 schematically and partially shows, in axial section, the connecting element of the device of FIG. 6; FIG. 8 schematically represents and partially, in axial section, the articulation of the device of FIG. 6. - FIG. 9 is a diagrammatic view, with axial section, of a fourth example of an applicator according to the invention, - FIG. schematically and partially, a zoom in axial section, the connecting element of the device of Figure 9, - Figure 11 is a schematic view, in front view, of a fifth example of an applicator according to the invention FIG. 12 schematically and partially shows a zoom in front view of the connecting element of the device of FIG. 11; FIG. 13 represents, in a schematic and partial manner, a zoom in axial section; , the connecting element and a rod portion of the ispositif of Figure 9.
[0022] First example of applicator: The applicator shown in Figures 1 and 2 is intended for the application of a product P on the face or body, for example a moisturizer. The applicator comprises a rod 4, a gripping member 10 and an application element 5. The rod 4, the connecting element 9 and the application element 5 can align along the same longitudinal axis X. The gripping member 10 constitutes a closure cap for a container. It is provided for this purpose with an internal thread 91 configured to be screwed on a threaded neck of the container. The applicator also comprises a hinge 11.
[0023] The application element 5 is made of metal.
[0024] The rod 4 has, in the example considered, a longitudinal axis X straight, which substantially coincides with the axis of the neck of the container when the applicator is in place thereon. A connecting element 9 is attached to the distal end of the rod 4. This attachment is made by a mounting force or clipping. The connecting element 9 comprises: - a flexible outer portion 20, and - a rigid internal portion 21. The flexible portion 20 is made of a softer material than that of the rigid portion 21. For example, the flexible portion 20 is made of a material of the following list: elastomeric material, thermoplastic, thermoplastic elastomer, LDPE, PVC, Hytrel®, EPDM, EVA, SIS, SEBS, SBS, latex, silicone, nitrile, butyl, polyurethane, polyether amide block. The rigid portion 21 is for example made of a polyolefin (PP).
[0025] The rigid portion 21 is for example made of POM or PBT. The flexible portion 20 provides flexibility to the rod 4. At the time of application, the contact between the application member 5 and the skin is softened and the elasticity of the flexible portion 20 is beneficial for the application of the product.
[0026] The rigid portion 21 may be fixed in various ways on the rod 4. It may for example be inserted by force into a housing 211 of the rod 4, as shown in Figure 3. On the other hand the rigid portion 21 comprises a housing 212 for receiving an end of the application element 5.
[0027] The rigid portion 21 comprises a cord 210 connecting the fixing zone in the rod 213 and the housing 212 to receive the applicator. This cord 210 is the area allowing articulation. If this cord has a form of revolution, the joint is a ball joint. If this cord has a flat shape like a sipe, the joint is a pivot. When the connecting element is inclined, the rotation causes bending of the bead 210. This bead 210 then exerts an opposite force which tends to bring the connecting element back to its original position.
[0028] Whatever the stress exerted on the connecting element, it returns to its rest position, as soon as this solicitation ceases. We obtain new massage and make-up gestures that were not possible with conventional applicators.
[0029] The cord 210 plays the role of a spring for a new gesture massage by tapping and pressure. Of course, various modifications can be made to the applicator and in particular to the applicator element and to the flexible portion without departing from the scope of the present invention. The attachment of the flexible portion 20 to the rigid portion 21 can be effected in various ways. At its first axial end, the rigid portion 21 may comprise a head X-axis 21. The head 213 engages in the housing 211 of the rod 4. It may for example comprise an end portion 211 having flat faces 215 and 216 substantially parallel to the axis X and traversed by an opening 214. These faces 215 and 216 taper at their ends to provide a better connection with the rod 4. The housing of the rod 211 has in its inner part notches, allowing clipping between 213 and 211. At its second axial end, the rigid portion 21 may comprise a spherical wall 218. This may define a housing 212 for receiving a spherical portion 51 of the application element 5 The wall 218 may comprise a central stud 217. It may be engaged in a corresponding housing 219 of the portion 51. The central stud 217 makes it possible to keep the applicator in the axis of the rod at rest in the case of a ball joint connection e the connecting element and the applicator. The spherical portion 51 is force-fitted into the housing 212 with the desired clearance. The housing 212 defines a skirt 220 intended to cover the spherical end 51 to prevent disassembly of the intentional or unintentional applicator. The rigid portion 21 is inserted only partially in the rod 4. The connecting element 9 is partially visible. The connecting element 9 shown in FIG. 3 is substantially identical to that shown in FIG. 2, but the penetration depth of the rigid portion 21 in the rod 4 is less.
[0030] The connecting element 9 can be connected to the application element 5 by a ball joint 11, by a pivot or be fixed. The hinge 11 comprises the spherical portion 51 and the housing 212 defining the seat of the joint. Such a ball joint allows a rotation of the application element 5 on itself, around its axis X, relative to the rod 4. Of course, the rotation can go in the direction of clockwise or in reverse. The Y axis of the connecting element can be inclined with respect to the axis X of the rod. The angle ii formed between the X axis of the rod 4 and the Y axis of the applicator element 10 can be modified by the user as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. If the application element also has an articulation with the connecting element, the Z axis of the applicator element can be inclined with respect to the Y axis of the connecting element. The flexible portion 20 partially overlaps the rigid portion 21. It is not beyond the scope of the present invention when the flexible portion completely covers the rigid portion 21. In FIG. 4, it can be seen that the flexible portion 20 comprises an apparent portion which presents: - a collar 231 covering the end of the rigid portion 21, 20 - a retreint 233, - a flange 232 covering the spherical portion 51. As illustrated in Figure 5, the flange 232 abuts against the flange 233 during the moving the application member 5 in rotation. This stop limits the movement of the application element 5. It defines the maximum possible inclination of the applicator. The stop is made by the impact of two flexible parts. The shock is soft and cushioned. The feeling of flexibility felt by the user is pleasant. When the maximum angle ii max is reached (FIG. 5), the application element 5 returns systematically towards its central rest position (FIG. 4). Second example of an applicator: The applicator shown in FIGS. 6 to 8 comprises a connecting element 9 completely housed in the rod 4. The connecting element 9 comprises a flexible cord 20 penetrating into the housing 219 of the element. 5. The housing 219 forms a relatively deep cavity. The ball joint 11 is entirely housed inside the rod 4. The spherical portion 51 is mounted with the desired clearance in the housings 212 and 219. When the application element 5 is inclined, the rotation of the part spherical 51 causes a flexion of the cord 20. This cord 20 then exerts a counter force which tends to bring the spherical portion 51 back to its original position. Whatever the solicitation exerted on the applicator, it returns to its rest position, as soon as this solicitation ceases. We obtain new massage and make-up gestures that were not possible with conventional applicators. The flexible portion 20 acts as a spring for a new gesture of massage by tapping and pressure. The application element 5 may have a textured surface to increase the massage function and the retention of the cosmetic product.
[0031] To use the applicator, the person loads the application element 5 with the product. It brings the application element 5 into contact with the skin. It moves the application element 5 on the skin. It may stop in some places and rotate the application element 5 on itself. She thus performs a quasi-punctual massage by pressure on a place she has chosen, for example for her sensitivity. It can also incline the axis of the application element 5 relative to the axis of the rod 4. The application element 5 is automatically returned to its rest position if the inclination becomes too high.
[0032] Third Applicator Example The applicator shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 comprises an applicator element 5 fixed in the connecting element 9. In this example, the articulation 11 ensures a fixed interlocking of the element of FIG. application 5 and the connecting element 9. The hinge 11 facilitates mounting of the applicator element in the connecting element. The hinge 11 comprises: a portion 511 in the form of a harpoon, and a housing 212 defining the seat of the hinge. The portion 511 is mounted in the housing 212 by inserting the harpoon into the seat 511. The two pieces are secured by a locked fit. The portion 511 defines a clipping notch 513 ensuring the breakdown of the application element 5 in the connecting element 9.
[0033] To use the applicator, the person loads the application element 5 with the product. It brings the application element 5 into contact with the skin. It moves the application element 5 on the skin. It can also incline the axis of the application element 5 relative to the axis of the rod 4. The application element 5 is automatically returned to its rest position if the inclination becomes too high. This return to the rest position is permitted because of the spring effect of the flexible element 20. Fourth example of an applicator The applicator shown in FIGS. 11 to 13 comprises a connecting element 9 bi injected with a rigid upper part 21 and a flexible lower part 20. The applicator is clipped into the rod 4. When it is pivoted by pressing on the skin, this stretches the flexible portion 20 which automatically brings the application member 5 in its axis ( X) when the pressure on the application element 5 disappears. The articulation (11) provides relative mobility of the applicator element (5) and the connecting element (9). Moreover, the flexible portion 20 ensures the bending of the axis of the application element 5 relative to the axis of the rod 4. The application element 5 is automatically returned to its rest position if this tilt becomes too high. This return to the rest position is permitted because of the spring effect of the flexible element 20. Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments which have just been described. The characteristics of the various embodiments may for example be combined with one another to achieve new embodiments in accordance with the invention. In particular, the application element may be different. The composition of the connecting element and its arrangement with respect to the stem may be different. The articulation could be of any other nature. The invention also relates to an applicator for applying a product to keratin materials, comprising: an application element, a rod, a connecting element fixed to the rod, this connecting element defining a necking, - said connecting element comprising an elastically deformable flexible portion that can flex upon application of the product to the keratin materials and a rigid portion, said rigid portion passing through said constriction. The expression "having one" shall be understood as being synonymous with "having at least one", unless the opposite is specified.
