专利说明:
The present invention relates to a ventilation equalization box for balancing airflow between a ventilation duct and a terminal, such as a roof diffuser, comprising an at least one air inlet collar and at least one air outlet collar having a rectangular barrel shaped body, at least two interconnected portions comprising at least an outer portion and an inner portion. The invention thus relates to an air duct balancing box used, for example, before a supply air terminal, such as a ceiling diffuser. Typically, the expansion box has one inlet having a connecting collar. The collar is used to connect the expansion box to a duct from which air flows to the expansion box. In addition, the equalization box has an outlet, which is also provided with a connecting collar, which allows the equalization box to be connected to a terminal such as a ceiling diffuser. Typically, the connection collar of the expansion box inlet is directed sideways and is thus connected to a horizontal duct. The outlet collar of the expansion box, in turn, is directed downwards so that it is at an angle of 90 ° to the collar of the inlet. Of course, the balance box can also be used in connection with exhaust air, in which case the flow direction is reversed. Some of the equalization boxes with an angle of 90 ° between the duct connection and the diffuser operate in such a way that the outlet direction is horizontal to the side, but the duct connection can be from the top, bottom or side. There is also a box design with no 90 ° angle between the duct connection and the diffuser connection. In this model, the blowing is done in a straight line from the front wall. The function of the equalization box is to equalize and control the flow of air, as its name implies. The equalization box may also have air flow control and measurement means. In addition, the equalization box can be provided with damping elements, thereby also attenuating the sound. The present invention relates to the structure of an expansion box. At present, the walls of the equalization boxes typically consist of at least three parts, for example two separate ends and one continuous sheath. In the assembly, a V-shape is first carried around the edges, interleaved with the counterpart, and a compression joint is made. The compression joints are massaged from the inside to seal the expansion box. Edges can also be joined with pop rivets, spot welds, wire welds or lathe ends. Combinations of these joints are also used. Prior art balancing boxes have a problem with protruding damper parts and joints as they take up space and complicate installation. The size of the expansion box is to be kept as small as possible. In addition, the manufacturing technology and appearance are to be modernized. It is an object of the present invention to provide a new type of ventilation equalization box without the problems described above. The balancing box according to the invention is characterized in that the free edges of the outer part and the inner part are bent substantially 90 ° inwards, and that the parts are locked together by means of claws close to the edges of the parts. A preferred embodiment of the balancing box according to the invention is characterized in that there are claws near the edges of the outer part for positioning the edges of the inner part when assembling the balancing box. Another advantageous embodiment of the balancing box according to the invention is characterized in that the end of the inner part has end claws which are locked in the holes in the edge folds of the outer part. Yet another preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the claws have a sharp inner angle to which the corresponding edge of the counterpiece is locked when assembling the expansion box. Advantages of the invention may be mentioned that the manufacturing of the expansion box is accelerated due to the short assembly time. In addition, the finished alignment box looks better because it has no extra protruding seams, welding marks or pop rivets. In the balancing box according to the invention, the assembly of the parts does not require any machine or tools. The structure is rigid, sturdy and compact. The invention will now be explained in more detail by means of preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 shows the two interconnected parts of the balancing box according to the invention separately. Figure 2 shows the parts of Figure 1 assembled. Fig. 3 is an oblique top view of an expansion box according to the invention. Fig. 4 is an enlarged and partially sectioned detail of A in Fig. 3. Figure 5 is an enlarged and partially sectioned detail of B in Figure 3. Figure 6 is a sectional view of a nail according to the invention. In Figure 1 is shown a plenum box according to the invention, the frame two substantially U-shaped parts 1 and 2 which are connected together as shown in the arrow N. 2 and 3, which is substantially rectangular in shape. Each U-shaped part 1, 2 is bent from a sheet of steel without seams or other joining. In the future, part 1 will be the so-called. the outer part and the part 2 are so-called. inner part. The outer part 1 comprises a top and bottom plate and one end. Correspondingly, the inner part 2 comprises both sides and one end. The free ends of the outer part 1 are slightly extended during the assembly step so that the inner part 2 is positioned past the edge folds 5, 6. The application will be restored as soon as the grip is removed and at the same time the parts will be locked together as described below. The outer part 1 has pre-formed collars 3 and 4 for connecting the equalization box to the ventilation duct and the terminal, such as a ceiling diffuser, in a manner known per se. Near the edges of the outer part 1 there is a so-called. nails 7 which position the peripheral fold 8 of the inner part 2 with the edge fold 9 of the outer part 1 (Fig. 4). The claws are arranged on the long sides at substantially equal intervals of 3-5 per nail. For example, the number at the end may be 2 per edge. The end 2 'of the inner part 2 has corresponding end claws 10 which engage in the rectangular holes 11 in the peripheral folds 5 and 6 of the outer part 1 when assembling the balancing box (Fig. 5). For example, there are 3 end nails per edge, for example a total of 6 at the end. These numbers are not limiting of the invention but are preferred examples. The edge folds 5, 6, 8, 9 are substantially 90 ° inward. The inner corners 5, 6, 9 of the outer folds 1 have a sealing compound extruded before assembly, which, upon drying, finally locks the components together. The purpose of the nails 7, 10 is to keep the parts 1, 2 of the leveling box immobile relative to one another during drying. Figure 6 is a cross-sectional view of the nail 7. Essential in this form is a sharp corner designated by the reference numeral 12, in which the leading edge 8 of the inner portion 1 is locked as shown in Figure 4. The end nail 10 in the inner part may have substantially the same shape as the nail 7. In this case, the edge of the substantially rectangular bore 11 in the outer part is locked. It will be clear to one skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments set forth above, but may be varied within the scope of the appended claims. The outer and inner parts are joined together in the same way at both the top and bottom, although the description and the illustrations mainly show the connection of the upper part. If necessary, the symbols which may be presented in the specification together with other characteristics may also be used separately.
