The invention relates to a tool for opening and / or closing a rotatable joint. The invention relates in particular to a tool used to open and close a rotating joint of relatively large dimensions. Larger rotating joints are used with crushers and other heavy machinery. For example, the inner jacket of a cone crusher is often attached to a support cone by a threaded connection between the thread of the main shaft and the fastening nut. The threaded joint tends to tighten while the crusher is running, so opening the joint requires a greater release force. The nut is substantially annular, i.e. the wall thickness is much smaller than the diameter of the nut, whereby the nut tends to bite into the thread when removed due to the deformation in the nut. In this case, it would be advantageous to open the nut with a force which is evenly distributed on the circumference of the nut. In connection with maintenance work, the joint is opened with standard impact-based tools, which are difficult to use due to space constraints. The use of these tools is also demanding in terms of occupational safety and is likely to cause accidents at work. The tool according to the invention can be used to open and close rotatable joints safely and quickly. The first gripping member of the tool is placed in connection with the rotating part of the form-fitting rotatable joint, and at the same time the second gripping member of the tool is placed in connection with the fixed part of the joint. The second gripping member is then rotated by the actuator relative to the first gripping member, whereby the gripping member is tightened to a fixed part and the connection opens or closes depending on the direction of rotation. The tool according to the invention comprises a pivot ring, a first gripping member and a second gripping member. The first gripping member is a plate with form-fitting surfaces to be fitted to the joint nut 2. In connection with the first gripping member, there are z actuators which move the grippers of the second gripping member. The second gripping members N are articulated to the pivot ring and adapted to grip the main shaft of the crusher. The pivot ring consists of a top plate and a lower guide plate, S 30, between the plates of which the grippers of the second gripping member are arranged. Continuing the movement of the actuators causes a counter-rotational movement between the first and second gripping members, whereby the nut opens. The first gripping member has an internal shape-closed shape with - typically four rectangular or square grooves. Said shape fits in shape with the corresponding external shape of the nut. The second gripping member consists of two grippers articulated in connection with the pivot ring, which are moved by actuators connected to the first gripping member, such as hydraulic cylinders. The gripper consists of a plate-like lever arrangement which is articulated in connection with the pivot ring. The gripper also has a cylindrical surface which fits on the cylindrical surface of the main shaft, with gripping pieces to improve the friction properties of the gripper. The present invention overcomes the shortcomings of the known solutions and provides a tool for opening and closing rotatable joints. The invention enables a tool with which larger rotatable joints can be opened and closed safely and with good speed.
