[0016] In the patent of invention ES 2545835 B2, of the same applicant a lateral cutting tap for beer dispenser is described, comprising a hollow body provided with a beer inlet and an outlet towards a dispensing spout, and an opening and closing valve provided with an angled passage to control the passage of beer from the entrance to the exit, when it is actuated through an axis linked to a turning lever.

[0018] In said invention, the faucet is provided with means for selecting the position of the handle that secure and fix the handle in at least one specific position of closing the tap, and a specific position of atomizing the beer for the creation of foam , without having to hold the handle for it.

1. Beer dispenser tap; which includes:
- a tap body (1) provided with an inlet (11) and an outlet (12) of beer;
- an opening and closing valve (2) associated with an actuation lever (23), said valve (2) being provided with an inner passage (21) and housed in the body (1) with the possibility of turning between positions of opening and closing the beer passage and,
- valve retention means in an intermediate position of foam generation; characterized in that:
- the valve (2) comprises a calibrated orifice (25) of a suitable section to generate a predetermined amount of beer foam when the valve (2) is disposed in the intermediate foam generation position, in which the passage (21 ) of the opening valve is in a closed position and said calibrated orifice (25) facing the beer inlet (11), establishing a communication between the beer inlet (11) and the passage (21) of the valve ;
- the means for retaining the valve in said intermediate position are arranged in the body (1) and in a rotating part (24) integral with the lever (23) for operating the tap; said retention means comprising:
- a retention ball (3), housed in a hole of the body (1) or of the rotating part (24), and which is moved by a spring (31) to an outstanding position; Y
- a retention plate (4), coupled to the rotating part (24) or the body (1), which forms a contact surface of the retention ball (3) during the relative rotation of the body (1) and the part swivel (24), and the opening and closing of the tap, said retention plate comprising a recess (41) arranged in a suitable position for the fit of the ball (3) and the retention of the handle (23) and the valve (2) in the intermediate position of foam generation.
