[0002] Pad printing machine for footwear parts and its operating procedure
[0003]
[0004] Technical Field of the Invention
[0005]
[0006] The present invention corresponds to the technical field of footwear, in particular to a pad printing machine in pieces of footwear, such as soles, heels or the like and the operation thereof.
[0007]
[0008] Background of the Invention
[0009]
[0010] At present there is a growing demand for more quantity and variety in the design of footwear, which generates a search for new designs and new ways of realizing them.
[0011]
[0012] In view of the fact that the use of new materials in the realization of the parts of the footwear, can generate an increase of the same, there is an upward trend consisting of the printing of parts of it, such as heels or soles, which provide a range of infinite possibilities in terms of design without implying an increase in the price of footwear, which favors that any user can access these products.
[0013]
[0014] To carry out these print jobs, pad printing machines are used that normally consist of an area in which to place the object to be printed, an inkwell, a cliché with the image that you want to stamp on the object and a buffer that is what is responsible for taking the image of the cliché and leave it printed on that object.
[0015]
[0016] The problem is that most of these machines are designed for printing flat objects, using a buffer that acts by pressure, first on the cliché and then on the object to be printed, so they are not able to generate continuous printing at along the entire sole of footwear, and the necessary realization of two different impressions of both sides of the sole, generates two lines of union of both impressions and the consequent defect of aesthetics and quality.
[0017] In most of these pad printing machines, first a movement of the inkwell is performed on the cliché to impregnate it with ink and then, the tampon must perform a similar movement of displacement, to position itself on the cliché, and then press it to keep the image of the cliché impregnated on its surface. Then you must make another displacement by placing on the object to be printed, with a new pressure movement, leave the image printed on the object.
[0018]
[0019] All these movements that the inkwell and the buffer must necessarily perform in order to carry out an impression, generate a dilation in the process time, which causes these machines to have low productivity.
[0020]
[0021] As an example of the prior art, reference documents ES0258528 and ES2586464 can be mentioned.
[0022]
[0023] The reference document ES0258528 refers to a machine with an operation like the one proposed, that is, it has a housing with an area to position the object to be printed, arranged at the same level as the cliché inside a inkwell and the operation consists in that after impregnating the tampon with ink, an advance of a car is carried out that simultaneously achieves the positioning of the tampon on the object and the inking of the cliché. After that, the tampon is lowered onto the object, printing the image and then raised in a recoil cart that simultaneously places the tampon on the cliché and cleans it of the excess ink, the tampon drops again taking the impression of the cliché, to resume the cycle again.
[0024]
[0025] In this type of machine, as explained, the image is marked with a line of union in the front and another in the back and with little intensity of printing in both areas, so that the result is some pieces of footwear with Low print quality
[0026]
[0027] Thus, these machines may be appropriate for flat objects, but not for volumetric objects that require printing along the entire surface.
[0028]
[0029] Reference document ES2586464 defines a pad printing machine, comprising a frame with an upright for an image plate, a rotating buffer and an inkwell for inking the buffer comprising a rotating support provided with rotating means for holding the object to be padded.
[0030] In this case, a continuous impression of the object is being sought, which avoids the uncomfortable lines of union between printing passes and this is achieved by rotating support of the object to be printed. However, this machine still has certain drawbacks, since the cliché that is in a flat element must move in this case under the inkwell, from which it takes the ink by gravity.
[0031]
[0032] Thus, it is necessary to move the car with the flat plate containing the cliché, forward and backward, to impregnate the cliché with ink. During this displacement of the cliché plate, the image of the cliché is generated simultaneously by the rotating buffer and, subsequently, the object is placed in contact with the buffer and when it is rotated, printing thereof begins.
[0033]
[0034] This presents certain disadvantages, since in the advance of the cliché to soak up ink, the buffer is behind the inkwell, so as the cliché is impregnated, it passes under the buffer, which takes the image thereof.
[0035]
[0036] However, after printing the object, the cliché must return to the initial position by a displacement in the opposite direction that will impregnate it with ink again, but in this sense of displacement of the cliché, the sections of the cliché pass before the tampon that under the inkwell, so that the tampon is going to roll on the dry cliché, and parts of ink that have overflowed or have remained in the cliché after the previous printing and remain dry are easily attached. This creates imperfections in subsequent impressions of the buffer.
[0037]
[0038] In addition, the rotary support is only capable of holding a single object to be pad printed, so that after each printing the printed object must be released to place a new object and this generates a slow and tedious printing process.
[0039]
[0040] On the other hand, the change of cliché is cumbersome, since they are usually subject by means of bolted means that slow down the process of placement and removal to change the same, as it happens with the change of shoe lasts subject to the rotating support.
[0041]
[0042] In addition, in the clichés subject in this way, with bolted elements, there is the disadvantage that in the area between screws an arc is formed in which dust motes are accumulated that remain under the ink, so that when pressing he tampon, the speck adheres to it and generates a mark on the printing on the object Therefore, it is a machine that although partially solves the problem of the continuity of printing, continues to present disadvantages that reduce productivity.
[0043]
[0044] No machine has been found in the state of the art that achieves continuous printing and at the same time solves these inconveniences so that it results in high productivity.
[0045]
[0046] Description of the invention
[0047]
[0048] The pad printing machine for pieces of footwear presented here comprises a rotating device of at least one last of the shoe piece, and at least one inkwell, a cliché and a printing buffer.
[0049]
[0050] In this pad printing machine, the rotating device comprises at least a first clamping element contained in a vertical plane, which has turning means with respect to a central axis, and at least one last held by a rotation axis perpendicular to it, connected to a turning means.
[0051]
[0052] Likewise, this machine comprises associated with each clamping element of the rotating device, a longitudinal and fixed flat cliché, arranged perpendicularly and facing the clamping element with a first and second opposite ends, the first end being the one located further away of the holding element, a closed inkwell arranged on the cliché and, a buffer disposed between the inkwell and the second end of the cliché, formed by a roller with a central axis of rotation attached to a tilting arm.
[0053]
[0054] This tilting arm has a first resting position in which the buffer is on the cliché in contact with it and a second working position, in which the arm is raised with respect to the first position and the buffer is arranged at a height above the cliché so that it is aligned with the last of the clamping element.
[0055]
[0056] Both the inkwell and the swingarm are fixed to a carriage secured by sliding guides on both sides of the cliché, which allows the movement of both on the cliché and along it, in both directions.
[0057] On the other hand, during the movement of the carriage towards the second end of the cliché, the tilting arm is located in the first resting position and, when the tampon reaches the second end of the cliché for printing the shoe piece and during displacement of the carriage towards the first end thereof, the swing arm is located in the second working position.
[0058]
[0059] In this report, in turn, it is proposed an operation procedure of a pad printing machine, for printing on a piece of footwear, as previously defined, which presents the phases set forth below.
[0060]
[0061] The first phase consists of fixing a piece of footwear in the at least one last of the at least one first fastening element.
[0062]
[0063] Then, a second phase of regulating the distance of the rotating device with respect to the buffer, depending on the size of the shoe piece, by means of the movement means thereof.
[0064]
[0065] The third phase is the initial displacement of the carriage to the second end of the cliché, and return to the first end, such that the inkwell impregnates said cliché.
[0066]
[0067] Next, the fourth phase consists of the rotational movement of the rotating device, a determined positioning angle such that the last presented by the piece of footwear to be printed is placed in front of the cliché.
[0068]
[0069] The fifth phase is the tilting movement of the rotating device in the direction of the buffer, by means of the tilting means, such that the last form presented by the piece of footwear to be printed is arranged in the printing position.
[0070]
[0071] Simultaneously to the rotational and tilting movements of the rotating device, the sixth phase of the carriage is carried out from the first end of the cliché to the second end thereof, with the tilting arm in a first rest position, such that the image of the cliché is completely marked in the buffer.
[0072]
[0073] Next, the seventh phase formed by the tilting movement of the tilting arm from the first resting position to the second working position takes place, such that the buffer is aligned with the last arranged in the printing position.
[0074] The eighth phase consists of the simultaneous rotation of the tampon and the last with the footwear piece, in the direction of opposite turns, such that the image of the tampon is printed on the footwear piece.
[0075]
[0076] Next, the ninth phase of carriage movement takes place from the second end of the cliché to the first end thereof, with the swing arm in a second working position.
[0077]
[0078] The tenth phase consists in the tilting movement of the tilting arm from the second working position to the first resting position, such that the buffer is arranged on the cliché prepared to initiate a new copy of the cliché image.
[0079]
[0080] And finally, the last phase of extraction of the piece of printed footwear.
[0081]
[0082] With the footwear pad printing machine and the operation procedure proposed here, a significant improvement in the state of the art is obtained.
[0083]
[0084] This is so thanks to the cylindrical buffer, a machine capable of continuous printing on three-dimensional pieces is achieved, such as a shoe sole, at one time and therefore with a single start / end line of the Print.
[0085]
[0086] In addition, taking advantage of said cylindrical shape of the buffer, a displacement thereof is generated on the cliché, at the same time that the inkwell is moved, so that at the same time of displacement the cliché is impregnated with ink and the image thereof is copied in the buffer. And this is done so that the buffer does not move through the cliché at any time when it is not impregnated with ink, to avoid adhering pieces of dried ink that can cause printing defects.
[0087]
[0088] By joining the displacements of the inkwell and the buffer, less time is achieved in the printing process and therefore greater productivity.
[0089]
[0090] In addition, being the inkwell that moves and not the cliché, a simpler machine is achieved.
[0091] The assembly and disassembly times of the cliché are also reduced, by means of a clamp formed by an electromagnet, which also eliminates the traditional screwed elements, prevents printing errors due to dust motes accumulated in the arches between them.
[0092]
[0093] It is therefore a very efficient and simple machine and its operation, which are more productive than those currently available.

[0108]
[0109] Detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the invention
[0110]
[0111] In view of the figures provided, it can be seen how in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the pad printing machine (1) for shoe pieces (2), which here it is proposed, it comprises a rotating device (3) of at least one last (4) for securing the shoe piece (2), at least one inkwell (5), a cliché (6) and a buffer (7) of Print.
[0112]
[0113] The rotating device (3) comprises at least a first clamping element (8) contained in a vertical plane, which has turning means with respect to a central axis (9), and at least one last (4) held by an axis of turn (10) perpendicular to it, connected to means of rotation.
[0114]
[0115] In this embodiment, the rotating device (3) comprises a single clamping element (8) that is formed by a flat bar comprising two lasts (4) each arranged at one of the ends thereof, as shown in Figures 1, 3.1 and 3.2. However, in other embodiments, it may comprise a second fastener, in which case it has the same shape as the first fastener, is parallel thereto and is connected to the same central axis.
[0116]
[0117] Likewise, in these other possible embodiments that have two fasteners, both have a first and a second opposite surface and are arranged with the second surface of both facing. In these cases, each last is attached to the first surface of the first or second holding element respectively, and the second holding element has the same number of lasts as the first holding element, arranged in correspondence therewith, attached to the same axis. of rotation and connected to the same means of rotation of the lasts of the first fastener, such that said means of rotation are located between the second surface of both first and second fasteners.
[0118]
[0119] The pad printing machine (1) presented here comprises associated with each clamping element (8), which as already indicated, in this case it is a single clamping element (8), a longitudinal plane cliché (6) and fixed, arranged perpendicularly and in front of the clamping element (8), with a first and second ends (6.1, 6.2) opposite, the first end being located furthest from the clamping element (8), an inkwell ( 5) closed arranged on the cliché (6) and, a buffer (7) disposed between the inkwell (5) and the second end (6.2) of the cliché (6).
[0120]
[0121] As shown in Figure 1, the buffer (7) is formed by a roller with a central axis of rotation attached to a swing arm (11). This swing arm (11) has a first resting position, represented in Figure 3.1, in which the buffer (7) is on the cliché (6), in contact with it, and a second working position, represented in Figure 3.2, in which the arm (11) is elevated with respect to the first position and the buffer (7) is arranged at a height above the cliché (6) such that it is aligned with the last (4) to be printed of the clamping element (8).
[0122]
[0123] In Figure 1 it can also be seen that both the inkwell (5) and the swing arm (11) are fixed to a carriage (12) held by sliding guides (13) on both sides of the cliché (6), which allows the displacement of both on the cliché (6) and along it in both directions.
[0124]
[0125] Thus, during the movement of the carriage (12) towards the second end (6.2) of the cliché (6), the swing arm (11) is in the first rest position, shown in Figure 3.1, so that the buffer (7) is arranged on the cliché (6) and in contact with it and therefore, the image presented by the cliché (6) is marked, thanks to the ink left by the inkwell (5).
[0126]
[0127] On the other hand, when the buffer (7) reaches the second end (6.2) of the cliché (6) the swing arm (11) changes to the second working position, as can be seen in Figure 3.2, so that the buffer ( 7) It is aligned with the last (4) to be printed, in order to be able to print the piece of footwear (2) attached to it. This second position is also maintained once the impression has been made, during the movement of the carriage (12) towards the first end (6.1) of the cliché (6), to return to the initial position. Thus, on returning to the initial position, the inkwell (5) re-impregnates the ink cliché (6) and the buffer (7) does not touch the cliché (6).
[0128]
[0129] The pad printing machine (1), in this preferred embodiment of the invention, comprises means for rotating the buffer (7), formed by a motor connected to the central rotation axis thereof.
[0130]
[0131] As shown in Figures 3.1 and 3.2, the machine (1), in this embodiment also, comprises a support structure (14) such that the central axis of the rotating device is connected to it by a clamping frame (15 ) which has tilting means and displacement means thereof.
[0132] In this preferred embodiment of the invention, the support structure (14) comprises at least two horizontal parallel bars (17) and, the clamping frame (15) of the rotating device (3) comprises a first and a second bars of connection (18) having a first end (18.1) fixed to the central axis (9) of rotation of the rotating device (3) and a second end (18.2) attached to one of the parallel bars (17) of said support structure (14) ). Said connecting bars (18) are connected by an intermediate point by a transverse bar (19) (in the Figures this bar is shown only in section and the contour of said section is shown in discontinuous form, as it is hidden behind one of the bars connection (18)).
[0133]
[0134] As shown in Figures 3.1 and 3.2, the tilting means of the clamping frame (15) are formed by a linear actuator (20) connected by a first end to the crossbar (19) and by a second end to the structure of support (14) in an area close to the second end (6.2) of the cliché (6), and the movement of said linear actuator (20) is synchronized with the turning means of the two lasts (4) and, the means of displacement of the clamping frame (15) are formed by positioning holes (not shown) in both parallel bars (17) of the support structure (14) and an anchoring element therein at the second end (18.2) of both connecting rods (18) of the clamping frame (15).
[0135]
[0136] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the machine (1) also comprises a protective housing (16) inside which all these elements are located, avoiding accidents during their operation.
[0137]
[0138] In order to reduce the assembly and disassembly times of the cliché, in this preferred embodiment of the invention, this machine comprises means for fastening the cliché (6) to the support structure (14), formed by an electromagnet connected to A battery.
[0139]
[0140] In this preferred embodiment, the machine comprises control means formed by a control panel (22), shown in Figures 2, 3.1 and 3.2, connected to the rotating means of the rotating device (3), to the turning means of the last (4), to the linear actuator (20) of the tilting means of the holding frame (15) of the rotating device (3) and to the rotating means of the buffer (7).
[0141] As can be seen in Figures 2 and 4, the lasts (4), in this case two, are formed by a first longitudinal piece (23) connected to the axis of rotation (10), two fixing elements (24) of the piece of the footwear (2) and means for regulating the distance between them, formed by a second longitudinal piece (25) arranged on the first longitudinal piece (23) and of length equal to or less than this, which has a set of holes (21) fitting along the same, suitable to fit in each of them one of said fixing elements (24) of the piece of footwear (2).
[0142]
[0143] With this last (4) it is possible to hold pieces of footwear (2) of any size, so that it is not necessary to be changing lasts (4) every time the size changes, but they are a simple regulation of the fasteners ( 24), it is possible to adapt the last (4) to other sizes.
[0144]
[0145] In this preferred embodiment of the invention, the buffer (7) has two bases and a lateral surface between them, the outer diameter of the central section of the buffer being greater than the outer diameter of the section at the height of the bases. With this form a better primer of the pieces is possible, since the curvature of the lateral surface allows to reach difficult areas.
[0146]
[0147] In this preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotation means relative to a perpendicular axis of rotation of each last (4) of the clamping element (8) are formed by a motor.
[0148]
[0149] As can be seen in Figures 1, 3.1 and 3.2, the inkwell (5) of this machine (1) has automatic refill means, formed by a reservoir (39) of ink arranged on the inkwell (5) and attached to the carriage (12), with a discharge duct (40) inside said ink fountain (5).
[0150]
[0151] In this preferred embodiment of the invention, as shown in Figure 1, the machine (1) comprises means for automatically extracting the shoe pieces (2) arranged at the first end (18.1) of the connecting bar (18) of the clamping frame (15) of the rotating device (3). In this embodiment, said extraction means are formed by a mechanism (41) of connecting rods and a pneumatic piston.
[0152] In this report a method of operation of a pad printing machine (1) is also proposed, for printing on a piece of footwear (2), as described in the preferred embodiment.
[0153]
[0154] This procedure, of which a block diagram is shown in Figure 5, has a first fixing phase (26) of a piece of footwear (2) in the at least one last (4) for securing the at least one first element clamping (8).
[0155]
[0156] Next, a regulation (27) of the distance of the rotating device (3) with respect to the buffer (7) is carried out, depending on the size of the shoe piece (2), by means of the movement means thereof.
[0157]
[0158] The third phase consists in the initial displacement (28) of the carriage (12) towards the second end (6.2) of the cliché (6), and return to the first end (6.1), such that the ink fountain (5) impregnates said ink cliché (6). This initial displacement is necessary in which the buffer (7) is not in contact with the cliché (6), and only the inkwell (5) impregnates the ink thereof, both in the first leg and in the round.
[0159]
[0160] The fourth phase is in which the turning movement (29) of the rotating device (3) is performed, a determined positioning angle such that the last (4) presented by the shoe piece (2) to be printed is placed in front of the cliché (6).
[0161]
[0162] Next, the tilting movement (30) of the rotating device (3) is made in the direction of the buffer (7), by means of the tilting means, such that the last lash (4) presented by the shoe piece (2) a Print is arranged in the print position.
[0163]
[0164] Simultaneously to said turning and tilting movements (29, 30) of the rotating device (3), the carriage (31) of the carriage (12) is made from the first end (6.1) of the cliché (6) to the second end (6.2) thereof, with the arm (11) tilting in a first rest position, such that the image of the cliché (6) is completely marked in the buffer (7).
[0165]
[0166] The next phase consists in the tilting movement (32) of the tilting arm (11) from the first resting position to the second working position, such that the buffer (7) is aligned with the last (4) arranged in the position of impression.
[0167] Next, the simultaneous rotation (33) of the buffer (7) and the last (4) with the footwear piece (2) takes place, in the direction of opposite turns, such that the image of the buffer (7) is printed on the piece of footwear (2);
[0168]
[0169] Once the printing has been done, the next phase is the movement (34) of the carriage (12) from the second end (6.2) of the cliché (6) to the first end (6.1) of the same, with the arm (11). ) swingarm in a second work position.
[0170]
[0171] Once the carriage (12) reaches the first end (6.1) of the cliché (6), the tilting movement (35) of the tilting arm (11) takes place from the second working position to the first resting position, such that the buffer (7) is arranged on the cliché (6) prepared to start a new copy of the cliché image (6).
[0172]
[0173] Finally, simultaneous extraction (36) of the printed shoe piece (2) is carried out.
[0174]
[0175] In this preferred embodiment of the invention, the extraction (36) of the printed shoe piece (2) comprises a first stage of tilting movement (37) of the rotating device (3), in the opposite direction to the cliché (6) by means of the tilting means and, a second stage of rotation movement (38) of the rotating device (3) a determined exit angle, such that the last (4) with the printed shoe piece (2) moves from the position Print to a new extraction position.
[0176]
[0177] Furthermore, since this pad printing machine (1) comprises more than one last (4) in the clamping element (8) of the rotating device (3), the angle of departure of the turning movement (38) of the rotating device (3) it is equal to the positioning angle of a last (4) arranged consecutively to the last (4) of holding the printed shoe piece (2).
[0178]
[0179] Thus, when one last (4) is placed in the starting position, the other last (4) is placed in the print placement of a new piece of footwear.
[0180]
[0181] The described embodiment constitutes only an example of the present invention, therefore, the specific details, terms and phrases used herein are not to be considered as limiting, but are only to be understood as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis that provides a description understandable as well as sufficient information to the person skilled in the art to apply the present invention.
