DESCRIPTION
DEVICE AND METHOD OF CLEANING AND RECYCLING OF USED TONERS
The object of the present invention is a device and a method of cleaning and recycling the laser printer toners already used.
State of the art
At present there are no known effective methods for cleaning and recycling used laser printer toners, once they have been used and discarded. This, in part, is due to the fact that they are not significant enough waste to use resources for cleaning and recycling, to the point where, currently, one of the most used forms is the burial of the toner, with the environmental problems of all nature that this entails.
Another solution used today is to use electronic waste management systems, but these facilities are generally refrigerated with a gas such as nitrogen that prevents deflagrations. The problem of these facilities for the low yield in rich materials that have the toner cartridges, is very expensive, and therefore it is necessary to look for an alternative solution that did not require to use gases or treat them later.
In addition, electronic waste management facilities are usually plants of several hundred square meters, whose use for the recycling of toners is usually not profitable, since it is not possible to reconcile the use of the management plant for the recycling of toners with the management and recycling of other waste from the electronics industry.
Description of the invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide the industry with a device and method of cleaning and recycling used toners that is environmentally sustainable and economically profitable. All this in accordance with the device of the first claim that accompanies the present specification. Particular embodiments of the device of claim one are described in dependent claims. On the other hand,
In a second aspect of the invention, a method of cleaning and recycling of

used toners used by the device described in claim one.
Thus, the present invention describes a powerful suction system for toner powders, which is magnetized by magnetic particles which are what precisely make the ink can be used in laser printers. It is an object of the present invention to previously demagnetize the toner powder for recycling. Another important point to keep in mind of the present invention is the explosion protection (ATEX) since the toner powder tends to deflagrate.
Throughout the description and the claims the word "comprises" and its variants are not intended to exclude other technical characteristics, additives, components or steps. For those skilled in the art, other objects, advantages and features of the invention will be derived partly from the description and partly from the practice of the invention. The following examples and drawings are provided by way of illustration, and are not intended to restrict the present invention. In addition, the present invention covers all possible combinations of particular and preferred embodiments indicated herein.
Brief description of the figures
Next, a series of drawings that help to better understand the invention and that expressly relate to an embodiment of said invention that is presented as a non-limiting example thereof is described very briefly.
FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the device object of the present invention.
Statement of a detailed embodiment of the invention
As can be seen in the attached figure, the used toner cleaning and recycling device, comprising: an inlet (1) of toner cartridges and a conveyor belt (2) that connects the inlet (1) with a mill shredder (3).
On the other hand, the grinder mill (3) comprises a dust suction outlet connected with a suction system (4) of toner powder; and an output connected to a first
endless (31) output which, in turn, feeds a sieve (5) with three outputs: a first output

of powder (particle size of less than 1 mm) connected to the suction system (4) of the toner powder; a second crushing outlet (for particle sizes between 1 -30 mm); and a third recirculation outlet connected with a second auger (51) return to the grinder mill (3) for granulometries greater than 30 mm.
The second crushing outlet feeds a vibrating belt (6) and from this vibrating belt (6) to a Foucault separator (7) comprising: (a) a first outlet of inert materials; and (b) a second exit of metallic materials.
The conveyor belt (2) in a particular embodiment is a U-profile structure conveyor belt with complete (or semi-complete) enclosure to reduce as much as possible the presence of dust in the environment. The upper enclosure includes an optional suction socket, if necessary to reduce the dust produced. Explosion-proof or ATEX protections are: (a) a 1.5 kW motor-reducer with ATEX 21 certification; and (b) an emergency switch with ATEX 21 certification.
The grinder mill (3) is a two-rotor shredder mill. Its operation, with low speed rotation and the careful design of the cutting discs, prevents the generation of sparks in the crushing zone. The feed hopper has a suction socket to recover the dust generated during the crushing of the toner cartridges. Its sound level is 75 dB (1.5 m high and 1 m apart from the machine) and the ATEX or antiexplosione protections are: (a) a 15 kW three phase WEG electric motor according to ATEX 94/9 EC Zone regulations 21/22; (b) an electrical control panel: it is recommended to install the electrical panel remote from the machine. The wiring, interlocks and other safety devices on the machine comply with ATEX 94/9. If the electrical panel is placed next to the grinder mill (3), all the anti-explosion components should be included; and (c) sheet metal fencing to drive possible explosions upwards, protecting personnel (according to ATEX directive).
The screen (5) is watertight for the separation of the crushed material into three fractions: powder (material below 1 mm), material for recirculation (material above 30 mm) and material for magnetic separation / induction (between 1 and 30 mm ). It has two suction areas: one on the hood of the material and another to collect the dust fraction from the separator. ATEX protections include vibrators with IP 66 protection (IEC529, EN60529) and ATEX II 2D certification (zone 21) of 1.1 kW.
The device is completed with a suction system (4) configured for collection and
4
dust filtering generated in the plant. It consists of a filtration area of 120 m2 and a flow of 9,800 m3 / h. In addition, it comprises a stainless steel filtration chamber with 12 anti-static polyester cartridges. Dust is discharged to the dust collection drawer by means of a rotary valve to prevent it from escaping into the environment. The sound level 5 is 75 dB and the ATEX protections are: a 15 kW fan, ATEX 22 directive and a 0.55 kW rotary valve, ATEX 22.
