5 OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a support for road guard protections.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
10 Protection barriers against the exit of vehicles on roads are known in civil engineering in order to protect against falls from embankments or invasion of other roads. These barriers comprise a series of supports in whose upper part a continuous profile is mounted. This profile generally has a double wave form, which is why these barriers are
15 known as biondas.
These barriers offer good protection, which is why they are profusely extended by the road network. However, a problem has been manifested with its use, consisting of the supports of these barriers, which are currently laminated section profiles
20 in I, cause serious injuries in case of direct collision with the body of a person projected against said support. For this reason, motorists are a group that is very damaged in these types of accidents.
To try to solve this problem, we tried to protect the media with elements
25 deformable, typically tubular, but since the posts are solidly fixed to the ground by foundation to resist the great energy of the collision of a vehicle, the collision of a body against them will always suffer a serious injury, having only eliminated in the existing protections split the partial sectioning of the body when covering the edges of the profile of the support, but without preventing even serious injuries.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The support for road guard protections of the invention has a configuration that allows its dismemberment in case of direct collision with it, but maintaining
35 the solidity of the support in the event of a vehicle collision with the upper continuous profile, be it

Bionda or not.
In accordance with the invention, the support comprises: a stack of pieces comprising a lower fixed base part provided with means for joining to the ground, a fixed ridge piece for coupling a closing profile and, at least, a breakable piece intermediate, to dismember in case of direct impact against it, and -a transverse porches of the breakable pieces and corresponding longitudinal tunnels practiced in the adjacent pieces, which normally have the shape of a closed lane at the front, but in all case open to the rear, and section equal to or greater than the shape of the porches so that these frames can move along the corresponding tunnels until they exit through their rear opening, so that the breakable parts can be broken down in case of direct frontal impact against the same; -where the porches are arranged in the front part of the corresponding breakdown piece, and -including the tunnels an anterior extreme claw provided with a substantially horizontal branch directed backwards and inserted in the corresponding gantry in rest position so that in case of impact against the ridge piece the integrity of the stacking is maintained by restricting the movement and tipping back of the stacking pieces by the action of the claws against the crossbars of the porches, while in case of direct impact against the breakable parts intermediate the claws do not act and nothing prevents the porches from leaving the rear opening of the tunnels allowing the breakdown of said breakdown parts with a small energy absorption that prevents damage against the body that hits the support.
In this way, in case of impact against the bionda profile, which will be the case of a vehicle accident, the forces are transmitted from top to bottom and from front to back along the support, preventing the claws from tipping backwards. and the sliding of the upper pieces of the stack with respect to the lower ones, fulfilling its task of holding the biond profile; while in the event of a direct impact of a motorist who is sliding at ground level, the forces are not transmitted from top to bottom by the breakable parts, the claws not acting in this case and also sliding each gantry of each breakable piece until leaving through the open rear of each tunnel, dismantling the support and minimizing damage to the body of the motorist.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 shows a gentleman perspective view of a support of the invention holding a biond section closure profile.
Figure 2 shows a side view of the support of the invention at rest and two enlarged details in section of the overlap area between the frames and claws between the different pieces.
10 Figure 3 shows a view similar to that of Figure 2 in case of impact against the upper bionde profile, maintaining the support its integrity and cooperating in the absorption of impact energy.
Figure 4 shows a view similar to that of Figure 2 in case of impact against the area of
15 the breakdown pieces, which produces the dismemberment of the support with minimal damage to a body that hits it.
Figure 5 shows a view similar to that of Figure 4, with the breakdown pieces completely dismembered.
20 Figure 6 shows a detail from a rear perspective of the support area between the ridge piece and the top breakable piece, the open tunnel being visible backwards, the portico inserted therein, the claw inserted in the portico, and the nails sides of the ridge piece.
DESCRIPTION OF A PRACTICAL EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The support (1) for road guard protections of the invention comprises (see figs. 1 and 2):
30 -a stacking (6) of pieces comprising a lower fixed base part (2) provided with means for ground connection (3), a fixed ridge piece (4) for coupling a closing profile (5) and, at least one intermediate breakdown piece (7, 7a), to be dismembered in case of direct impact against it, and (see also fig 6) -a transverse porches (9) protruding from the breakable pieces (7, 7a) and about tunnels (90)
35 corresponding longitudinals practiced in the adjacent pieces, which are shaped

lane closed at the front and open back and section equal to or greater than the shapeof the frames (9) so that said frames (9) can move along the tunnels (90)corresponding until leaving through its rear opening (92) so that the pieces can be broken down (7,7a) can be broken down in case of direct frontal impact against them, as seen in thefigs 4 and 5;-where the frames (9) are arranged in the front part of the breakdown piece (7,7a) corresponding, and- Understanding the tunnels (90) a claw (93) extreme anterior (see details of figs 2 and 3)provided with a substantially horizontal branch (94) directed backwards and inserted in the porch
(9) corresponding in rest position so that in case of impact against the ridge piece
(4) the integrity of the stack (6) is maintained by restricting the movement and tipping back of the pieces (2, 4, 7, 7a) of the stack by the action of the claws (93) against the crossbars (96) of the porches (9), as seen in fig 3, while in case of direct impact against the breakable parts (7, 7a) intermediate the claws (93) do not act and nothing prevents the porches (9) from leaving the opening rear (92) of the tunnels (90) allowing the breakdown of said breakdown parts (7, 7a) with a small energy absorption that prevents damage against the body that hits the support (1).
In a first variant of the invention, not shown, the stack (6) would comprise a single first breakdown piece (7) that would comprise both upper and lower porch frames (9) to be inserted into an upper tunnel (90) of the base piece ( 2) and another lower tunnel (90) of the ridge piece (4).
In another possible embodiment of the invention, which is the one shown in the figures, the stacking
(6) it comprises a first lower breakable piece (7) and one or more second breakable pieces (7a) arranged successively above and each comprising an upper gantry (9) and a lower tunnel (90), the base piece comprising ( 2) an upper tunnel (90) for the passage of the lower portico (9) of the first breakable piece (7). Specifically in the figures a variant is shown with a first breakdown piece (7) lower with its upper and lower gantries (9), and another second top breakable piece (7a) with a single gantry
(9)  higher.
Preferably, the claws (93) are shaped like a hook, the height of its extreme retaining branch (97) being in the resting position such that it does not reach the crossbar (96) of the corresponding gantry (9), as seen in the details of fig 2, so as not to prevent in case of

impact against the area of the support (1) occupied by the breakable parts (7, 7a) this extreme retaining branch (97) may interfere with the sliding backward of said crossbar (96), which would result in a greater resistance against the breakdown, but in case of impact against the bionda, the previous elevation of the pieces (2, 4, 7, 7a) by the moment of overturning precisely interlocks the extreme retaining branch (97) against the crossbar (96) and cooperates in hold the pieces together preventing their slippage.
It is also provided that the ridge piece (4) can comprise nails (8) protruding inferiorly in its rear area and directed backwards (see figs. 3 and 6); the breakdown piece (7, 7a) comprising upper stops (99) for supporting said nails (8), to generate a tipping moment of the front part of the ridge piece (4) in case of direct transmission of forces against the same and to favor the previous vertical transmission of the forces through the claws (93) and porches (9) with the purpose of maintaining the formal stability of the support (1) in case of impact against the bionda. In this example it can be seen how part of the nails (8) is developed above the support plane against the lower part, but at the moment of impact the overturning of the ridge piece (4) causes said nails (8) to enter completely in the stops (99) as seen in fig 3. It is also provided that the nails (8) can comprise inclined planes (80) slips on their front face, to favor the dismemberment of the breakable pieces (7, 7a ) in the proper direction from front to back (see detail in fig 3).
In addition, it is provided that the base piece (2) most preferably comprises a ramp
(20) above that is projected in front of the stack (6) to direct the motorist against the breakable parts (7, 7a) arranged immediately on it. This feature would not be necessary if the base piece (2) does not protrude from the ground.
As for the means for joining the floor of the base piece (2), for example, they comprise lower projections (21) (see fig. 1) or an anchor plate.
Indicate that ideally one or more of the pieces (2, 4, 7, 7a) are materialized in plastic, and will preferably be hollow.
Sufficiently described the nature of the invention, as well as the manner in which it is carried out in practice, it should be noted that the provisions indicated above and represented in the attached drawings are subject to detailed modifications in

as long as they do not alter the fundamental principle.
