OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a device to avoid generating splashes during the use of toilets.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a removable modular element, attachable to the edge of a toilet bowl that prevents the classic splashes that originate in physiological acts, both urinating and defecating.
The device is applicable to any type of toilet, acting as an elastic element that slows down and consequently slows the access of urine and / or excrement to said toilet, thus avoiding the generation of splashes. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
As it is known, in the physiological actions of urinating, as well as defecating in a toilet, it is relatively frequent that such waste, whether liquid or solid when hitting the water contained in the toilet siphon, generates splashes that can reach stain the user, as well as the toilet itself, with the consequent and negative impact that this implies.
Trying to obviate this problem, devices are known to prevent splashing, in some cases to avoid staining the ring of the toilet lid, such as in document U200200944, relating to an anti-splash lid for toilets, which consists of a kind of cover that is attached to the surface of the toilet on its upper part, presenting a recess and its two ergonomic lateral areas to said recess, its front being complemented with a hinge for fixing said lid, all in order to raise the hole of Access to the toilet to an area close to the emission of urine in men, thus avoiding splashing in the upper area of the lid.
This solution is complex, since it requires a bulky accessory, which must be removed and put on every time the urination is carried out, regardless of the fact that it does not solve the problem of splashes that occur during defecation.
Document US 2005241053 describes an accessory that can be attached to toilets that causes urine to be guided to descend in a controlled manner and avoid splashing, assuming a solution that is much more complex than the previous one and difficult to apply.
Also, document US 20050144711 describes an anti-splash and deodorant device for urinals, which although it presents a simple and easily implantable solution, its application is limited to wall urinals, making it impossible to apply to conventional toilets, and which is intended exclusively to prevent splashing of urine, which lets through its spongy body, but that obviously would not allow its use when it comes to solid waste.
In US 7921478, another anti-splash device for toilets is described, consisting of a kind of folding deflector that although it prevents the ring and the lid of the toilet can be splashed with the urine of a man, it does not avoid the problems of splashes when the needs are made sitting, that is when defecating.
The document corresponding to patent WO 201023697 referring to an anti-splash device for toilets can also be cited, a device that is intended for male people to urinate in a sitting position, presenting the same problems or limitations mentioned above and related to problems of splashes when defecating. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The device that is recommended resolves in a fully satisfactory way the problem previously exposed in each and every one of the aspects mentioned based on a simple but extremely effective solution.
To do this, and more specifically, the device of the invention is constituted from an oval contour frame, with an open end sector and the other endowed with a box for coupling by plugging an arm through which it is fixed the assembly on the upper edge of the toilet bowl, with the particularity that the oval frame, which has dimensions in plan according to the access opening to the toilet siphon, is provided with a plurality of flexible filaments, preferably silicone , although they could be of any other flexible material, which determine a damping surface for urine and solid feces.
In this way, and once the device is implanted, a kind of flexible barrier is defined at the mouth of the toilet siphon, determined from the silicone filaments mentioned above, which act as damping and deformable elements, avoiding the abrupt contact of the urine or feces with the water contained in said siphon, thus avoiding the generation of splashes in both one and another case.
The device has the peculiarity that the frame with the silicone filaments is independent from the fixing arm, said frame being preferably made of plastic material, as well as the arm, of a rigid or flexible nature "said arm presenting an end section angled in "a, to define the means of adaptation to the edge or mouth of the toilet bowl, projecting from said configuration in" an arm inclined downwards so that the frame provided at the opposite end, with the deformable horizontal horizontal surface in functions of the damping element is located above the level of the water contained in the toilet siphon.
In this way a removable device is achieved, with a minimum volumetric occupancy, highly effective in its function. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
To complement the description that will then be made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description. where, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented:
Figure 1 shows a general perspective view of an anti-splash device for toilets made in accordance with the object of the present invention.
Figure 2.- Shows a bottom perspective view of the assembly of the previous figure.
Figure 3.- Shows an exploded perspective view of the device of the previous figures.
Figure 4. - Sample, a sectional view of a toilet in which the device of the invention is properly installed.
Figure 5.-Shows, finally, a detail in plan of a variant embodiment of the device. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
In view of the figures outlined, it can be seen how the device that is recommended is constituted from a frame (1), which in the chosen embodiment example is obtained in PVC, without discarding other materials, of oval configuration and opened by one of its ends, defining a pair of arched arms from which a plurality of filaments (2) of silicone or similar material emerge internally, which define a surface that allows the passage of urine and even feces, by elastic deformation of said filaments, thus significantly reducing the speed of access of said urine or feces to the toilet bowl and therefore avoiding the generation of splashes.
The rear end of the frame (1) includes a box (3) in which the end of an arm (4) is plugged in, at the opposite end of which it has a double bend to form a hooking element (5) to be fixed. to the upper edge (6) of the cup or toilet (7) in which it is applied.
Thus, and as shown in Figure 4, the frame (1) with the silicone filaments (2) are positioned forming a deformable horizontal plane above the level (8) of the water contained in the toilet siphon, in such a way that these silicone filaments (2) act as damping means for urine and feces due to their high flexibility, returning to their inoperative position once these feces or urine have been transferred, that is to say, re-forming a damping surface, being able to be used as many times as necessary without affecting its stability or structure.
As can be seen in Figure 5, the frame (1 ') can have a single piece character with the arm (4), which is finished off by its lower extremity in a "V" sector, from which the two emerge arched arms that participate in said frame, presenting its filaments (2 ') of greater length and slightly curved.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the filaments (2-2 ') are capable of including a coating based on an air freshener product.
In parallel, these filaments (2-2 ') are likely to include a coating based on a thermochromatic paint, that is to say that it changes color when it comes into contact with the urine, especially designed so that the little ones learn to use the toilet correctly .
