Preferred Embodiment of the Invention
Figure 1 shows the lifting device 1 of supermarket baskets 5 that the present invention proposes, which as it is observed is adapted to engage between the floor and the bottom of a supermarket cashier line. As can be seen, the lifting device 1 comprises a lifting spindle 2 and a carriage 3 mounted to the spindle 2 by means of a screw-type threaded coupling in a manner already known in the state of the art, so that the rotation of the spindle over its axis in one direction or another, produces the rise or fall of the car. The device also comprises an electric motor (not shown) to drive the spindle 2 and allow the lifting and lowering of the basket 5. The carriage 3 is provided with at least one suction cup 4, to fix the basket 5 by suction.
As shown in Figure 1, the lifting device 1 comprises a pair of guides 7 arranged on both sides of the spindle 2. The carriage 3 is mounted to both the spindle 2 and the guides 7, allowing greater stability thereof for raising and lowering the basket 5.
Preferably, the car 3 is T-shaped and has suction cups 4 both in its upper part and in its lower part. However, the carriage 3 can be adapted to the different types of baskets 5. Depending on the different types of baskets, the suction cups will be placed in one position or another.
By using suction cups, the invention allows to adapt to surfaces of all kinds, even those with difficult grip. The suction cups allow a very wide operating range, and a very low system error rate.
Figures 1 and 2 show carriage 3 in its two extreme positions. Figure 1 shows the car 3 near the ground, where the spindle 2 has completely descended, while Figure 2 shows the car 3 near the cash lines, where the spindle 2 has completely ascended.
Figure 2b shows a detailed view of the carriage 3 in its maximum ascent position. Figure 2c shows a side view of the carriage 3 shown in Figure 2b. As noted, the
5

carriage 3 can have an extension 14 perpendicular to the carriage body 3 to support and correctly position the basket 5 in the lifting device.
The principle of operation of the lifting device is as follows:
1. Approximation of the basket to the device.
The customer approaches the basket to the basket lifting device as it would normally do under current conditions.
2. Pneumatic system drive.
Once the basket is properly positioned, the pneumatic system begins to generate ford through a "Venturi" in the suction cups and the basket is attached to the cart. For the drive, several alternatives are available:
• User buttoning, so that the client or the cashier would be responsible for generating the ford in the suction cups. If button 6 were close to the cashier, it would have control of the device at all times.
• Automatic mechanical drive. Once the basket is positioned, a surface button (located on the ground or on the cupping area itself) activates the equipment that generates the ford. It is a more autonomous solution and therefore simpler for users.
• Automatic activation by detection. As in the previous case, the device works autonomously, but by means of a photoelectric sensor that allows to verify that the basket has been positioned.
3. Lift spindle drive.
Once the ford system has been activated, with a maximum delay of 1 second, the motor is driven so that the spindle rotates on its axis and produces the vertical movement of the car.
Taking into account the speed at which the motor rotates, everything will be calculated to obtain a maximum rise time of 10 seconds. To do this, taking into account a distance of rise of each sales system in each supermarket, a regulation on the motor must be used to set the gearbox and spindle fixed for all customers demanding the system.

4. Stop at optimum height
In order for the basket to stop at the appropriate point, the device has a limit switch (mechanical or optical) in the spindle or in the gdas. This will avoid errors in the device.
5. Lifting spindle drive.
Once the products are unloaded, by manual operation or automatically after receiving an external signal indicative of a empty basket, the spindle will descend completely and leave the basket on the ground.
6. Basket release.
Once the basket is on the floor, the suction cups will release the basket.
For the described operation, the lifting device 1 has a control unit configured to activate the ascent of the spindle 2 from the information provided by the button 6, the surface button 15, or the sensor, and also to activate the lowering of the spindle 2 from the information provided by an external signal indicative of basket 5 vada.
In addition, the control unit is configured to activate the motor within a maximum period of one second, and to activate the release of the suction cups 4 when the spindle 2 has completely descended.
For greater convenience, the device may include an automation part for its operation, where the main steps are as follows:
• Start of cycle. In order for the basket to start raising the device, it must be able to detect that the basket is close so that the process can begin. Several types of sensors can be used, such as presence sensors, mechanical, optical ...
• Suction. The suction will work while the presence of the basket is guaranteed.
• Elevation. With the appropriate delay, the spindle will rise to the signal provided by the limit switch. It will remain that way, until an external signal confirms that the basket is empty.
5
10
fifteen
twenty
25
30
• End of the cycle. Once the basket is detected, the spindle is lowered until the end of the lower stroke, which may be mechanical or optical.
• Unlocking the basket. Once down and with all the signals due in correct condition the device will stop sucking proceeding to the release of the basket.
• Additional security measures. The device will include security alarms to ensure the correct functioning of the device.
Figure 3 shows a front view of the elevation device 1 of supermarket baskets installed under a box line, where said device has optical means for detecting the limit switch. Said optical means have a pair of inductive sensors 10 arranged in extreme positions of the spindle travel, and with a reflector 11, arranged at the lower end of the spindle, and in such a way that the inductive sensors 10 are reflected in said reflector 11.
According to a preferred embodiment, and as shown in Figure 3, the inductive sensors 10 can be located in the gtias 7 of the device, and the reflector 11 at the lower end of the spindle 2.
According to a preferred embodiment, and as shown in Figure 4, the lifting device 1 can have a housing 8 to protect the user.
Finally, Figure 5 shows a supermarket cash system, which has a cash line 9, the lifting device 1 of baskets described above, installed below the box line 9 and connected to a pneumatic installation of which Conventionally, they already exist in supermarkets, which is used to suction the at least one suction cup 4.
Figure 5 also shows an air ducting to Venturi 12 for suction of the suction cups, an air storage 16, and an air ducting to suction cups 13 from the air storage 16.
As can be seen in Figures 1-5, the lifting device does not protrude from the cash line, and therefore does not interfere with the passage of customers in transit areas. The device gains space on the surface of the supermarket and offers security for users, when practically all the integrated device goes under the box line.
5
Finally, in view of this description and figures, the person skilled in the art may understand that the invention has been described according to some preferred embodiments thereof, but that multiple variations can be introduced in said preferred embodiments, without departing from the object of the Invention as claimed.
