FLOATING DEVICE FOR MUSCLE STRENGTHENING IN WATER.
DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL SECTOR
The present invention is included within the Sports Science sector, specifically in the area related to physical and sports training. This invention is presented within the field of application of the manufacture of new tools for the improvement of the physical condition.
STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE
The improvement of the physical condition through the realization of movements within the water is becoming very popular in recent years. The training of the musculature in the water protects the joints by decreasing the effect of the force of gravity on the body, and allows resistance to be created by simply moving the body into that fluid.
The aquatic environment allows the performance of exercises performed both with the muscles of the lower train and with the upper train (provided that the arms are submerged). Exercises can be performed without load, with load to increase the difficulty of execution (dumbbells, bars, anklets or weighted wristbands) or using some devices (palmlpedo gloves, boards or Hydrotone® systems) that seek to increase the friction offered by the Water on its way. However, these devices are not interchangeable to train the upper and lower extremities. In addition, the execution of the exercises with these devices only allows thrust movements that fundamentally cause concentric activations.
Apart from these training systems, other devices can be used for muscle strengthening in water. According to the Arqulmedes principle, every body submerged within a fluid experiences an upward force called thrust, equivalent to the weight of the fluid dislodged by the body. Therefore, air-filled objects offer resistance to being submerged in water and exert ascending forces towards the surface when they are under it. Therefore, the force that must be exerted to counteract the buoyancy of these objects allows the muscles of the body limbs to be trained. There are concentric contractions of the muscles in the actions of thrust and / or traction when it comes to submerging the floating object, and
eccentric contractions when it comes to coping with the upward force of

Object flotation when underwater. In this sense, multiple scientific studies have concluded that strength training with eccentric contractions is essential for the development of strength, power and the prevention of muscle injuries. In addition, since the movement of the object develops within a fluid, it is difficult to maintain a rectilinous and uniform movement since the object can make unexpected movements when pushed or pulled into the water, which causes the activation of synergistic muscles and stabilizers
Based on these principles, some trainers use a rubber ball held with both hands to train the upper body muscles. However, this method has limitations since it does not allow the musculature of the lower body to work, it does not allow unilateral movements with balls of a certain volume since they lack grip systems, and it does not allow traction movements since they lack anchoring systems. . In this line, there is a floating device with grip for underwater training of the upper train (see patent JP2014210154), which although it includes a grip, it is not very functional and ergonomic for certain movements, and does not solve the other limitations outlined above.
Faced with all these limitations, the creation of a floating device for muscle strengthening in water is proposed. The invention consists of a floating geometric body with built-in grip and anchoring systems that allows both the lower and upper train muscles to be trained, to perform thrust and traction movements, and produce eccentric activation of the muscles. It is also an economic device, light and easy to use, which can be used by anyone to strengthen the muscles in the water, or to do a rehabilitation after a musculoskeletal injury.
EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates, as expressed in the title of the present application, to a floating device for muscle strengthening in water. This device is designed so that a person can train the muscles of the lower and upper train trying to control the buoyancy of a hollow body in the water

of practical realization of the same, it is accompanied as an integral part of said description, some figures where with an illustrative and non-limiting nature, the following has been represented:
Figure 1 shows a front view of the floating device with a spherical geometric body.
Figure 2.- Shows a side view of the floating device with spherical geometric body.
Figure 3.- Shows a side view of the floating device anchored to a body limb.
Figure 4.- Shows a top view of the floating device with hand inserted in the grip band.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention comprises the following technical characteristics:
- A geometric body, either round or polyhedral body, of variable volume and made with soft and water resistant elastomer material, which swells with air through a valve and has a plastic plug
- A rough surface that has on one of the faces or curved surfaces of the invention a pair of adjustable straps by means of a hole and buckle system, made from the same elastomer as the geometric body and arranged symmetrically with respect to the sagittal plane of said body , allowing the anchorage of the device to a body limb.
- A grip band made from the same elastomer as the geometric body, arranged on the face or curved surface opposite the place where the straps are located, ashes to the surface of the invention so that once the palm of the hand is introduced, The geometric body cannot be easily released from it.
Unlike other strengthening devices on the market, this invention, light and easy to use, allows you to train the muscles eccentrically thanks to the buoyancy of the hollow geometric body that tends to rise to the surface of the water. In addition, the anchorage and grip systems existing in the device enable the agonist, synergist and arm and leg stabilizer muscles to be activated. Thus, the described invention constitutes an important novelty in the field of muscle strengthening devices in the water, since its design and structure allows that from a single device movements of thrust and traction can be performed, both

the musculature of the lower train and the upper train, especially affecting eccentric muscular contraction.
EXAMPLE OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
5 As can be seen in Figures 1 (front view) and 2 (side view), the floating device for muscle strengthening in water comprises:
A sphere of not less than 10 cm in diameter (1) made of soft and water resistant rubber with a valve for inflation and a plastic cap (2)
A rough surface that has a pair of rubber belts (3) on its surface, 10 not less than 3 cm wide and 15 cm long, adjustable by means of a hole and buckle system (4), made of rubber from of the body than the sphere and symmetrically arranged with respect to the sagittal plane that divides the sphere into the right and left side, allowing the anchoring of the rubber sphere to a body limb (see figure 3)
A grip band of not less than 6 cm wide (5) made of rubber from the body 15 of the sphere, placed on the curved surface opposite to where the straps are located, and ashes to the surface of the sphere so that Once the palm of the hand has been introduced, the dial cannot easily be released from it (see figure 4).
In view of this description and the figures, it can be seen that the invention has been described according to some preferred embodiments thereof, but it will be clear to the person skilled in the art that multiple variations can be introduced into said preferred embodiments without exceeding the object of the claimed invention.
