Microfluidic device for the separation of liquid from the same liquid containing deformable particles without external energy sources. The device comprises at least one transport channel (1) that uses several fluid-hydrodynamic principles to increase the amount of separated/obtained fluid; at least one separation area (2) that divides part of the fluid flowing through the transport channel towards at least one collection channel (3) or reaction chamber. The separation area (2) may include at least one array of pillars, the configuration of which maximizes the amount of fluid extracted at the same time. The collection channel (3) has an adaptable depth and width according to the need of the test to be implemented. In particular, the invention provides a filter for separating plasma from a drop of blood with great efficiency, which can be used in portable blood analysis systems.
